Welcome to today's gratitude practice.
I'll invite you to find any comfortable seated position.
Keeping the spine upright and tall.
Start to find your breath.
And if you haven't already,
You can close the eyes or lower the gaze.
Starting to tune your awareness inwards.
As you inhale,
Noticing the body expand.
And as you exhale,
Notice the body softens.
Notice the flow and the rhythm of your breath.
Without trying to fix it,
Change it.
Now gently bring your awareness to the body.
The head,
The temples,
The jaw.
The shoulders.
The arms,
Legs.
Spine.
Abdomen,
Chest.
And just notice what might be happening in the body right now.
Any areas of tension,
Tightness.
Any sensations of tingling,
Energy.
Now in this state.
Um.
.
.
Stillness.
In this state of silence.
Just notice what you might be grateful for.
Whether it's a person.
Actions that they did.
Whether it's for something in the world.
An event that happened.
Whether it's a thing,
An object,
The things you have.
Whether it's an opportunity.
And infants.
Something you were able to do.
Whatever it is,
And it can be anything.
Notice what this one thing is.
And as you recall this thing that brings you gratitude.
Notice how it feels in your body as you recall this.
What's the emotion that comes up?
What's the body sensations that come up?
And as you give space for this gratitude.
Noticing what it brings to you.
Notice the meaning,
The intention,
The purpose.
And just allowing some space for this feeling to wash over you.
Maybe you're feeling a little bit lighter.
Maybe there's more space and openness.
Whatever it is.
Feel it in the body.
There's plenty of space.
And anything that comes up is welcome.
And sometimes there may be many things to be grateful for.
But today,
For this practice,
We're just focusing on one.
On one small thing.
One smaller.
And making it bigger by noticing what that gratitude brings to us.
How it feels in the body,
The emotions that come up.
And why we can be grateful for so many things.
Noticing.
Something really small in detail.
Also has so much to tell us.
I'll invite you to take a couple more rounds of breath.
Breathing in gratitude.
Exhaling anything that doesn't serve you.
And when it feels right for you,
I'll invite you to gently bring movement into your fingertips and toes.
And when it feels right.
You can gently open the eyes.
Returning back to the space.
Thank you so much for listening to this meditation and I wish you a great day ahead.
