Morning,
Good afternoon,
Good evening,
Wherever you are,
Wherever you are in your day,
In your life as i sit here in the morning where i am watching a squirrel out of my kitchen window leap from tree limb to tree limb fearlessly i begin to contemplate life and where we play it safe where i could leap more fearlessly from area to area or idea to idea what would it be like to take a leap into the unknown with complete trust that someone or something was there to catch you so as we meditate today i invite you to contemplate on your own life where you are now where you want to be and what's holding you back so often it's fear fear of the unknown it's all the what ifs and what if nots where are you robbing yourself of the experience or experiences that you could have in this life by playing it small and playing it safe you have such amazing gifts you have gifts and things to offer the world that no one else does close your eyes take a deep breath into your nose and sigh it out do that again inhale deeply and sigh it out begin to notice your body notice the areas where you're clenching or gripping or holding on a little too tight send your breath and attention into those spaces take a moment to scan your body starting from the crown of the head working your way down to your toes notice your eyes the tiny muscles around your eyes your eyes unclench your jaw allow your tongue to fall away from the roof of the mouth gently part the lips relax your shoulders down away from your ears breathe deeply into your heart space relax your hips relax your hands relax down through both legs and both arms the feet relax your ankles and all ten toes let go of the areas that you're holding lay down what you're carrying for these next few moments you can pick it back up when we're done but for now just lay it down allow yourself to become a vessel a vessel for opportunity for growth abundance a vessel for possibility begin to bring into your mind's eye a time or an event a moment in your life when you didn't take a chance when you ran when you closed off when you shut down shut down when you settled whatever it is just take a moment and see it clearly recall how you felt feel into your body into the places where you were feeling or holding maybe it was butterflies in your stomach not in the back of your throat it's tension behind the ears whatever it was just feel it now breathe into that and relax and let go now imagine that that same event that same moment you took the leap you didn't shy away you didn't close down you stepped fearlessly into the unknown you allowed space feel the areas in your body where they are relaxed where they're open where they're free feel the spaces of tension that inevitably arise from taking a leap from braving the darkness from venturing into the areas of the unknown let that go and now take a moment and think of an area an event a place in your life now somewhere that you want to go something that you want to do maybe it's something that you are doing but you're terrified you're scared you're uncertain of the outcome breathe deeply and see what happens when you trust the process you trust yourself you trust the universe you listen to that tiny voice inside of you you let go and take the leap you brave the darkness you give room for all the possibilities for all of the what-ifs and could-bes as you move on to your day your week your life my sincere hope for you is that you take some leaps you take some ventures and some journeys into the unknown you don't play it safe you don't play it small you listen to the tiny voice inside of you you move forward with a knowing a knowing that it may not be easy the path may not be clear but a knowing that you're moving in the right direction for you and that you're able to relax and breathe in between the moments of difficulty the fear of uncertainty you're able to do so with your head held high with no regrets begin to wiggle your fingers and your toes and gently peeling open your eyelids bringing yourself back to this moment taking a moment of gratitude for yourself for showing up for doing the work have a beautiful rest of your day namaste
