My name is Regina and I will guide you through this meditation today.
Wherever you are,
However you feel today,
You are always welcome here.
Find a quiet space where you won't be disturbed and make yourself comfortable.
Sit or lie down,
Important that your spine is straight so the energies can move freely.
Take a slow breath in and softly exhale and just softly close your eyes.
Take a slow breath in,
Take a long deep breath in through your nose and when you exhale,
Gently close your eyes.
Allow your body to relax,
Drop down your shoulders,
Soften your jaw.
Today we are going to meet a very tender and important part of you,
Your inner child.
The part of you that once experienced the world with curiosity,
Wonder and innocence.
Take a long slow deep breath in and just let it go.
Now imagine walking along a peaceful path,
A beautiful pavement in nature,
Where you feel safe and secure,
The birds are singing and flowers are blooming,
The air is calm and the sun is shining brightly.
As you walk along this beautiful path,
You begin to see a small child sitting on a nearby bench.
As you get closer,
You recognize this child.
This child is you,
The younger version of you.
Take a moment to simply observe.
Notice how this child looks but emotions are present,
There is no judgment here,
Only compassion.
Just simply observe.
Slowly,
Gently,
Walk even closer and sit beside this child,
Let them feel your presence.
You are not here to fix anything.
You are simply here to love.
Visualize placing a gentle hand on their shoulder and look into their eyes and say it to them.
I see you.
I am here for you always.
You are safe with me.
You can always count on me.
I love you deeply,
Exactly as you are.
Now open your arms for a warm embrace and gently hug this amazing being.
Just feel this amazing hug,
Two of you,
Together.
To deep love,
Unconditional love,
Just you and them.
You are safe here.
Now take a few moments to simply sit with your inner child.
Let them feel your presence,
Your acceptance,
Your love.
Now visualize a warm golden light is coming down through the sky and surround this child with this warm light.
This light carries compassion,
Healing,
Safety and slowly,
Gently,
This light begins to fill both of you,
Healing past wounds,
Softening old pain,
Restoring trust within your heart.
Take one more deep breath together with this child and let it out.
You can stand up and start coming back on the path.
Know that this connection will always remain within you.
Whenever you need it,
You can return here.
You are always safe here with the child.
Take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in and exhale.
Repeat it once again,
Long,
Slow,
Deep breath in and exhale.
Start to move your toes and fingers,
Move your head left and right and come back to your body now.
When you feel ready,
Gently open your eyes.
Healing your inner child is not about changing the past,
It is about bringing love and understanding to the parts of you that need it the most.
And every time you do this,
You become safer,
Kinder and home for yourself.
