Hello and welcome to this breathwork and meditation session.
Today,
We're going to use a simple but powerful technique known as belly breathing,
Also known as diaphragmic.
We're going to use the breath and our diaphragm.
To experience the peace and ease and joy and love that's available in our body.
Right now,
In this moment.
Also known as the generous present.
So let us begin.
Before we get started.
Allow yourself to get really,
Really comfortable.
Wiggle any body parts,
Move yourself around,
Get into a lovely comfortable position.
You can sit upright with your feet grounded for this practice,
Or you can lie down where you're fully support.
That's totally up to you,
Whatever feels good for you right now.
Let your hands rest gently on your belly.
Or your heart.
And for the next few moments,
There's nowhere else you need to be.
There's nothing to fix,
Nothing to achieve.
Just this breath and just this moment.
Belly breathing.
It's one of the most natural and healing ways to breathe.
It can help us calm the nervous system,
Lower our stress and anxiety.
It can slow down our heart.
It relaxes the body.
It brings more oxygen into our system.
It's a beautiful way to improve our sleep,
Emotional balance,
Mental clarity,
Our digestion,
And create a deeper sense of safety.
And connection with ourselves.
With every soft belly breath,
You are sending a message to your body.
You're saying,
I am safe.
I can let go.
I can solve them.
Now gently close down the eyes if that feels comfortable for you right now.
Begin simply noticing your breath exactly as it is.
No need to change anything yet.
Just observe.
Just witness.
Feeling the rise and fall of your body.
And now.
Slowly.
.
.
Breathe in through your nose.
Allowing the belly to gently expand like a balloon.
And softly.
Exhale.
Letting the belly relax and fall.
Inhale slow,
Soft,
Nourishing breath.
Exhale long gentle releasing beautiful.
Again,
Breathing into the belly.
Creating that space inside of you.
And then breathing out,
Letting go of the tension you no longer need to carry.
Feel your shoulders soften with each breath.
Relaxing your jaw.
Consciously softening the muscles around the eyes.
Allow the breath to become smooth and effortless.
Like gentle waves rolling onto the shore.
As you breathe deep into your belly.
Imagine each breath filling you with calmness,
Peace and warmth.
And each exhale you're releasing the stress,
The worryness,
Some heaviness or even overwhelm,
Just let it go.
Inhale,
Peace.
Exhale.
Attention.
Inhale Calm Exhale.
Letting go.
Beautiful work.
If the mind drifts away and gets lost and thoughts and stories just come back.
Back to the breath.
Now bring your awareness to your belly beneath your hands.
Feel its gentle movement.
It's softness.
It's wisdom.
Your breath has been with you through every moment of your life,
Quietly supporting you,
Keeping you alive.
Even on the hard days,
It's been with you.
And today,
You are finally giving yourself permission to slow down and listen.
Listen deeply.
Now take a slightly deeper breath in.
And saw it out gently to the mouth.
Again,
Inhale deeply and sigh it out.
Now let's return back to just nasal breathing.
So let's breathe deeply into the belly.
Feel the belly rise.
Breathing out through the nose,
Slowly allowing the body to melt a little bit more.
Beautiful.
Imagine now.
That with every inhale,
You're breathing in love into your body.
I'm with every exhale.
You may want to let go of self-judgement.
Right,
Sure.
Or any emotional weight you're carrying.
You do not need to hold on to anything so tightly.
You are allowed to rest.
You're allowed to breathe.
You're allowed to feel supported.
Continue breathing.
Gently at your own pace.
Maybe you would like to recite these affirmations inside your mind gently,
Quietly.
Sane to the body.
I am safe.
I am calm.
I am grounded.
I am enough.
Let those words sink into the body.
Not just in the mind.
But deep into your nervous system.
Feel the breath anchoring you into the present moment,
The generous present.
This moment right here.
It's a no.
You were enough.
I'll now invite you to breathe deep into the belly,
Take a big breath in through the nose.
Filling up that belly and let it sigh out of the mouth.
Let go.
Beautiful.
I'll invite you now to bring some movement back into the fingers,
The toes,
The body.
Before we finish,
Let's take one final nourishing breath into the nose.
Filling our body with calm,
Gratitude and love for life.
And gently out of the mouth,
Letting go,
A little sigh,
Slowly,
Gently,
Peacefully.
Beautiful work.
Before we open our eyes,
Take this moment to thank yourself for showing up today for yourself.
For breathing,
For slowing down,
For caring and loving yourself.
Whenever you're ready.
Gently open your eyes.
Back into the present moment.
And as you move through your day,
Take this calmness,
Softness,
Gentleness,
This love with you and share it with the world.
Give it out and it will come back to you in tenfold.
Thank you for being with me here today in this practice.
I really,
Really appreciate you.
Have a great day.
God bless.
