Like the tides, emotions rise and recede. Through the imagery of entering the sea and flowing with its waves, this meditation invites you to release tension and loosen your hold on situations beyond your control. Allow the ocean to teach you trust, spaciousness, and the deep calm of surrender.

Welcome to Enchanted Whispers with Aveline Griff.

I'm Aveline and I'm going to take you through a practice to help regulate,

To find footing,

To find ease and flow when life seems unsure,

When the next steps on your path are unclear,

When the ground is shifting beneath and you're not sure which way to go next,

When perhaps nothing makes sense.

This is a meditation to help when the ground beneath your feet literally feels like it's shifting and moving out from under you.

We will begin standing.

Bring your feet hips-width apart.

A gentle bend in your knees so that you're not locking out in your joints.

Feel the ground beneath your feet.

Notice that you are held and supported.

Close your eyes.

Begin to imagine that you are standing on the beach.

Your feet are in the sand.

You notice the temperature of the sand beneath your feet.

Perhaps there's a cool breeze or warm breeze.

You notice what time of day it is,

What you're wearing.

If there's any clouds of the sky or if it's a clear day,

The position of the sun or the moon.

You begin to make your way towards the water,

One foot at a time.

As you approach the ocean,

The waves begin to lap against your toes,

Your feet,

Your ankles.

You feel the coolness of the earth,

The coolness of the water.

You look down and notice if the water is clear or murky,

If there's any shells on the ground,

If there's any fish that you can begin to see.

Then you take a deep breath in and you sigh it out and you begin to make your way into the ocean,

One step at a time,

Moving into her waters until you're about waist-deep.

Once you land here,

You start to feel the sand beneath your feet move.

As the tides come in,

The undertow pulls,

The sand begins to move away,

Your footing becomes unclear,

You no longer feel as grounded.

As the waves come in and the rockiness begins,

The unsteadiness shifts in your body.

You feel the pull,

The ebb and the flow of the waves and you know that in order to stay upright,

You have to adjust,

Perhaps turning to the side as the waves come in,

Taking a gentle bend in your legs,

Allowing yourself to go deeper into the water in order to not be pulled under.

Perhaps you let your feet lift off the ground as the waves come,

Allowing the ebb and the flow to pull and move you.

And as you're here learning to be pulled by the tides,

To move with the ebbs and flows of the ocean,

To adjust,

You bring to your mind an area in your life where you're ready to release your grip,

You're ready to soften,

To not cling so tightly and you look down in your hands and there is an object that represents whatever this is for you.

You gently open your hands and you let it go into the ocean and you watch it be carried away,

Not away forever,

Not destroyed,

But distance now created between you and whatever that situation is.

And then you gently begin to make your way back towards the surface,

Towards the shoreline,

A gentle slow exit.

It's not a rush,

You're not fighting to get back and you allow the waves to carry you back towards the shoreline.

You allow yourself to return with ease and with grace and with gratitude.

And once you return to the shore and your feet are planted firmly back in the sand,

You may choose to sit or lie down.

And in your physical space you may also choose to sit or lie down,

Mimicking what you saw yourself do in your visualization practice,

Taking a moment to bring your hands to your heart,

To hold yourself here in this moment,

To feel whatever emotion is coming up right now,

To sit with that and to know that just as the ocean ebbs and flows,

So do our emotions,

That when we're able to find ease,

To release our grip,

It all becomes just a little bit easier.

We're able to move through the challenges that life presents,

We're able to navigate the turmoil,

The confusing times,

The unclear path by releasing just a little bit,

By allowing for the flow of the universe,

The flow of emotion,

The flow of our days,

The vibration of our lives to radiate through in those moments.

Gently make your way back,

Opening your eyes,

Coming back into this moment,

Having gratitude for this experience and taking time to journal anything that came up,

Any aha moments,

Anything that you were able to release,

Any feelings,

Thoughts,

Or ideas.

Thank you so much for joining.

Blessed Be.

Blessed Be.

Blessed Be.
