Welcome to the Ain't Work Grand Meditation.
Let's begin by sitting up nice and straight,
Head level,
With a deep inhale filling the stomach,
Chest,
And clavicle,
And a nice thorough exhale,
Releasing all the momentary tensions that we're feeling.
As we start to relax into our pose and our breath,
Allowing ourselves to not block out but accept the seeming distractions around us,
Whether they be physical distractions of sight,
Of noise,
Of vibration,
Or those mental distractions of lists,
Resentments,
Anxiety.
And as we continue to breathe nice and deep,
Let's start to contemplate how fortunate we are to have purposeful work today.
How today we have the ability to make the difference in a customer's life,
A client's life,
And in all of our colleagues' lives by bringing an attitude of service and gratitude to our workplace,
To our employment,
To our job.
And as we continue to breathe deeply,
Allowing this attitude of gratitude to emerge from our heart and this purposeful intuitive thought of how may I be of service to you today to permeate our mind.
Let us relish in all that activity that's going on around us,
Whether it be others talking on the phone,
Maybe someone typing on their computer,
Or somebody rattling papers and making copies.
How fortunate we are to be in the stream of life,
In the stream of commerce,
Part of that infinite,
Universal force that connects all of us towards that one ultimate goal of loving kindness and enlightenment.
And as we conclude this pause in our day with another big inhale and thorough exhale,
Let's all mentally vibrate and ask our colleagues,
Our clients,
And our customers to be well.
