Do you find yourself craving a holiday?
A break from the norm?
The kind of break that only comes once or twice a year for most of us.
What if we could find a holiday every day within ourselves in our inner landscape?
With that as our aim,
I invite you to sit in a comfortable position.
You'll find a position that you can maintain without any discomfort or distractions.
And once comfortable,
Allow yourself to settle in.
Let your roots run deep.
And then just take a moment to draw your awareness to your natural breath.
Use those breaths to scan yourself,
To anchor yourself,
To become one with yourself.
Feel those natural breaths enter and leave you.
No effort required,
Just the soothe of the life and energy of prana entering you.
Let your breath flow into your mind.

This is your time to surrender yourself to the process of becoming one and entering your inner landscape,
Your sacred space,
Free from anyone.

Once in position and once you've started to ground yourself with your breath,
I invite you to draw your awareness to a beautiful beach.
Maybe it's your favourite beach.
Maybe it's a beach you've seen in a picture.
Or maybe a picture in your mind's eye of a beach that you long to be sat on.
Picture yourself sat.
Absorb the surroundings of your beach.
Make yourself comfortable in your position.
Nestle yourself into the sand or pebbles or the rocks that you may be sat upon.
Let your breath flow into your mind.
Let your breath flow into your mind.

Feel the warmth from the ground seep into your skin.
Feel the support of the earth around you,
Whatever your seat,
Whatever you're sat upon.
Feel it conducting into you,
Soothing you,
Energising you,
Balancing you.
Notice the warmth on your face and the rest of your body.
Let your breath flow into the sand or pebbles or the rocks that you may be sat upon.
Let your breath flow into your mind.

Really make it popular across the world,
To give you that glow.
But not too hot that it becomes uncomfortable.
As you sit there,
Absorbing the warmth and the glorious sunshine,
What Let your imagination paint the canvas in your mind's eye of your beach setting.
Are there any of the rocks,
Any other people?
Is there a tide line?
If there is,
What does it consist of?
What kind of driftwood or seaweed can you see?
Allow your mind's eye to embellish as much as it wishes this morning.
Notice a gentle sea breeze against your skin that gently ruffles your hair and the clothes you may be wearing.
It's a perfect balance of warmth,
Cooling and life.
You use that gentle breeze to help Anki in the present even further.
Maybe you can hear the seagulls gently crying,
A gentle roll of the waves.
Savour the sweet smell of the salty sea air.
Drink that cleansing sea air into your lungs.
I invite you to take a deep inhale,
Drink it into the very depths of your lungs,
Fully inflating them and then with a gentle sigh release any tension or anything that doesn't serve you today.
Indulge yourself if you feel the need to do it again a couple more times and feel free.
Allow yourself to taste the saltiness in the air.
Notice how all your senses are tingling even though your eyes may be closed now.
You have the gentle breeze of the sea,
The hypnotic lapping of the waves as they gently roll in,
The warmth on your skin.
Notice now how your natural breaths have started to sink with a gentle movement of the ocean,
Inhaling as the gentle waves lap up the beach,
Exhaling as the waves gently withdraw,
Sunlight sparkling off the water.
Maybe you can make out some seaweed.
Moving in the crystal clear waters a little further out from the shoreline.
Maybe some driftwood fighting its way up the beach,
Making slow progress,
Almost becoming beached and then being drawn back out again like a cat playing with a mouse.
The ocean plays with driftwood,
Teasing it,
Letting it feel as though it's about to escape,
And then drawing it back in with the powerful ease that only the ocean holds.
As you focus on these lovely distractions.
Your eyes are occasionally caught by the silvery flash of small fish darting.
At first,
I'm not sure if it's just the sun sparkling off the water's surface.
And then with a little more scrutiny,
Your eyes confirm that there is a consistent movement of fish,
A small shoal of silver fish moving in a formation and pattern that only fish know how.
Notice how your breath continues to soothe you as you marvel in Mother Nature and these beautiful intoxicating scenes and sensations on your beach.
Let those gentle exhales cleanse you,
Like the ocean gently cleans the beach.
Surrender yourself to the hypnotic push and pull of those gentle waves,
The hypnotic push and pull of your natural breath,
Effortless yet so powerful.
Surrender your worries to the sea.
Let yourself become completely absorbed.
Try to let go of your past,
And the past will let go of you.
Focus on those soothing breaths as they enter and leave you.
Consider to them,
To the will of your natural breath,
The first step in surrendering to what is.
Let go of what was,
And have faith in what will be.
Breathe.
Give yourself to your breath,
To the ocean.
Surrendering isn't giving up,
It's about letting go.
Give yourself to the ocean,
To the intoxicating,
Irresistible ocean's will.
Let yourself rise those cleansing,
Calming waves of the ocean.
Surrender your burdens to the sea,
And find your peace today.
Breathe.
Be.
Let yourself be free.
Like a feather in the air,
Like a leaf in the sea,
Surrender to thee.
Surrender to thee.
We shall leave you now for a little while.
Hear my voice again.
Allow yourself to sit for a moment longer with your eyes closed,
Sat on your beautiful beach.

I invite you to draw your awareness back to the present,
And just sit for a moment longer on your beautiful beach.
No effort required.
Just let the feeling of stillness,
Peace,
Balance and harmony wash over you like those gentle waves.
Feel how energised and cleansed you feel.
I invite you to bring your palms together at your front.
Rub them vigorously together until you create some heat.
And then when ready,
Place onto the eyes.
Keep the eyes closed.
And as you let the heat from the palms of your hands transfer into those eyes,
Soothing them,
Just reflect on how beautiful and calming it is to know you can access your beach at any stage in your day.
Always there waiting calmly,
Soothingly to afford you the sensations you feel right now.
Keep in the hands where they are,
Open the eyes behind the palms and let them adjust to the darkness.
And then when you're ready,
Slowly move the palms away,
Allowing the light to creep in so you can release the arms down.
Don't be in a hurry to focus your eyes.
Just sit for a moment longer.
Sit and enjoy the sensations you're feeling within.
This is your time.
Savour it.
The light within me sees and salutes the light within you.
