So you might like to take some time to get nice and comfy.
Nice and comfy in a posture that will Help you to stay.
Relatively alert,
Perhaps a sense of relaxed awareness or a.
.
.
And alert relaxation if you like.
So whether you wish to sit on a chair or on a cushion or lie down.
Just really inviting in this sense of comfort,
Relaxation.
And also a dignity and an alertness.
And as you're settling in,
You might close your eyes,
If you like.
Or if you prefer to keep your eyes open,
That's fine too.
And perhaps this gentle rolling of your shoulders or a gentle stretching of your neck if you like as you're settling in.
Letting your shoulders rest back and down,
Just to open up your chest a little.
Perhaps.
Lengthening your spine a little,
Perhaps just creating a little stretch there,
Just very gently.
And you might even like to.
.
.
Set an intention for this time.
Perhaps beginning by really giving yourself permission to rest and be present right here,
Right now.
I may be setting this as an intention.
And then you might even like to take a few deep,
Relaxing breaths.
Gently.
Lengthening and deepening your breath,
Just for a few full conscious breaths.
And then allowing your breath to find its own rhythm and pace.
And just as you make any final adjustments to your posture and you really allow your body to settle in.
To your seat or to how you're lying down.
Just remember that.
This is your time.
And the invitation is to really honor whatever it is that you need.
So you may follow along with the guidance or.
.
.
You might follow your own guidance.
Feel free to move at any stage or open your eyes.
Whatever feels supportive for you.
Beginning to find your breath when you're ready.
Starting by feeling your whole body breathing.
Noticing the whole length of your breath.
The natural inflow and outflow.
Each breath,
Filling your lungs and then flowing out again.
And relaxing into this breath awareness.
There's no need to judge your breath or control it,
Try and force it to be a certain way.
This breath of yours has got you this far.
So you can just allow it to be however it is.
This life-giving breath of yours.
Noticing your breath as it flows in and out of your nose.
Noticing sensations of coolness and warmth right there at your nostrils.
Perhaps you feel the movement of your chest.
Movement of your belly.
Rising and falling.
Gently inflating and deflating.
Letting this breath be a strong anchor for you throughout this practice.
Staying close to your breath.
Intimate.
With your breath.
And aware of your presence.
You are aware of your breath.
Being.
And breathing.
Perhaps offering yourself.
Or inviting in a greater sense of presence.
Your breath is.
Not aware of itself.
But you,
Your presence,
Is aware of your breath.
Are you aware that there is a loving presence inside?
Aware of this presence that you are.
Here and now.
Allowing your breath to help you stay connected.
To your presence.
To that sense of being present and aware.
And letting your whole body sink down into the surface below you.
Letting your whole body relax.
Rest a little heavier.
Letting go of holding tension and tightness.
And when you're ready.
.
.
Beginning to really feel however you're feeling right now.
Keeping some attention on the feeling of breathing naturally flowing in and out of your body.
But also just checking in in a very casual way.
Just to notice the internal weather patterns.
How are you feeling right now after your day?
Are there any obvious body sensations you notice?
Density,
Flow,
Soreness,
Softness.
And what thoughts are here?
Do you notice any?
Planning,
Thoughts,
And ease.
Memories or worries.
Just take a moment to check in and notice what thoughts are here.
Maybe your mind feels busy or.
.
.
Maybe it's quiet.
However it is is perfectly okay just as it is.
And noticing any subtle emotions or mood from your day.
And there's nothing you need to do with what you notice but see if you can really feel into whatever is here for you,
Really making space for it.
Letting all that go and.
.
.
Bringing your attention back to your breath,
Wherever you feel it the most.
Moving in and out of your nose.
Expanding and relaxing through your chest.
Or your belly.
Or perhaps the whole breath as one.
Noticing.
Any nuance of your breath.
If it feels short or long.
Smooth or bumpy.
Noticing those little pauses between breaths.
You,
Your being,
Present.
And aware of your breath.
And that's all there is to do right now.
Relaxing into it.
Knowing that your mind will wander from time to time.
It's normal.
It's not a problem.
Know that you can just come back to the feeling of breathing.
And to noticing,
To recognizing that you are the one.
Who is aware of your breathing.
And when you're ready.
.
.
Begin to also include your senses in your meditation.
Starting with your sense of touch.
You might notice the points of pressure and contact.
Where your body meets the surfaces below you.
Not letting your mind think about this,
But.
.
.
Really dropping your mind down into your body and feeling into what's here.
Sensing.
Breathing.
And being.
Feeling the weight of your body resting on the surface below.
Noticing again the feeling of air as it flows in and out of your nostrils.
Noticing the touch of your clothing against your skin.
And feeling the.
.
.
The space around your body.
Allowing yourself to Relax into that space.
Being held by the space and the support beneath you.
And opening to your sense of hearing.
What sounds are here?
Noticing this experience of hearing,
Breathing… and being.
And are there any smells in the air?
Taste in your mouth.
Perhaps there are some.
Colours and shapes behind your closed eyelids.
Or if your eyes are open,
You might notice the different sights you see.
Experiencing this moment of perceiving.
Sensing through your five senses.
Breathing… and being present.
Perhaps even having a sense of your inner world and your outer world at the same time.
Whatever is happening is appearing in your presence,
Your spacious presence.
The presence of being.
And letting go of the outside world when you're ready.
Letting your attention rest back.
In your body.
Being.
Breathing… and feeling body sensations.
Feeling your whole body alive with sensation.
From head to toe.
A feeling of breathing.
Perhaps your heart beating.
A full range of sensation that might be here.
Warmth.
Coolness,
Pressure.
Pulsing tingling flow.
Soreness,
Softness,
Numbness.
Really feeling into it.
Try not to think about it.
Seeing if you can be really curious.
To feel the physical sensations from within.
And when you're ready perhaps letting your attention Gently focus on parts of your body.
That you like.
Or that feel pleasant.
Or are pleasing to you.
Breathing with.
Or into these sensations.
No agenda to change them or.
.
.
Get rid of them or improve them.
But just to explore them,
To get to know them intimately.
Allowing this process to be intuitive.
No need to think about it.
Just spending some time being with any sensations that feel pleasing,
Parts of your body you like or feel pleasant.
And breathing with these sensations.
Sensations alive.
The feeling of breathing.
And your being.
Present,
Aware.
And then when you're ready perhaps allowing your attention to go to any neutral parts of your body,
Any numb areas.
Perhaps parts of your body you.
.
.
Really think about Aura.
Often forgotten.
Again,
Let this be an intuitive process.
Just holding these parts of your body,
These neutral or numb parts of your body in your awareness,
Your presence.
And breathing with them.
Or gently in and out of them.
Being,
Breathing.
And sensing.
And that's all there is to do.
And then whenever you're ready perhaps allowing your attention to flow to any parts of your body that feel uncomfortable.
Where there is pain or tension.
Or any parts of your body you do not like,
You wish were different.
Breathing gently with these sensations.
Or breathing in and out of them.
Not to try and change them.
Just to be lovingly.
With these parts of your body.
And if anything gets too much you can always just open your eyes.
And just see where you are.
Come out of the meditation.
So just for a short time,
Holding any parts of your body that are uncomfortable.
Painful areas you wish were different.
And just breathing gently with these sensations,
Not thinking about them.
Being lovingly with them.
And then having a sense of your whole body when you're ready.
Feeling the pleasant,
The neutral and the unpleasant.
All allowed to be,
All given space.
Breathing.
Feeling,
And being.
And letting your attention rest back even more now.
Just to simply be aware of your breathing.
And your being.
Your presence.
Feeling the sensations of breathing.
Directly,
Intimately.
And recognizing your presence.
That is aware of the feeling of breathing.
Perhaps even a sense of merging with your breath.
Breathing and being.
Being and breathing.
And then at some point Maybe even letting go of the feeling of breathing.
And letting your attention rest all the way back into its source.
Of being.
Just taking a moment to recognize your presence.
Your awareness.
This pure presence.
This being that you are.
Is already whole.
Complete.
And perfect.
As it is.
It is never changed by what you are aware of.
It does not come and go.
It's always here.
Always in the same condition.
This presence that you are does not need to become anything.
Does not need improvement.
Does not need healing.
It is already and always pristine.
Whole,
Perfect.
This is your connectedness with the source of all life.
Allow yourself now to rest.
In this sense of being,
Of presence or or allow yourself.
Just this moment to enjoy.
Peace.
Stillness and Nothing to do.
Enjoying some time to Simply sit and be present in silence for the next while.
Hmm.
Feeling the natural flow of your breath again.
This life-giving breath.
Being curious to really feel how it feels to breathe.
In and out.
And recognizing your presence.
Your presence is that which is aware of your breath.
The presence of being.
And sensing that this essential quality of presence is in everyone else.
Everyone has a sense of being present and aware.
It is the same.
Experience for all of us.
Sense the presence within.
This group of meditators.
Sense the presence within your loved ones,
Family,
Friends.
Sense the presence.
Within all eight billion human beings.
Even those you may not like or approve of.
Those you have an affinity for,
You respect.
Those you don't know of.
We all share this quality of presence.
And as you.
Stay close to your presence.
Feeling your breath.
Noticing again how your body feels from the inside out.
The sensations within.
Feeling the outline of your body areas where your body rests on the surfaces below you.
The touch of your clothing.
And opening out again to take in the different sounds you hear.
Aromas Sydney.
Colours or shapes behind your closed eyelids.
And having a sense of where you are.
Perhaps introducing some gentle movement.
So very mindfully and gently begin to reawaken your body.
Really taking your time now to gradually Reawaken.
Open your eyes whenever you're ready.
Reconnecting with the room around you.
Taking some time to process your meditation,
To reflect on the experience.
There's no rush in your own time.
Returning back to the room when you're ready.
