Toby's Cosmic Journey Toby was a curious boy with a big imagination.
Every night,
Before he went to bed,
He loved to lie down,
Close his eyes and picture the universe.
His favourite game was imagining the planets and the glowing energy power inside his body,
Called chakras.
Tonight was no different,
But little did Toby know,
He was about to go on an incredible,
Fantastic adventure.
As Toby lay in bed,
A soft shimmering light appeared in his room.
It wasn't too bright,
Just gentle enough to make him feel calm and warm inside.
The light began to swirl,
And out of it stepped a glowing figure,
A star guide named Nova.
Toby,
Nova said in a voice like the wind,
Would you like to journey to the stars and learn about your chakras and the planets?
Toby's eyes opened wide and sparkled,
Yes please!
Nova waved her hand and suddenly Toby felt himself floating gently upward,
His bed transforming into a cosy big fluffy cloud that carried him higher and higher until he found himself surrounded by beautiful twinkling stars.
First,
Nova brought Toby to a glowing red planet with swirling crimson dust storms.
This is Mars,
Nova said,
And it connects to your root chakra,
Glowing red energy at the base of your spine.
This is what makes you feel safe and strong,
Like the sturdy ground beneath your feet.
What's a chakra?
Toby asked.
Ah,
Nova said,
Chakras are the points of power and energy throughout your body.
You have seven of them,
They are like magic within you,
And you Toby,
Have a very special powerful ones.
Toby felt a warm steady energy in his body.
I feel like a big strong tree,
He said.
That's your root chakra,
Nova explained.
Whenever you feel wobbly or scared,
Think of Mars and the red energy helping you stand tall.
Next,
They floated toward a glowing orange light.
This is Venus,
Nova said,
The planet of love and creativity.
It connects to your sacral chakra.
It's just below your belly button.
This is where your feelings and imagination flow like a river.
As they got closer,
Toby saw shimmering orange waters reflect in the stars.
It feels like when I'm drawing or dancing,
In making pictures,
Toby said smiling.
Exactly,
Nova replied.
Your sacral chakra helps you create,
Imagine and feel joy.
It's always there.
It's within you,
Just like Venus is always in our solar system.
Soon,
Nova guided Toby to the brightest light of all,
The sun.
Glowing golden and yellow.
This is your solar plexus chakra,
Nova explained.
Solar what?
Toby asked.
Right inside your belly.
It's where your confidence and courage live.
Toby felt a warm glow in his stomach,
Like a bright summer's day.
It feels like when I try something new and exciting,
Like if I make new friends or go on holiday.
That's your solar plexus,
Nova said.
And look,
There's the moon balancing your brightest sun energy.
Together,
They can remind you to be brave and calm.
Next,
They floated back toward Earth.
Hey,
This is where I live,
Toby said excitedly.
Then he noticed it glowing with a soft green light.
This is your heart chakra,
Nova said,
Placing a hand over her chest.
It's where your love and kindness come from.
Toby imagined the green energy in his chest,
Like it was growing bigger and bigger,
Like a tree sprouting branches.
I feel happy and peaceful,
He said.
That's your heart chakra,
Nova explained.
It's always connected to Earth,
Reminding you to give love and receive love.
You're a very special boy,
And your heart chakra is very powerful.
You are kind and you give love and I can tell you are loved by all those that surround you.
Next,
Nova pointed to a shimmering blue planet nearby.
This is Mercury,
And it connects your throat chakra.
It's an energy centre that helps you speak your truth and share your ideas.
Toby felt a cool,
Refreshing energy in his throat.
It's like when I tell a story or sing a song,
He said.
Exactly,
Nova replied.
Whenever you need to say something important,
Think of Mercury and the blue sky.
It's important you tell people how you feel,
Whether that's being happy,
Sad,
Or even angry sometimes.
Letting Mercury's power help you speak what you feel will help you feel calm and lighter.
Then they floated to a dark indigo space filled with stars,
Where a huge ringed planet spun slowly.
This is Saturn,
And it connects your third eye chakra.
That's right between your eyebrows.
It's where your wisdom and imagination live.
Yes,
I recognise this planet,
Said Toby.
It's my favourite.
I love the rings.
Then Toby felt a gentle pulsing at his forehead,
Like a star shining inside of him.
I see pictures in my mind,
He said.
There are so many of them.
It feels like I have so many ideas in it.
It makes me want to learn.
That's your third eye,
Nova said.
It helps you dream and see the path ahead,
Just like Saturn's rings guide the planet.
Finally,
Nova guided Toby to a giant glowing planet.
It was the biggest planet of all,
Jupiter.
It radiated a deep violet light.
This is your crown chakra,
Nova said,
The energy at the top of your head that connects you to the universe and all its magic.
Toby felt a soft tingling in the crown of his head,
Like tiny stars landing on him.
I feel so big,
But light,
Like I'm part of the sky.
I feel like I'm everything all at once.
I feel strong and loved,
He said.
That's your crown chakra,
Nova explained.
It reminds you that you're always connected to something greater.
You're part of everything,
Toby,
And everything is part of you.
As Toby floated back toward Earth,
He felt a peaceful and calm energy flowing through him,
As though every part of him was glowing with the energy of the planets.
Toby,
Nova said softly.
Like I said,
Remember,
You are always part of the universe,
And the universe is always part of you.
The planets and the chakras are always here as well to guide you and help and support you.
When Toby's cozy,
Fluffy cloud landed gently in his bedroom,
Nova waved a hand and a shimmering light slowly faded away.
Toby climbed back into his bed,
Feeling warm,
Safe and connected to the stars.
As he closed his eyes,
He whispered,
Thank you.
And with the glowing energy of the planets and chakras inside him,
Toby drifted off into a peaceful,
Dreamy sleep.
