The Divine Mother

A guided meditation initially focussing on the breath to lead the mind to stillness and anchor you in the present moment. Leading your awareness to Shakti, the female energy within us all and the life force within the earth, The Mother that nourishes us physically and emotionally with compassion and unconditional love. Close your eyes.

Start to observe the breath.

Take the awareness to the ribcage,

To the lungs.

Feel the breath entering into the lungs as you breathe in.

Reaching through from here,

The oxygen,

Into the bloodstream.

And then when you breathe out from the bloodstream,

The waste products,

Metabolism,

Reaching through to the lungs,

Turning to carbon dioxide,

Escaping back into the atmosphere.

Breathe in.

The ribcage expands,

Breath enters,

Life force fills you.

Breathe out.

The breath leaves,

Tiredness leaves.

The body feels light,

Relieved.

Breathe in,

More energy enters.

Breathe out,

More tiredness leaves.

Breathe in,

The ribcage expands.

And as it does,

Positive energy,

Oxygen enters into the body.

Breathe out,

Tiredness,

Carbon dioxide,

Leaves the body.

Keep observing these changes.

Each time you breathe in,

Breathe out.

Focus on the movements within the ribcage,

Movements within the lungs.

Breathe in,

The ribcage expands.

Breathe out,

The ribcage contracts.

Continue to observe the breath.

The ribcage expands,

Contracts,

And stillness starts to enter the mind as you observe the breathing.

The thoughts start to disappear as the focus on the breath brings you more stillness than the mind can ever bring you.

You allow the mind and its thoughts to drift away.

When you focus on stillness,

Focus on the breath,

The ribcage expands,

Contracts.

Stillness grows within.

Continue focusing on your breathing.

Allowing the mind to come to complete stillness as you realise the sense of peace that comes from simply observing,

The breathing in,

The ribcage expanding,

Oxygen entering,

Breathing out,

The ribcage contracting,

Tiredness leaving.

Continue focusing your awareness on the breath,

Realising more and more how the thoughts are important,

How they relate to a future that's never going to happen,

That's not been created,

How they relate to a past that's already gone,

How the breath anchors you in the present moment in time,

The only thing that ever exists.

Breathe in the ribcage expands,

Breathe out the ribcage contract,

Bringing you here into this present moment in time.

The breath anchors you in the knowledge that there is no future,

No past,

Just a here and the now.

And as you observe this,

Deep within your heart,

You hear the sound,

The voice of a female energy that's filled with love,

Compassion,

A nurturing voice that's full of unconditional love,

Full of an unconditional love for you.

And this voice speaks to you,

Tells you that it's a Divine Mother,

The principle of Shakti,

Female energy that exists within all of us.

She tells you that she's nourished you,

Fed you,

Filled you with love for your whole life.

She tells you that you can find her in the female principle of the Great Mother Earth,

That she's appeared and was known in the ancient world,

In every part of the world.

She was understood to be the life force within the Earth that nourished us,

Our ancestors and the body that you have now,

The bodies that we all have now.

She exists as a living,

Breathing organism,

Deep within the Earth,

She nourishes the soil,

She nourishes the plants,

The crops that become the food that we eat.

She tells you that she nourishes you with her food,

Her gifts,

Her fruits,

Has done forever.

When you appeared on this Earth and took a physical form,

She fed you,

Nourished you,

She has done so for your entire life,

She does so right now and she always will do.

She's your Divine Mother,

The Great Mother Earth.

She lives inside you and it's not just nutrients that she fills you with when you eat,

She fills you with her love and her nourishment and there deep inside you exists the Divine Mother.

She fills you not just with nourishment for your body but for your soul,

For your heart.

All the compassion you've ever known comes from her,

She's there within your heart,

Always filling you with nourishment,

With compassion,

With love.

You search for these qualities throughout the world,

Finding them only in temporary places,

They appear but then disappear.

But she tells you you don't need to search anymore,

You can look inside your heart and see and feel that your Divine Mother is there,

That she is there,

Nourishing you,

Loving you forever,

Filled with light.

You can stop your search in the outside world and start your journey within,

Touching,

Connecting to your Divine Mother.

She's always fed you,

Nourished you,

Gives you love,

Unlimited love,

Compassion,

Unlimited compassion and joy in the form of unlimited joy.

Whenever you need it,

You only ever need to turn your heart inwards,

Your mind inwards,

Your awareness inwards and your senses inwards to see that she's there,

Filling you with love.

And as you start to recognise her qualities,

Her unconditional love,

Acceptance,

You start to turn your senses inwards,

You start to feel her deep inside you,

You start to allow the love that she contains to grow within you,

To start becoming part of you,

To grow from within your heart,

To all around,

To reach every cell,

Every molecule within you.

She flows through your blood vessels and as she flows through,

Her nutrients and nourishment,

Reaching every cell,

Every organ within you,

She carries with her,

Continues to carry with her,

Love,

The unlimited love that's within her heart,

The unlimited compassion that recognises every pain you've ever known,

Filling it with compassion and unlimited joy because in her heart,

There only exists the desire for her child,

For you,

For all of her children to be filled with joy.

This joy expands from your heart,

Compassion expands from your heart,

An unconditional love grows within,

You feel her,

Her energy,

Her loving,

Her nourishment,

Her caring,

Her protection,

All the qualities you know inherently that the Divine Mother contains,

She fills you with this love,

Your heart expands,

Grows,

Starts to melt,

Soften,

You start to remember what the love of the Divine Mother feels like,

What her compassion feels like,

What her nurturing,

Her nourishment feels like and this fills you completely,

Every chamber of your heart starts to melt,

As you connect to her more and more,

As you feel her deep within,

As you feel all the qualities that make up the Divine Mother that's loved you for eternity and will continue to love you for eternity,

You see her as light deep within your heart,

A light that melts,

Every tension within that softens,

Breaks down any blockages within your heart and fills them with her love,

A strong female positive energy of love,

Reaching through every chamber of your heart,

Softening every chamber of your heart,

Your heart softens more and more,

More and more unconditional love and the Great Mother fills you here,

Every chamber of the heart starts to melt,

Become filled with her beautiful feminine energy,

The energy of pure love,

Pure compassion,

Pure joy and you start to feel the peace that she brings you,

You start to allow the peace that she brings you to reach through to every chamber of your heart,

Every cell within your body,

She flows through every blood vessel in this body,

Through every nerve,

Every channel and as your heart awakens,

Your body becomes filled with light,

The light of the Divine Mother,

You hear her voice again and again and you hear nothing but compassion,

Nurturing,

True love,

Unconditional love within her voice,

She continues to call you my child and you feel the love of a mother,

A mother you've always known,

A mother who's always fed you,

Nourished you,

Protected you,

Loved you,

Shown you compassion,

Peace,

Joy,

She's there deep inside you,

You can hear her voice of compassion,

Her voice of love,

You can feel her,

You can feel her feminine energy,

You connect to her and you know you never need to search in the outside world now for love or compassion,

She's there deep inside you,

There's no looking,

No searching that needs to be done,

The love of the Divine Mother is always inside you,

Glowing like a beautiful light,

Illuminating every chamber of your heart,

Shining within every part of your body,

This is the love you've always searched for,

The unconditional love of the Divine Mother who exists within you,

Your mother who lives within the soil,

Within the earth,

Who's always protected you,

Always loved you,

You don't need to search far for her,

She feeds you,

She's inside you,

All the nourishment you've ever been given both internally from your heart and externally from her gifts that she's nourished for you,

Her fruits,

Her foods that grow within her soil,

They've always been there to fill you and you remember you don't need to search,

Just close your eyes,

Look for the light within your heart,

Within your cells,

She's there always nourishing you,

Always filling you,

Always feeding you,

Always loving you,

Always shining light within you,

You don't need to look or search anymore,

Her light comes flooding inside you,

She's there,

Your Divine Mother connecting to you always,

You see your heart full of light now and you remember your eternal connection to her,

You thank her for always loving you,

Always protecting you and always nourishing you,

Nothing but light shines deep inside you,

Nothing but light glows within you and you connect internally to the light of the Divine Mother,

She's inside you and your heart knows now it doesn't need to search or look anymore,

She's there deep within you,

Beautiful love of compassion,

Joy,

Unlimited happiness,

Unlimited peace,

Unlimited light,

She shines deep inside you,

This is what you've always searched for and here she is manifesting within you,

Within every being on this planet,

She's the Divine Mother of all of us,

She lives within our hearts,

You feel her,

Connect to her,

As you feel her here,

Remember her,

You keep her here within your heart,

Connecting to her every day,

Every moment,

You rub both palms together,

Generating warmth in your palms,

You take the bottoms of the palms over the eyes,

Bringing warmth back into the eyes and then you slowly move your hands away,

Slowly open the eyes,

Keeping her love,

Her nourishment,

Her light within you,

Knowing she's always here,

There's no searching left to be done,

She's deep inside you,

Shining her light and her love.
