Thank you for joining me for this meditation today.
My name's Corrine and I invite you to either sit or lay comfortably,
Finding a comfortable position that suits you.
Take a long breath in and a slow breath out.
Inhale deeply and exhale fully.
With every breath out feel your body softening into the moment more and more.
With every inhale feel a sense of calm entering your body and as you exhale let go of any heaviness,
Any tension,
Any worries or busy thoughts.
Let it all drift away and feel your body softening.
Let all the muscles in your face relax,
Your forehead,
Your eyes,
Your cheeks and your jaw.
Everything softens and continuing down through your neck,
Your shoulders,
Your arms and your hands.
Imagine each breath loosening and melting away tension.
Guide your awareness to your chest and your belly as you feel the gentle rise and fall with each breath allowing your body to sink even deeper.
Move your attention down to your hips,
Your thighs,
Your knees,
Abs and feet.
Let go.
Feel your whole body laying relaxed and supported.
Imagine yourself sitting by a quiet crystal clear lake really take yourself here to this lake.
The soft grass beneath you and you smell the scent of earth and wild flowers.
The water is perfectly still almost like a mirror reflecting the soft pastel sky above.
And as you sit by the edge of the lake you notice all the colours around you.
The gentle blues,
The soft pinks and the hints of golden light.
Everything feels so calm and you feel a cool refreshing breeze brush against your skin.
You hear the water gently lapping so soft,
Rhythmic and soothing.
And you feel so relaxed that you lie back on the grass and settle in.
Your breath slows,
Your body melts into stillness.
Imagine that your mind is the lake.
And each thought brings a little ripple to the surface.
With every breath the ripples slowly settle,
Becoming calmer and smoother.
You see the water becoming perfectly still,
So clear,
Reflecting your inner calm.
Any stress or worries is carried away by the water,
Leaving only peace behind.
If you do get distracted or if any thoughts arise,
Just observe it and let it float away.
Dissolving until the surface of your mind,
Your lake,
Is serene once again.
And feel this calm lake in every part of your body,
A soft,
Peaceful energy flowing through you.
Your arms and your legs feel light,
Your chest rises and falls so effortlessly.
Your whole body melts into this stillness.
Let yourself drift,
Let yourself rest completely at peace.
Do stay here for as long as it feels good for you.
And whenever you're ready,
Slowly begin to awaken,
Breathing in the calm of your lake,
Of your mind.
And as you exhale,
Let that calm flow all over your body,
From your head and down to your toes.
Thank you so much for joining me today.
I wish you a very peaceful day ahead.
Namaste.
