Sometimes, when we want to fall asleep but simply can’t, it’s because our minds are tired, but our bodies are still wired. After a busy day of rushing, working, caring for others, and moving from one task to the next, the body can remain charged with stress hormones and adrenaline. Even when we're ready for rest, that lingering energy can make it difficult to fully relax and drift off to sleep. In this 38-minute gentle somatic stretch practice, you'll be guided through soothing movements designed to help release pent-up energy, invite relaxation, and prepare both body and mind for a restful night's sleep. You may like a pillow or a yoga brick and a strap or long sock for this practice. Please practice loving kindness and do not go beyond your body's comfort zone in this practice. Please consult with a doctor first if you are in doubt.
