Welcome to the meditation to relieve the annoyances we feel created by other people.
Let's begin by sitting up straight,
Straight spine,
Level head,
Breathing in deeply from belly to clavicle,
And exhale completely,
Allowing yourself to start to settle into this time and place.
And as we settle into our breathing,
Picture someone in your mind who might be annoying to you,
A family member,
A friend,
Maybe a colleague at work.
And hold the image of that person in your mind.
And as you have that picture solidified in your mind,
Start to recite the following.
I understand we each have our own path.
I understand we each have our own burdens.
My compassion extends to your path.
My kindness extends to your burdens.
My heart embraces you as you are.
I smile upon your well-being.
And with that smile towards that image that you're holding in your mind,
Breathe deep a sense of compassion and understanding towards that person.
And as you breathe in for the next few breaths,
Continue to feel that compassion and understanding.
Let's try that again.
Same image.
Breathe in nice and deep.
Hold the image.

My kindness extends to your burdens.
My heart embraces you as you are.

And feel that love and tolerance welling up inside your heart and rising up into that image that you're holding in your mind and allowing that image,
That person that you're imagining,
To bask in your love and understanding.

And a nice complete exhale.
