Welcome to this yoga nidra for your crown chakra. The crown chakra, located at the crown or top of your head is your connection to a higher power, or your connection with all that there is. Indications of a blocked crown chakra may include feeling a lack of faith in something greater than yourself, or not trusting or being able to surrender to a higher power. In this practice you'll be gently guided through breath awareness, a body scan, and a guided meditation to help you connect with the abundant Universal flow where there is no beginning and no end. Namaste.

Welcome to this yoga nidra for your crown chakra.

My name is Amanda,

And I'm delighted to be practicing with you today.

If you haven't already,

You might give a listen to my other yoga nidra recordings for the first six chakras before practicing for this seventh crown chakra.

The crown chakra,

Located at the top of your head,

Is your connection to a higher power,

Or your connection to all that there is.

Indications of a blocked crown chakra may include feeling a lack of faith in something greater than yourself,

Or not trusting or not being able to surrender to a higher power.

Please give yourself as much time as you require to get settled in for this practice.

Ensure that you are as comfortable as you can be,

Lying on your back.

Let your feet rest hip distance apart.

Ensure that your spine is in alignment,

That your head and neck are resting comfortably on a pillow or on the ground beneath you.

Your shoulders are relaxed,

And your arms resting comfortably at your sides,

Palms facing up.

Feel free to bring in props to enhance your comfort,

Such as a bolster or a pillow under your knees for added support,

A blanket for warmth and comfort,

An eye pillow or covering to block out unwanted light.

Headphones for optimal listening,

And anything else that you would find supportive at this time.

If you have an amethyst,

Clear quartz,

Or moonstone crystal,

You might also choose to bring it in as well.

These are all common crystals associated with the crown chakra.

Let yourself get settled in,

And we'll begin the practice with closing down the eyes,

Finding comfort and safety in the darkness behind closed eyes.

Allow your breath to help unwind your body by deepening your inhale and elongating your exhale.

Notice tension beginning to ease in your body with each exhale.

All the little muscles stuck in tightness and rigidity are now starting to soften and relax.

Every part of you easing into stillness and peace.

Calm and relaxation.

Calm and relaxation.

You might also notice the edges of your body softening and releasing.

As you continue to breathe deeply,

Begin to silently repeat the seed sound or mantra for your crown chakra.

Ah.

Ah.

Ah.

Continue on your own for the next few moments.

You can release the mantra now,

And return your focus onto your breath.

On your next inhale,

Begin to count down from 18.

Inhaling.

18.

Exhaling.

18.

Inhaling.

17.

Exhaling.

17.

Inhaling.

16.

Exhaling.

16.

Inhaling.

17.

Continue counting down at your own pace.

And if you get lost in the counting,

Simply return to 18 once again.

Release the count and bring your awareness to the tip of your right big toe.

The tip of your second toe.

Third.

Fourth.

And little toe.

The sole and top of your right foot.

Heel.

Ankle.

Front and back of the lower leg.

Knee.

Front and back of the thigh.

All of your right hip.

Move your awareness now to the tip of your left big toe.

Tip of the second toe.

Third.

Fourth.

And little toe.

Sole and top of your left foot.

Heel.

Ankle.

Front and back of the lower leg.

Knee.

Front and back of the thigh.

All of your left hip.

And little toe.

Both legs together.

Right and left.

Pubic bone.

Navel.

Right side of the waist.

Right side of the chest.

Right armpit.

Shoulder.

Upper arm.

Elbow.

Lower arm.

Wrist.

Palm and back of your right hand.

Tip of the right hand thumb.

Tip of the first finger.

Second finger.

Third.

Little finger.

And little toe.

Little finger.

All of your awareness on the right side of your torso.

And your right arm.

Moving your awareness now to the left side of the waist.

Left side of the waist.

Left side of the chest.

Left armpit.

Shoulder.

Upper arm.

Elbow.

Lower arm.

Wrist.

Palm and back of the left hand.

Tip of your left hand thumb.

Tip of the first finger.

Second finger.

Third.

Little finger.

All of your left torso.

And left arm.

Your awareness now on your heart center.

Heart center.

Heart center.

Right glute.

Left glute.

Slowly moving your awareness up the length of your back.

Moving all the way up your spine.

Vertebrae by vertebrae.

Right shoulder blade.

Left shoulder blade.

Moving your awareness to the throat center.

Chin.

Jaw.

Lower lip.

Upper lip.

Inside the right cheek.

Inside the left cheek.

Tip of the tongue.

Root of the tongue.

Tip of the nose.

Bridge of the nose.

Cheekbones right and left.

Right ear.

Right temple.

Left temple.

Right eyebrow.

Left ear.

Left temple.

Left eyebrow.

The space in between the eyebrows.

All of your head and neck.

Now letting your awareness rest on your entire body.

From the very tips of your toes.

All the way up to the crown of your head.

Now shift all your awareness to the crown of your head.

All of your awareness now rests on the crown of your head.

Your crown chakra.

Visualize this space at the crown of your head.

Opening.

Expanding wider and wider.

And now might you visualize a beautiful violet hue.

Streaming down from the universe.

Into this opening at the crown of your head.

This violet hue of energy.

Has no beginning.

And no end.

It begins to fill every part of you.

Flowing through the crown of your head.

To the right hemisphere of your brain.

Then the left hemisphere of your brain.

Down your forehead.

Filling the back of your head.

Moving down through your entire face and neck.

Shoulders.

All of your back and chest.

This incredible violet energy.

Moves down through your arms.

Fills your wrists.

Your hands.

And all ten fingers.

It fills your abdomen.

Your hips and pelvic region.

Your thighs.

Knees.

Your arms.

Your lower legs.

The soles and tops of both feet.

And all ten toes.

All of your being is pulsing.

With this violet energy.

Energy that is vibrant.

Healing.

Creative.

Full of life.

And as it moves throughout you.

You can feel your connection to source universal energy.

New or one with all that there is.

This violet energy slips into each one of your cells.

The trillions of cells that are alive within you.

Every part of your being is in harmony with source universal energy.

Connected to all there is.

You feel clear.

You are free.

You are free.

You feel clear.

Vibrant.

Whole.

Creative.

You know that you are one with the abundant universe.

Where there is no beginning and no end.

Where there is only abundant flow.

A harmonious movement forward.

With no beginning.

And no end.

Just peaceful.

Easeful.

Flow.

You are always connected to this energy.

Might you silently repeat to yourself.

I am grounded.

And connected.

To the divine higher power.

That allows for the abundant flow of life.

I am grounded.

And now bring back the mantra.

For your crown chakra again.

Silently repeating.

Ah.

Ah.

Continue on your own for the next few moments.

You can release the mantra now.

And bring your awareness back to your breath.

On your next inhale.

Could you allow two sips of breath.

In through your nose.

And then exhale.

Two sips of breath in through your nose.

And then exhale through an open mouth.

Two sips in through your nose.

And then let it go through an open relaxed mouth.

Two sips in.

Let it go.

And one more.

It is now time to ever so gently.

Begin to awaken your senses.

You might begin by expanding your sense of hearing.

To other sounds in the room around you.

Other than the sound of my voice.

You might begin to feel the weight of your body.

Resting on the surface beneath you.

You might begin to feel the weight of your body.

Resting on the surface beneath you.

Perhaps you notice fragrances lingering in the environment you are in.

You might like to allow a deep breath in.

And then sigh it out.

And then sigh it out.

It might feel like a good time to slowly awaken your fingers and toes with gentle movement.

Perhaps you'll slowly roll onto one side.

And let yourself linger for a little while longer.

As you continue to ever so gently.

Bring all of your awareness back to this moment.

Upon fully returning to your awakened state.

You might want to give a few minutes to journal about your experience from this practice.

And if not,

That's completely fine as well.

Whatever feels right for you.
