This guided meditation is intended to help you cultivate a sense of deep relaxation.
Just take a moment to get yourself comfortable in your favorite meditation position.
It can be sitting or lying down.
Take a few nice deep breaths.
Allow yourself to soften into this experience.
Gently closing your eyes or softening your gaze.
You're starting to feel more and more relaxed.
You are aware of your body now and the weight of your body.
You can feel it sinking down deeper into the support beneath you.
Your mind is in complete control of your body,
Including your muscles.
So gently focus your attention on your feet and your toes.
There's an energy moving into the soles of your feet.
And that energy is relaxing all the muscles in your feet and toes.
Feel those muscles relax now.
That energy is moving up into your calves and as it moves both of your calf muscles become quite loose and relaxed.
Feel your calf muscles relax now.
The energy is moving now into your thigh muscles,
Causing them to simply let go and become loose.
Just let your thigh muscles just loosen.
Let go.
You might even feel a wee bit of a warmth as you start to really enjoy this relaxation process.
And now that relaxing energy is moving into your hips and your groin.
And the muscles there also unwind and become loose and relaxed.
Now that energy flows into your backside and those muscles also relax.
You feel the energy moving now and it's moving into your abdominal muscles,
Your waist and the small of your back.
And as this happens all of the muscles there are bathed in relaxing energy,
Which causes them to unwind like a rubber band letting go.
Now that energy is flowing up into your chest and your upper back causing the muscles there to let go,
To soften,
To relax.
You're doing such a powerful thing for yourself,
Cultivating this sense of deep,
Deep relaxation.
The energy is now moving into your shoulders and as those muscles relax you can feel your shoulders sinking down a little.
Inviting in softness,
Calmness.
Now the energy moves into your arms,
Your hands and your fingers relaxing all of those muscles too.
You may even feel a wee bit of a tingling in your fingertips as the energy reaches them.
That relaxing energy is now moving into your neck and if you're holding any tension there it simply melts away,
Allowing your neck muscles to become loose and free.
Now the energy is moving into your head causing the muscles on your scalp and around your ears to unwind,
To soften,
Smoothing out,
Relaxing.
Now that energy is flowing around your face and as it moves all the tiny muscles around your eyes,
Your nose and your mouth soften and let go.
Your jaw relaxes as you allow a little space between your teeth.
Even your tongue starts to relax.
Soft jaw,
Relaxed tongue.
Your entire body is now totally relaxed.
Your body feels soft,
Relaxed.
You're feeling comfortable and secure and that energy is still within you and it's now flowing out of the top of your head and moving down toward your feet.
As it reaches your feet,
Your entire body is now enveloped in a warm cocoon of energy.
This energy protects you and seals in this process that you've just created for yourself,
Allowing you to feel deeply,
Deeply relaxed.
Just allow yourself a few moments to really absorb this profound,
Deep relaxation that you've created for yourself.
Now that energy is flowing out of your body,
Your entire body is now enveloped in a warm cocoon of energy.
Just continue to fully relax,
Let go and be at ease.
Now let's move on to the next step.

Now it's time to end this deeply relaxing process,
Bringing your awareness back to where you're sitting or lying.
You might want to wiggle your fingers and toes a little bit.
