Begin to meet yourself right where you are,
Inviting your body to settle here.
Give yourself a nice deep breath,
A big inhale and a gentle exhale.
Subtly start to direct your attention back to your body,
Feeling the rise and fall of your chest and your belly as you breathe,
The temperature of the air coming in and out with that breath.
For the next few exhales,
Feel your body softening into all the places it's being supported,
Really feeling the surface beneath you,
Allowing the outside world to be pulled a little farther away so that you can be right here,
In this experience.
As you scan through your body,
Begin to acknowledge the weight,
The heaviness that you may feel,
Brought on by worries,
Burdens,
Perseverations,
Turning away from judgment,
Just becoming aware,
Noticing how your body is experiencing the world around you.
Consider now what is weighing you down today,
Thoughts,
Maybe old beliefs that haven't yet been updated,
Worries about the future,
Musings about the past,
Are you making meaning where there doesn't need to be any?
Allow yourself to observe,
Just getting a sense of where this weight is coming from and where you feel it in your body.
Begin now to invite some deeper breaths to those places,
Allowing these deeper breaths to support your body to release what it can,
No pressure,
No expectations,
Just an invitation.
As you find your way back into this present moment,
Allow yourself to come back to the place where things can be simple,
Where you can be here,
Just experiencing life,
Letting the burden fall off your shoulders,
Allowing energy to be transmuted,
Shifting out of your body,
Being replaced by lightness.
Take some time here to allow the energy to move as it will,
No need to direct it or manage it,
Just allowing it to happen.
Now allow your attention to move through your body and notice the places that have been able to soften,
These are the places that are ready now and if there are other places that still feel heavy,
Know that they will find their way there.
Continue to offer them support by way of your deeper breaths.
In this very moment,
Bring to mind something joyful,
Something that brings a smile to your face,
It could be an experience,
A sensation,
Let it anchor you to this feeling of possibility,
Where your body can feel lighter and your mind more clear.
Appreciate your body's ability to carry,
To release,
To shift and change as you experience the world around you and I invite you to tune into small moments of joy today and they will help you find your way back to lightness.
Let's take a deeper breath together now,
Nice slow inhale,
Even slower exhale.
Being here and now,
Finding some gentle movement in your body,
Allowing the movement to be light and easy as you find your way back into the space you're in and gently and slowly moving back into your day.
Slowly moving into the next moments with a little more ease,
A little more lightness.
Remember that this practice is always available to you when you feel that sense of heaviness,
