Hello and welcome to this meditation where today I will invite you to rest under the glow of the full moon.
So let yourself completely settle down.
I would advise you to lay down for this meditation but of course you can stay seated if you would prefer.
Let your eyes close,
Take any movements that you need to to get extra comfortable.
And feel the weight of your body settling,
Surrendering down to the ground beneath you.
There's nowhere to be,
There's nothing else to do,
Only this moment.
Let yourself completely arise as you take a long and slow breath in and a soothing breath out.
Let everything soften and relax.
Take a deep calming breath in and a slow soothing breath out.
Feel your body melting down towards the ground more and more.
As you lay here today,
Imagine the full moon glowing above you.
It's so big,
So soft and luminous as it shines brightly over your body.
As you imagine the full moon above you,
You might want to take yourself somewhere out in nature,
In your mind's eye.
Maybe the beach,
A park,
Your garden,
Maybe somewhere special to you.
Wherever you are,
Fully take yourself there and see the bright full moon glowing above you.
The moon wraps around your body like a silver blanket and it completely relaxes your whole body.
It softens your scalp and your forehead.
It softens your brow and your eyes melt back into their sockets.
Your jaw unclenches and your tongue falls from the roof of your mouth.
You feel the glow of the moon flow down towards your neck,
Then melting your shoulders away.
You feel your arms relax as they lay heavy and effortless.
Your palms are open,
Your fingers feel free.
You feel the moonlight shining on your chest.
You feel the gentle rhythm of your breath as you bring your focus to your heart,
Noticing the gentle rise and fall.
Your hips soften and the moonlight helps to completely relax your legs.
Your thighs,
Your knees and your calves,
Your legs soften and lay heavy on the ground.
You feel the moonlight travel down towards your feet,
Into each toe one by one.
Your entire body feels so still and relaxed as though you could be sinking into warm sand.
Take a long and deep breath in and feel the fresh moonlight pouring into your body and as you exhale,
Release what no longer serves you.
The full moon is a really great time for releasing,
For letting go of anything that doesn't serve you,
To let go of anything that dims your light.
Take an inhale and feel the fresh light,
The fresh luminous moonlight pouring into your body and as you exhale,
You let go,
Letting go of anything that you no longer need physically or mentally.
Breathing in the fresh moonlight,
Let it fill every cell of your body and exhale as you release what doesn't serve you today.
Breathe in,
Let the moonlight wash over you,
Let it clear any self-doubts,
Let it smooth any tension and melt fatigue.
Let the moonlight cleanse your heart,
Your mind and your body.
Feel the glow of the moonlight resting at your heart,
Feel it shine brightly at your heart and hear that gratitude rise to the surface.
Take a moment to think about what you're grateful for today.
It could be lots of little things,
Maybe the morning sun or some kind words that were shared,
Maybe having this time for yourself to enjoy this meditation.
Perhaps you're grateful for a loved one,
For a fun experience,
Maybe a great day at work or an achievement.
Think of all the little things that you're grateful for,
Maybe hot water or a refreshing shower or a yummy meal or even chocolate.
Let the gratitude rise to your heart and feel it glowing softly in the chest,
All the things that you're grateful for today and let that feeling grow like a warm light,
That warm moonlight as it flows to your fingertips and all the way down to your toes.
To breathe in the glow of the moon at your heart and with every exhale,
Feel your body radiating with gratitude,
With love,
With positivity.
Take a long and deep breath in,
Let the light pour into the body and exhale as your body glows.
Take a moment to enjoy resting here in the stillness,
In gratitude and in the glow of the luminous full moon.
