Welcome,
This is day 1 of your 30 day journey.
And before anything else,
Just take a moment to recognize that you've chosen to be here.
You've chosen to pause,
To step out of the constant movement,
The thinking,
The doing,
And to give yourself this time.
And if it feels comfortable,
Allow that to matter just a little.
Now,
Gently begin by taking a slow,
Easy breath in,
And a soft,
Unforced breath out,
And again,
Inhaling at your own pace,
And exhaling,
Allowing the body to begin softening.
Not all at once,
Just a gradual unwinding.
And as you continue breathing,
See if you can notice the feeling of your body being supported,
The surface beneath you,
Holding your weight,
Nothing you need to hold up,
Nothing you need to carry right now.
And if it feels okay,
Allow yourself to rest into that support,
Even just slightly.
Now,
Gently bring your attention back to the breath,
Not forcing it,
Just noticing the air moving in,
And if the mind has already wandered,
That's completely natural.
Just noticing that,
And softly returning.
To the next inhale,
And the next exhale,
At your own pace.
And as you continue,
You might begin to notice the small areas of tension,
Perhaps in the shoulders,
Or the jaw.
And if it feels right,
Invite those areas to soften.
Not forcing release,
But allowing a little more space,
A little less holding,
And then gently returning again to the breath,
Letting the inhale arrive naturally,
And the exhale lengthen just slightly,
Allowing the nervous system to settle.
And if thoughts arise,
Pulling you into something else,
See if you can notice them,
Without needing to follow,
Without needing to push them away,
Just letting them pass,
And returning again,
To the breath,
To the body,
To this moment.
And,
As you stay here,
You may begin to feel the quiet slowing,
Not because you're forcing stillness,
But because you're no longer feeding the momentum,
And it feels supportive.
Allow the exhale to become a little longer,
A little slower,
Letting each breath out,
Signal to the body that it's okay to let go.
Just a little more,
And then again,
Gently noticing the inhale,
And the exhale,
Staying present.
And if,
At any point,
You feel distracted,
Or restless,
Or unsure if you're doing it right,
Just know,
There's no perfect way to do this.
You're simply practicing returning,
And that alone is enough.
So,
Once again,
Coming back to the breath,
To the feeling of being here,
The body resting,
Breathing happening,
This moment unfolding.
And as you remain here,
You may begin to notice that arriving in the present moment is not something you force,
It's something that naturally reveals itself.
And when you stop pulling away,
And begin gently returning,
Again and again,
And it feels comfortable,
Let yourself rest here for a few more breaths.
Nothing to change,
Nothing to improve.
Just this,
Breathing,
Noticing,
Allowing,
And now,
Gently beginning to expand your awareness,
And noticing the space around you again,
The room,
The sounds,
The feeling of your body where you are,
Without losing that sense of presence,
Just widening the field,
And when you're ready,
You can begin to bring small movements back,
Like wiggling the fingers,
The toes,
Or simply deepening the breath slightly,
And taking your time,
No rush at all,
To transition out of this space.
Just take a moment to notice how you feel,
Not needing it to be different,
Just acknowledging what's here,
And as you move into the rest of your day,
See if you can carry even a small part of this,
This awareness,
This calm,
This sense of space,
With you.
And remember,
You can return to this at any time,
With a single breath,
I'll be here with you,
For the next step,
Whenever you're ready.
Until then,
Take care and be gentle with yourself,
And remember,
Slow down,
Soften,
And return.
