Namaste.
This is Amanda and welcome to this yoga nidra for chronic fatigue.
I know that you are so tired and I also know that you are tired of feeling tired.
As one who has lived with chronic fatigue,
I know how debilitating and truly exhausting it is.
I also know that it can be overcome.
Your body can heal and you can live with full energy again.
Yoga nidra is a practice that can help in your recovery as it allows the mind and body to release into a deep,
Deep state of rest and repair.
It is the only practice of its kind and its effects are cumulative,
Which means the more you practice,
The more your body heals.
When I was in the depth of my chronic health conditions,
Which included chronic fatigue,
I would practice yoga nidra up to five times a day.
Healing doesn't happen overnight as we'd all love for it to.
However,
It does happen.
Please know that optimal health and vitality are possible for you,
Though it requires time,
Patience,
And a belief that your body can heal.
This is your healing time.
Use the next few moments to become cozied in to your yoga nidra nest.
Bring in pillows or bolsters for support under your knees,
Head and neck.
Perhaps an eye pillow or covering to remove unwanted light.
A blanket for warmth that you might even tuck yourself into for additional coziness.
As you're preparing yourself,
Be sure to bring in anything that will offer you ultimate comfort.
Keep in mind that you're creating the foundation for your practice.
And as you do,
You're sending a signal to your brain that it is now time for deep rest.
When you're ready,
Close down your eyes and do a quick check-in.
Does anything require adjusting at this time?
You might ask yourself,
What can I do to feel even 1% more comfortable?
With eyes closed,
Allow a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Your yoga nidra practice begins now.
On your next inhale,
Bring in two sips of air through your nose.
And allow one long exhale out through your mouth.
Like so.
Two sips of air in through your nose and a long exhale out through your mouth.
Another breath just like that.
And you may return now to your natural breathing.
Allow your body to breathe itself with gentle ease.
Not forcing an inhale or an exhale.
Just letting air flow in at its own pace and depth.
And then release as it does.
Gentle.
Might you also begin to systematically let go of any tension in each body part.
Beginning with the tips of your toes.
Moving up,
Allowing each leg to relax.
Your hips and glutes unwind.
Bring intentional relaxation into your abdomen and chest.
Through to your shoulders and arms.
Moving down and down.
To each finger and thumb.
Allow your neck to release.
As well as your jaw,
Lips,
All the little muscles in and around your eyes.
Can you sense a smoothness in your forehead?
And move all the way up to your scalp,
Hair follicles,
The crown of your head.
And your entire body beginning to feel so relaxed and heavy.
As it gets ready to sink into deep rest and repair.
Allow your awareness now to fall onto your heart center.
For it is now time to bring in your sankalpa.
Or your heart's deepest desire.
What is your heart whispering to you right now?
If you don't have a sankalpa that you're working with.
Or if you aren't hearing the whisper from your heart at this time.
You might choose to use one of the following.
I am healing.
Or I am here now.
Or perhaps I am willing to be still and rest deeply.
Which one of the following sankalpas speaks to you at this time?
I am healing.
I am here now.
I am willing to be still and rest deeply.
Silently repeat this deep intention to yourself three times.
Each followed by a deep breath.
Invite your attention now to follow my voice.
As you will be gently guided on a rotation of consciousness.
Your awareness moving seamlessly from one body part to the next.
Beginning with the third eye or the space in the middle of your forehead.
Both eyebrows right and left.
Both temples.
Bridge of the nose.
Over to the tops of both ears.
Along all the folds of each ear.
Moving down to the bottoms of each earlobe.
And then moving across both sides of the jaw.
All the way to the tip of the chin.
The space in between each finger.
Onto the left shoulder blade.
First finger.
The space in between each finger.
The entire pubic bowl.
Second toe.
The space in between each toe.
Pubic bone.
Might you note your breath gently moving your body.
No need to change your breathing.
Simply allow your body to breathe at its own natural rhythm and pace.
Feel both ribcages expand and contract.
Your abdomen slightly rising and falling with each breath.
Feel the weight of your body on the surface beneath you.
Your body so still.
So peaceful.
In a state of deep rest.
Feel the bliss that only comes from deep rest.
And allow this blissful feeling to spread throughout you.
Towards all the edges of your body.
Filling every cell within.
Let yourself linger here for a little while.
Right now,
Rooting your nervous system.
Into the parasympathetic state.
The state of rest and repair.
The only state where your body can heal.
The only state where your body has nothing else to do.
Except what it innately knows to do.
So come back into balance or homeostasis.
While enjoying this deep state of rest.
You might silently ask your body to share its infinite wisdom with you.
For every physical symptom that one experiences comes from the body wanting to express its needs.
Though these symptoms,
Like chronic fatigue,
Can sometimes feel like a punishment.
Please know that they are not a punishment,
My love.
They are the only way your body knows how to speak to you.
And so you might inquire within with gentle kindness.
And ask your chronic fatigue,
What would you have me know?
What is your purpose for being here in my body?
If you don't hear the whisper right now,
It's all good.
You can come back to this at another time and ask once again.
What would you have me know?
What is your purpose for being here in my body?
I promise you,
Your body wants to heal.
Your body wants you to listen to it and to respond to its needs accordingly.
What would you have me know?
What is your purpose for being here in my body?
Now visualize the following images in your mind's eye.
Perhaps allowing each one to serve as inspiration that healing is possible for you.
Imagine a single flower emerging from the crack in a sidewalk.
A single flower emerging from the crack in a sidewalk.
Isn't it incredible that a flower can root and grow even when surrounded by pavement?
Imagine a rosebud opening into full bloom.
What starts out tight and closed eventually loosens and opens into its full and glorious self.
Imagine a strong sturdy oak tree rooted deep into the earth.
A strong and sturdy oak tree that is rooted deep into the earth.
No matter how fierce the winds,
The tree remains strong.
Connected to the great mother earth.
You may now let go of the images,
However let the energy of them remain with you as you bring back your sankalpa.
Silently repeating this deep desire from your heart.
You may have used one of the following.
I am healing.
I am here now.
I am willing to be still and rest deeply.
Continue to repeat this deep desire.
Release your sankalpa and begin to deepen your breath.
Letting each breath become a little deeper than the one before it.
Each deep breath ever so gently helping to wake the body.
If you prefer to linger in stillness for a little while longer,
Now is a good time to remove your headphones or to press pause on this recording.
You might begin to bring in the sounds of your environment other than my voice.
What can you hear?
Feel your body on the surface beneath you.
How does it feel?
You might gently rub the tips of your fingers with the tips of your thumbs.
And feel the sensation of touch.
Perhaps gently wiggle your toes and ankles.
Your fingers and your wrists.
If you're laying on your back,
You might let your body roll over to one side.
When you feel ready,
Ever so gently and slowly open your eyes.
And gently and slowly let the sights that surround you come into focus.
What do you see?
Before you return to your day,
You might give yourself a few minutes to journal any insights that may have come up from this practice.
As you continue to return to a waking state,
I'd like to use this time to express my gratitude for you listening and practicing with me.
As always,
It's been such an honor to lead you through your yoga nidra practice.
If you have a moment,
Please leave a comment letting me know where you're practicing from and how this yoga nidra has benefited you.
I love,
Love,
Love hearing from you.
I read and reply to every single comment I receive.
And please know that your comments help me to know which practices are most beneficial so that I can record more of the same to support you and your healing.
As you move through your day,
Know that even if you don't feel it,
Healing has occurred.
Namaste.
