In this meditation,
We'll be looking at communication and connection.
Finding a comfortable seated position.
You can have the eyes closed or the gaze lowered.
And when you feel settled and comfortable,
I'll invite you to tune inwards by finding your breath.
Allowing the eyelids to be light.
Let the jaw be soft.
Facial muscles relax.
There's no need to clench or to grip.
And invite some softening.
Invite some relaxation.
Invite some calm into the body.
And as you allow the physical body to be still.
Notice what's going on within the mind.
The thoughts that are passing through.
The body sensations that you may be feeling.
The emotions that might be arising.
And at this moment.
Gently notice what captures your attention.
What captures your focus?
And there's no right or wrong.
Nothing you should be doing.
There's no better or worse.
Just noticing.
Connecting to yourself and to your inner world.
Connection with ourselves and our thoughts and really having this focus and attention is so important in order for good communication to happen.
Connection is the starting point for communication.
Sometimes our minds are cluttered,
Flustered,
Chaotic.
And maybe in those situations we don't feel as connected to ourselves.
Therefore,
Our communication might suffer a little bit.
As you sit here,
Noticing the breath,
The body and the emotions you might be feeling.
Really notice the connection you have with yourself with your thoughts,
With your breath,
With your body.
And in a state where we feel connected.
It becomes the breeding ground for good communication.
We calm the emotional part of the brain.
We turn on the prefrontal cortex which is responsible for communication,
For planning,
For thinking and we find clarity through it.
Coming back to your breath.
Noticing how the body feels at this moment Drawing your awareness to any areas of tension,
Tightness,
And see if you can bring some ease and space into it.
As we come to the end of this meditation.
I'll invite you to spend the last few seconds just thinking about what connection means to you.
What are some ways to help you feel more connected to yourself?
What does connection feel like in your body?
You can take your time.
Wherever you are.
When you are ready,
You can bring movement into the fingertips and the toes.
Gently opening the eyes,
Returning to the space you're in.
Thank you so much for listening to this meditation and I hope you have a great day ahead.
