Welcome beautiful soul.
Take this moment just for yourself.
A moment to slow down,
To breathe and to gently return to home,
To yourself.
My name is Regina and I will be guiding you through this special meditation to regulate your nervous system.
Wherever you are,
However you feel today,
You are always welcome here.
Allow your body to settle comfortably.
You can sit or also lie down.
Just make sure your spine is straight so the energies can move freely.
Soften your breath and when you are ready,
Please gently close your eyes.
Take a long deep breath in through your nose and just let it go.
One more deep breath in and let it go.
Our nervous system is constantly responding to the world around us.
It reacts to stress,
Pressure,
Responsibilities and emotional experiences.
Sometimes this response is helpful.
It allows us to act quickly,
Solve problems and navigate challenges.
But when stress continues for too long,
The nervous system can remain in a state of alertness.
The body stays tense,
The mind keeps racing and it becomes difficult to fully relax.
But the good thing about the body that it also has natural ability to return to balance,
Harmony and healthy.
And today we will gently support that process.
Before we begin the meditation,
I would like to share a short story.
There once was a lake high in the mountains.
Most days the surface of the lake was calm and clear.
You could see the reflection of the sky,
The trees and the mountains perfectly.
But whenever strong winds arrived,
The surface of the water became restless.
Waves move across the lake and the reflections disappeared.
The lake hadn't lost its clarity.
It was simply being moved by the wind.
And when the wind eventually passed,
The water became still again and the reflection returned.
Our nervous system is very similar to this lake.
Stress,
Worry and constant stimulation are like the wind.
They disturb the surface of our inner world.
But the calm beneath the surface never disappears.
It is always there waiting for the stillness.
And meditation helps the wind slowly settle.
Take a slow breath in through your nose and exhale through the mouth.
Allow your shoulders to drop down.
Let your jaw relax.
Relax your hands,
Legs and feet.
Allow your body to settle into the surface beneath you.
Bring your attention to your breath.
Notice the natural rhythm of breathing.
You do not need to change it.
Simply observe.
Now take a slightly deeper breath in and slowly release it.
Inhale once again.
And release.
Inhale.
And with the next exhale,
Imagine your nervous system begins to soften.
The body receives the message that it is safe to relax.
Inhale.
And with each exhale,
Allow the muscles of your body to loosen.
Allow your mind to slow down.
Allow the nervous system to settle.
Now imagine your breath like gentle waves moving across a calm lake.
Each inhale rises softly.
And each exhale settles the water again.
Gradually,
The surface becomes smoother.
The body becomes calmer.
The mind becomes quieter.
Now we will spend the next few minutes resting in silence.
Allow the breath to continue naturally.
Allow your nervous system to restore itself.
There is nothing you need to do.
Just rest.
And when you notice that you have thoughts,
That's completely okay.
Great observation.
Just bring back your attention to your breath.
And when the time is up,
I will ring the chime.
Take a slow breath in.
And exhale slowly.
One more deep breath in.
And exhale.
Now,
Notice the calm within your body.
Your nervous system remembers how to return to balance.
Sometimes it simply needs space and patience.
As you continue through your day,
Remember this.
Calm is not something you need to create.
It is something that you allow.
Take one final deep breath in.
And slowly exhale.
Do you hear your fingers and toes?
Move your head a little bit.
And when you are ready,
Gently open your eyes.
I will leave you with a beautiful phrase for today.
With every breath,
My body returns to balance.
Stay away to the quiet wisdom within you.
And until we meet again,
Trust that you are exactly where you need to be.
I will see you in the space.
Namaste.
