Welcome to Speed Bump for the Racing Mind.

A meditation where we're going to use the vibration of the gong to help us slow down our heart,

Our mind,

And our spirit during these active days.

So let's begin by sitting up nice and straight,

Level head,

Relaxed jaw,

Taking a nice deep breath in,

And a nice full exhale,

Pulling the belly button to the spine.

Let's continue to breathe nice and deeply during the meditation.

As you breathe,

Open up your mind,

And allow all the thoughts that the brain is generating,

The mind is pulling up from the conscious and the subconscious to spill out on the floor right in front of you.

And let each thought manifest itself into a little toy car,

Maybe a little toy matchbox type car,

Speeding around the room,

Falling out of your mind into the floor,

Speeding away.

Let them go,

Let them run,

Breathing deeply.

Every thought that comes up,

Allow it to turn into a toy car and drive away,

Letting the car entering the rat race so you don't have to.

Don't let yourself off the hook,

Keep letting thoughts come up,

Keep letting them turn into little cars,

Letting them drive off,

Rushing around the wing now,

Racing each other.

And as you complete your next breath,

Imagine your mind closing back up,

A little emptier,

A little less cluttered,

Sense the openness in your mind as you continue to breathe deeply,

That your mind is so uncluttered now.

When you look into your mind you just see a nice big blue sky,

Maybe some peaceful clouds floating by.

Continue to breathe deeply,

Exhale completely.

And in your mind's eye,

Whatever room you're in,

Imagine yourself opening the door to the room,

Opening the door from the apartment or the home that you're in,

And standing there while thousands of little cars drive over your toes and out the door,

Out the room,

Out of the building,

And away from you.

Never to bother you again,

Never to disturb your peace again,

Never to disrupt your serenity again.

With one more final deep inhale and exhale,

Be well.

Terrific way to start my day and put boundaries around the bag of squirrels in my head!

Very effective! Almost didn't listen due to the lower star rating, but glad I did. Yes, the sound quality is not as great as it could be, but the meditation itself and the unique imagery makes up for it. My mind definitely feels less cluttered. Bookmarking! Thanks.

I loved this meditation. I've been studying and my phone kept buzzing and emails popping up and I couldn't concentrate. Took a break and found this meditation. It was exactly what I needed to reset! Thank you!! 🙏🏽
