Welcome to the subtle body meditation.
In the Kundalini tradition,
We all possess ten different bodies with the subtle body being a top body,
One that is essential to our well-being here in this time and space in this body.
And also,
Incredibly important in our afterlife is the subtle body travels with the soul to our next adventure.
So let's begin by breathing in,
Nice full inhale,
Filling the stomach,
The chest,
And the clavicle.
And exhaling completely,
Pulling the belly button towards the spine.
And as you breathe in and out fully,
Start to focus on your sixth chakra,
The third eye,
The brow point,
The place where traditionally intuitive thoughts arise,
Thoughts that don't come from the data,
The information that we've collected about a particular situation,
But come from somewhere else.
This is the essence of the third body,
The subtle body.
Our subtle body takes us beyond the superficial,
Beyond the immediate circumstances of any given situation and allows us to tap into that infinite resource.
So as you breathe in deeply and exhale completely,
Focusing on that third eye point.
Start to project out from that point,
Expel from that point if you will.
Those fears that you have in your life,
Those characteristics that you have that may limit you,
Those areas in your life that you feel may be lacking.
And as you breathe,
Project and expel those fears,
Those limitations,
That sense of lacking.
Because these are the antithesis of the subtle body.
Take a few moments to cleanse your mind of those thoughts,
Of those worries,
Of those anxieties.
And as you continue to breathe,
With your eyes closed,
Roll your eyes up and look at that brow point.
Stretch your optical nerve.
Send energy to that brow point.
And start to sense the open space,
Actually the universal space of the third eye.
Keep expanding the third eye.
Maybe first with your eyes closed you can see the room you're sitting in,
Then the building you're in,
Then the town or city you're in.
Expanding out until you can literally see all the stars,
All the galaxies.
Because this is the universal energy that we all are part of,
That we can tap into that.
Allow the subtle body to assist us in moving beyond this time and space.
In acquiring that intuition,
That spiritual intuition that is within all of us.
Continue breathing.
Maybe you feel yourself getting lighter,
Like you're floating in the ether,
In the expansiveness of this giant energetic field.
This giant energetic field that we're all part of.
And as you begin to breathe in and sense this lightness,
Lean back in your yogic posture ever so slightly.
Lay into that beanbag chair of existence that surrounds all of us.
That's part of the universe,
That's part of the Earth's electromagnetic field,
That's part of our aura.
And continue to luxuriate and connect with that feeling.
When our subtle body is weak or out of balance,
We tend to become naive.
Some of us tend to become crude,
Even crass.
Not seeing the subtleties of a situation,
Not having the confidence or finesse to approach a person,
Situation or circumstance with the full knowledge that we're connected with our infinite source.
That we have all we need and that we can draw on those resources at any moment.
But as we meditate,
Focusing on our brow point,
Focusing on this subtle body,
We begin to develop a mastery of self-discipline and control,
Which leads to greater confidence in any situation we enter.
And with mastery comes peace and calmness,
For our fears and anxieties start to drift away.
And ultimately we enter a state of grace,
A state where everything we do,
Every breath we take,
Is anchored to and centered upon our knowledge,
Our belief,
Our experience of being connected to an infinite resource through the subtle body and our sixth chakra.
So continue breathing,
Continue with your eyes closed,
Looking up at the third chakra.
Sitting back ever so slightly,
Enjoying the surrounding and support of the universe around you.
You know,
Life is not our enemy,
The universe is not our enemy,
It's our friend,
It wants to help us.
We must be open to receive that help by clearing away our own crudeness,
Our own crassness,
Our own impatience,
Our own restlessness.
So let go,
Let go,
Let go,
Let go.
Open yourself up to receive what is already yours and allow that subtle body and your intuition to develop and grow and sharpen into a tool which will help you physically,
Mentally,
And spiritually as you use your intuition to be in service of others who are still trapped in an unsubtle state,
In a naive state.
And as we come to the end of our meditation,
Take a nice deep breath in and hold the inhale.
And continue to hold if you can,
Take a spin,
It's okay,
It's not cheating,
Hold.
And exhale it all out completely,
Allowing your body,
Your mind,
Your soul to relax.
And take a moment to contemplate your subtle body.
Be well.
