In this meditation today we'll be looking at noticing and feeling beauty.
I'll invite you to find a comfortable seated position.
Allowing the hips and the sit bones to comfortably rest on the surface beneath you.
Allowing the shoulders to release away from the ears,
Creating space in the neck.
And when you're feeling like you're settled.
I'll invite you to close the eyes or lower the gaze.
As you give some space and stillness for the body.
Notice the softening.
The calming.
The relaxing effect.
It might be bringing you.
Noticing and feeling beauty come in the moments that we are Not chasing.
They come in the quiet and still moments.
They come when we're not distracted.
But rather they come when we're focused,
When we're attentive,
When we're inquiring things with curiosity.
Noticing things as they are.
Finding the beauty in it.
And set of judging.
Instead of picking things apart.
Finding beauty comes with appreciating what is.
And in a world where were chasing perfection or thinking things could be better.
Sometimes,
Depending on the context,
We also owe it to ourselves to just let things be and to see the beauty that already exists within them.
Maybe this is the word.
Maybe this is the challenging and the tougher parts.
Maybe sometimes it's easier to change something.
Instead of step back and appreciate what it is.
As you sit here in this quiet and still space.
I'll invite you to bring to mind a piece of artwork.
An object.
Or maybe as an action.
Or anything you want to appreciate.
Picture that in your mind.
Allow that story to unfold.
Picture that scenario like a movie.
Noticing it for its details.
Bringing your attention inwards,
Zooming into that object or that moment.
And as you have this image in your mind.
Notice the little specks of beauty you can pinpoint.
Notice the fine detail that you may have missed.
Allow that image to linger in the mind.
Noticing.
That beauty.
Feeling that beauty.
Noticing the object or the event.
Or whatever is going on in your mind.
Noticing it for what it is.
Instead of trying to fix it,
Trying to change it.
Or try to have and be any other way.
And as you hold this image in your mind.
Notice how the body feels.
Any sensations of tightness or tension.
Any sensations of spaciousness,
Openness.
Maybe it's love or gratitude.
Maybe it's energy.
A tingling sensation.
Softening Notice what's coming up for you.
And if it's okay.
Allowing these sensations to be there.
Beauty exists in all moments,
In all objects.
Sometimes we have to be the ones to create space in order to notice them.
In order to feel them.
And in the fast-paced life that some of us live.
Sometimes it requires slowing down,
Giving space,
Inviting stillness.
To notice that beauty exists all around us.
And as those messages land in your body,
Notice what might be going on for you at the moment.
Whatever feels right for you.
I'll invite you to bring some movement back into the body.
And at your own time,
Gently opening the eyes.
Returning back to the space you are in.
Thank you so much for listening to this meditation and I wish you a great day ahead.
