Welcome to today's practice.
We'll start by noticing the breath.
I'll invite you to find a comfortable position.
For this one it can be seated or it can be lying down.
If you want to do a standing meditation,
That's also an option.
Wherever you are.
I invite you to find your surface.
The surface beneath you.
Notice it.
Whether it's a chair,
Whether it's the floor.
Notice how it supports you,
How it holds you.
Now just simply notice the body.
Any tightness,
Any tension,
Any heaviness.
Without labeling right or wrong,
Bad or good,
Can we notice?
And remember we're not trying to chase any outcomes.
We're not trying to get rid of any tension.
The meditation today is just to know it.
Without judgment.
Without forcing.
And see how this lands within your body.
For today,
Our focus is going to be on noticing the breath.
I'll invite you to take a deep inhale in through the nose.
And exhale out.
Through the node.
We'll shape this breathing pattern for a couple more rounds of breaths.
As you breathe,
Notice the quality of the breath.
Notice the pace,
The flow.
Notice if the breath is choppy or if it's fluid.
Whatever it is,
Notice.
As you breathe in,
The breath passes through the chest.
Maybe it reaches all the way up to the crown of the head.
And as you exhale.
The breath reaches past the abdomen,
Maybe even towards the hips.
As you continue with this breath pattern.
Start to notice the flow.
Notice the speed of the breath,
The pace,
The quality.
And here you are bringing awareness to a body process that is so automatic.
Just realizing that we have this within us to nourish us at every moment.
Remember that.
We have this,
The tool of the breath.
The guidance of the breath.
To take us through any situation.
No matter how challenging.
Or how easy the situation is.
Notice how the breath changes the body.
Notice how the breath maybe changes the mind.
Continue to notice the flow.
Quality,
The texture of the bridge.
Without trying to fix or to change anything.
Simply just being a witness.
Noticing the breath for what it is,
What it brings to us.
As we come to the end of this simple practice I'll invite you to tea.
Your last few rounds of breaths in this state.
Remember that you can always come back to this.
It's always already in you.
Sometimes we just have to realise it.
Let's take one more full and deep breath in.
And the full exhale.
When you are ready,
You can gently bring movement into the fingertips and the toes.
Gently opening your eyes,
Coming back to space.
Thank you so much for listening to this meditation and I hope you have a great day ahead.
