Welcome brothers,
Take this moment to settle where you are,
Knowing that this time is for you.
A space to sit together,
Even when apart.
And to remember the ancient medicine of fire.
Fire has always been our gathering point,
Our place of story,
Warmth and truth.
Tonight we come to the fire to remember something simple and powerful.
We remember that we are already enough.
Get yourself in a comfortable position,
Either lying down or sitting up,
Whatever you find the most comfortable.
And feel your body where it meets the ground or chair.
Notice the weight of your body being held.
And gently let your breath begin to soften.
Inhale gently through your nose and exhale slowly through your mouth.
With each breath imagine yourself arriving more fully into this circle,
Into this present moment.
Now imagine before you a great fire burning steadily.
See the flames dancing,
Golden,
Red,
Orange,
Sometimes blue.
At the base.
Notice the sounds and the crackle,
The hiss of wood releasing its stored up energy.
Feel the warmth on your skin,
The glow that reaches out and touches you.
This fire has been burning for generations,
Tended by those who came before.
And now,
Tended by us.
Allow yourself to just sit by this fire.
You do not need to do anything to deserve its warmth.
The fire gives freely,
Just as you are.
As you sit with the fire now,
Notice the thoughts that arise for you.
Perhaps a voice that says you should be more,
That you should be doing or should have done more,
That you should be stronger,
Calmer or braver.
Now imagine feeding that thought into the fire.
See the flames open and accept it,
Consume it.
The flames transform it into smoke that rises into the night sky.
One by one,
Bring forward the burdens you carry,
Expectations,
Comparisons,
Judgements.
Offer them all now into the fire.
Watch them burn.
And as the flames rise higher and higher,
Feel the truth that remains behind.
You are already enough.
Your presence here is enough.
Your breath is enough.
Your heart,
Still beating,
Is enough.
There is nothing at all you need to fix in this moment.
Nothing to prove and nothing to earn.
The fire reminds you,
You are enough,
Exactly as you are.
Now let's anchor this into the body.
Place a hand gently over your heart space.
Feel its steady rhythm.
Whisper silently,
I am enough.
Let the words land,
Not just in the mind,
But deep in your bones,
Flowing through your blood and parts of your breath.
I am enough.
Imagine the fire's glow entering your chest,
Filling your heart with warmth,
Spreading through your ribs,
Shoulders,
Down your arms,
Into your hands.
And fingers.
Feel it move down into your belly,
Your hips,
Your legs,
Your feet and your toes.
The whole body glowing with fire of enoughness.
Nothing missing,
Nothing lacking.
Breathe it in deeply.
I am enough.
As the fire continues to burn,
Know it will always be there for you.
Anytime you doubt,
You can return to its warmth,
To remember your place,
Remember your worth,
Your enoughness.
Begin to notice your physical surroundings once again.
The sounds in the space surround you.
The feeling of where your body rests.
Take a deep breath in and sigh it out.
When you are ready,
Open your eyes gently,
Carrying with you the fire's reminder that you,
My friend,
Are enough.
And together,
In this circle,
We are enough.
Have a beautiful rest of your day.
Go in peace.
