We often use our bodies to store painful thoughts, emotions, habits, and tensions. Our body can reflect this burden by shutting down and blocking our full awakening and expressive flow in the universe. This clamping down on our bodies can cause health issues. Here we practice 3 different body-oriented meditations to release and cleanse the body and its posture of holding these old troubles. First is a release through tension, second is toning, and third is placing smile energy in each body part internally. Each podcast in this series of podcasts on awakening stand on its own. However, they also build on each other so are are most powerful if listened to in sequence from the first one and on. Though I am a psychotherapist and these podcasts are offered to be spiritually helpful, they are not psychotherapy. If psychotherapy is ever needed, please reach out to a psychotherapist.

Hello,

This is William Cooper.

Welcome to Awakening Together,

Relaxing into Happiness.

I trust you're doing well today.

In this series of podcasts,

We've looked at various ways to awaken,

To realize yourself,

To let go all that you're not,

And to enjoy the flow of infinite energy through your body,

Mind,

And through your life.

Often thoughts,

Emotions,

Are stored and stuck in the body.

Even though we've done a wonderful practice,

We've awakened,

Oftentimes if we don't attend to our body,

Our flow isn't complete.

Our body itself is gummed up from old thoughts and emotions that still reside there.

Old attitudes can reside in your body.

Although awake,

Your body might not respond as if it's awake.

You might walk slumped over.

You might not be glowing.

You might not be flowing.

You might be holding unconscious attitudes to yourself,

About yourself,

That hold you back,

That prevent you from exuding the beautiful being that you are,

That we all are.

So I would like to continue this series of meditations and now focus on the body.

Meditations that open up the body,

The energy centers,

And restore the flow.

Let our bodies awaken along with our minds and our emotions and all the rest of us,

Our awareness.

Today,

I'm going to address three quick,

Easy meditations to start opening up your body.

You're welcome to research them further,

But I wanted to start you off in the right direction,

Just to acquaint you with these meditations.

Perhaps you already use them.

Perhaps you already know that they exist,

But I wanted to remind you of them.

Because they're body oriented,

They might not even seem to be meditations to you,

But they are in their own way.

The first meditation is a tightening and a relaxing meditation to open up your body and allow your muscles to relax and your energy flow to be reestablished.

You can do this in the morning when you wake up or anytime during the day.

Very simple.

And I'll walk you through it.

Take a deep breath,

Close your eyes,

And begin to relax.

Now,

Tighten up all of your muscles,

All through your body at the same time.

Just tighten all of your muscles.

Tight,

Tight,

Tight.

Clench your fists,

Your arms,

Everything.

Tight,

Tight,

Tight,

Tight,

Tight,

And release.

And very important,

Feel how good that feels.

Enjoy.

Receive the relaxation.

Let it flow through your muscles.

Take some time and let it flow through your muscles.

Absorb that relaxation.

In deep awakening,

All there is,

Is a flow.

So practice just letting go and feeling the flow,

Going with the flow.

And you can do it again.

Tighten all the muscles in your body.

Tight,

Tight,

Tight,

Tight,

Tight,

Tight,

And relax.

And feel the flow.

Receive the relaxation.

Soak it up and feel how good that feels.

And again,

Tighten all the muscles in your body.

Tight,

Tight,

Tight,

Tight,

Tight,

And relax.

And feel the relaxation.

Soak it up.

Just enjoy it.

Enjoying is a good word because that's what awakening is.

It's pure enjoyment.

And to enjoy,

You must receive.

Relax and receive.

That is enjoyment.

Joy coming in.

Enjoyment.

So enjoy.

Relaxing.

You can do this anytime during the day and begin to feel the cells in your body vibrate and radiate.

This is a very important meditation.

It seems simple and intellectually not any big deal,

But it's very powerful to restore the radiance,

The flow of radiance through your body.

So I invite you to practice this meditation daily,

At least once.

Wonderful meditation to do during work.

Here and there,

You can do it instantly.

It's a beautiful reset.

Okay.

Take a deep breath.

Continue to relax.

And now we're going to do a second meditation,

Different.

And it's called toning.

We've referred to it in a past podcast.

Toning is where you let your muscles speak.

You let your body speak.

You let your body express itself.

You find a place in your body and you let it emit a sound through your vocal cords.

For instance,

Perhaps you feel a tension in your stomach somewhere and you just make a sound that expresses that tension and feel that.

Take a moment,

Relax and enjoy the opening that that vibration produces.

And you do that as many times as you'd like.

You experiment.

Maybe there's more than one tone that wants to come from that place.

Maybe your attention now shifts to another place.

Maybe your solar plexus.

You just make up the sound that feels appropriate for you.

That the sound that that muscle wants to express or that energy center wants to express.

And just like the last meditation where we tensed and relaxed,

Do the same with this.

It's not a tensing and a relaxation,

But it's a sound and you move through your body.

And after each sound,

You take a moment and just soak up the relaxation that begins to want to flood into where that sound vibrated out some tension,

Where that expression vibrated out some tension.

Because in awakening,

All of your tension is released.

And this is a practice to release tension throughout your body.

It's called toning.

You can move everywhere.

You could move to your third eye or your eyes themselves or your throat or your face.

You make up your sounds toning.

Okay.

Our third meditation to restore flow to our body radiance to let our cells continue to radiate the beautiful energy that you are.

And this meditation is like this.

Close your eyes,

Take a deep breath and let your attention go to any organ,

Any muscle,

Any place in your body that could use positive attention and picture that organ or that muscle or that place smiling.

For instance,

Picture a smile on your stomach,

Picture your stomach smiling and feel how good that feels.

Let it smile.

Just picture that.

Maybe it takes a while for the smile to soak in to your stomach.

Let your stomach smile.

And then you let your attention drift to the next place that it might want to go.

Let's say it's your left knee.

Let your left knee smile and feel how good that feels.

Your left knee smiling.

Give it time to soak it up.

You take all the time that you'd like when you're practicing on your own.

It might want to smile for five minutes.

Just let it enjoy it.

That's awakening and enjoyment flowing.

So you take your time because if you think about it,

If you take infinite time,

Enjoy,

You are infinitely awakened.

So what's the hurry?

Hurry,

In a sense,

Blocks awakening,

Right?

So take your time.

Maybe your forehead wants to smile.

Let it enjoy it.

Feel that smile.

Maybe your face wants to smile,

Including your lips.

Let them smile,

Actually smile on your face and feel how good that feels.

Maybe during the day when you're actually walking down the street,

You enjoy a smile on your face.

If during any of these meditations,

Tension arises or emotions arise.

For instance,

I'm walking down the street.

I put a smile on my face that feels good,

But then I feel anxiety.

I feel fear coming up.

Well,

Guess what?

Just like you do with your regular meditation,

Your awakening meditation,

You watch that fear.

It's no different than any other time you feel fear.

For instance,

In your awakening meditation or any other time in life or feel anxiety.

So you watch it.

You let it breathe.

You let it look around and notice,

Ah,

Everything is okay.

I'm with my favorite person,

Myself.

Wow.

I feel good.

And let the emotion,

The anxiety soak it up as well.

And as it soaks up,

As we've talked about in past podcasts,

It just relaxes,

Releases,

Burns off its energy and disappears.

Awakening,

The beautiful light of you flowing down through your body.

And you can imagine this beautiful flow,

How healthy it is for every cell in your body,

Every organ,

Every place in your body.

It is health itself.

So feel how good it feels to absorb and enjoy and flow with radiant health.

It's ageless.

Don't be surprised if you start to appear ageless because your body is flowing with your timeless energy,

Oneness energy,

A beautiful flow,

A timeless flow.

Let that fill your day.

Let yourself be radiant and smile.

Okay.

I hope you enjoy these three meditations and practice them.

In our future podcasts,

We're going to talk about some other meditations for your body and your energy centers.

I trust that you're going to have a great week.

Take care.

I look forward to talking to you next week.

Bye.
