Redwoods have well-documented physical and mental health benefits for us, including decreasing stress, depression, and anxiety, easing strong emotions, improving sleep, and boosting the immune system. In this guided meditation, we explore what wisdom we can connect with in journeying with and as the Redwood. Learning facts that can give us deeper insights to thrive individually and in community, we will meditate on questions that help us expand in connection to ourselves, each other, and our earthly home. Utilizing visualization, breath awareness, somatic orienting, and subtle somatic movement, we embrace the energy of the Redwood and are open to and embody the wisdom within. We are supported on this journey by quotes from the Tao Te Ching and Mark Nepo, as well as music inducing the alpha state, which is associated with calm focused energy, creativity, and vivid visualization.
