Get cosy and comfortable so you can completely settle in for our meditation.
I recommend that you lay down today but if you would like to find a comfortable seat of course that's completely fine.
Let your legs be relaxed,
Feel your feet fall outwards,
Let your arms rest by your sides and with your palms facing up.
Gently close your eyes and take a long slow breath in through the nose and let it go with a sigh.
Breathe in and exhale,
Allow yourself to fully arrive and as you settle in let go of your day,
Your morning,
Your week.
Feel yourself fully come to the present.
One more long breath in and a slow releasing breath out.
And here bring your awareness to your feet,
Really feel your feet,
Take a breath into them and as you exhale feel your feet grow heavy and completely relaxed.
Notice how your legs feel today,
Breathe into the legs and as you exhale you soften the thighs,
The knees and the calves.
Allow your hips to sink deeply into the mat,
Feel your belly soften,
Your chest open and feel your shoulders melt down into the earth.
Notice your arms,
Take a long breath into the arms and exhale,
They relax all the way to the hands and the fingertips.
Let go of any tension in your neck,
Your jaw and soften the space around your eyes and across the forehead.
Let your whole body lay here,
Calm,
Grounded and open.
And as you lay here imagine you're lying in a wide,
Open,
Beautiful sunflower field.
It's a beautiful summer's day,
You feel the sun shining on you and notice what's around,
See the bees buzzing around the sunflowers.
You feel mesmerised by all the sunflowers around you.
Picture yourself as a sunflower,
Your body is the strong green stem,
Grounded and stable.
Your heart is the golden centre,
Calm,
Radiant and full of life.
And your spirit are the petals,
Bright and open,
Reaching towards the sun.
As you breathe in,
Feel sunlight gently pouring over your body,
Golden and warm.
Feel it as it flows down your body,
Filling you with light and warmth.
And as you exhale,
Feel your glow shining more and more.
Breathe in the sunlight,
Feel your golden centre radiating.
Breathe in the sun.
And as you exhale,
Feel your petals open,
Even brighter and wider.
Stay with this for a few more moments,
Feeling yourself as that big,
Bright,
Beautiful sunflower.
And let the warmth of the sunflower radiate through you,
Filling your heart and your body with the golden glow.
Please do stay here for as long as you like.
You may want to pause the recording,
But when you are ready,
Slowly begin to awaken.
Visioning yourself as that beautiful sunflower,
You feel the sunshine above you.
Take another deep breath of the glorious sunshine into your body and exhale,
Feel that golden glow at your heart,
Feel it expanding.
Breathe in the sunshine and breathe out,
Let your petals open wide,
Full of energy and positivity for your day or your week ahead.
Breathe in and exhale with a smile.
