Nicole "Nikki" Ocean

Nicole ā€œNikkiā€ Ocean is a peer recovery guide, retired executive, smooth jazz electronic fusion music artist, and former certified real estate instructor and coach who brings creativity, compassion, and lived experience into her work. Her mission is to help reduce stigma around mental health challenges while offering gentle recovery practices for those ready to move from surviving to truly living. Drawing from her lived experience navigating eating disorder recovery, neurodivergence, complex trauma, disability, chronic illness and cancer survivorship, Nikki shares from a place of curiosity, compassion, and hope. She believes healing is not linear, and that safety, self-trust, and a meaningful life are built gently over time. As someone who is disabled and neurodivergent, Nikki integrates mindfulness, nervous system awareness, self-inquiry, and trauma-informed practices into her work. She advocates for EMDR therapy, HAES-aligned anti-diet principles, intentional living, and compassionate approaches to recovery. Her offerings include seated yoga with breathwork, gentle stretching, Shikantaza meditation (a Zen practice of ā€œjust sittingā€ in awareness without striving or forcing), and reflective practices that support presence, regulation, and internal safety. Through her work, Nikki creates space for self-compassion, creativity, joy, gentle humor, and inner child play that helps people reconnect with ease, expression, and the parts of themselves they may have lost touch with.

Thanks, Nikki, for helping me find my inner child again. I’ve been belly laughing while recreating fun movie dance scenes šŸ•ŗjust like I used to do as a kid. It’s reminded me that sometimes healing looks a lot like playing, laughing, and not taking life so seriously.

Hi Nikki šŸ¤ I’m so glad we found each other after you attended my live meditation. It feels like we have so much in common. I’ve also recovered from an eating disorder and navigate OCD and neurodivergence myself. I truly believe we share a similar mission — bringing compassion, honesty, and healing into spaces that need it. I loved learning more about you and I’m really looking forward to staying connected and seeing where this journey leads.
