Hello everyone and welcome to another episode of the Positive Mindset Tribe.
Today I'm going to be talking about intuition,
How to develop our intuition,
Our gut feeling,
Our sixth sense,
Whatever you want to call it,
How to tell if you're listening to your intuition or the chatter in your mind.
And I'm going to be sharing some practical tips to develop your intuition so you can make better decisions.
And this episode is very important because learning how to use your intuition is probably one of the most useful things you can do to make decisions that are in your highest interest.
And by highest interest,
I mean that are good for you,
For your soul,
For your development for your purpose,
Not to please others,
But for your growth.
And we normally make decisions using only our analytical mind.
Our analytical mind is great,
Very useful,
But many,
Many times we forget to trust our intuition,
That gut feeling,
Which in my experience is much more important than what the logical mind can assess or can process.
And I'm just going to ask you one question.
How many times have you made a decision and a bit later have found that it wasn't the best idea and have said to yourself,
I should have followed my intuition,
I should have followed my gut feeling,
I knew it from the beginning that there was something that didn't feel right about it.
So that was your intuition right there.
And we do this all the time.
And intuition is something that is available for everyone.
Everyone,
Literally anyone can learn how to listen to their intuition.
It just takes practice.
So don't think that you're very far from it and there's no way you're going to be able to do it.
Sure,
There are some people who are more open and I would say in general,
Women are more they can develop their intuition more easily because our energy body is different.
We are more yin energy,
More magnetic.
So it can be easier for us to connect with our intuition to perceive information in different ways.
But men can do it too.
Anyone can do it.
This is something that you can train.
And this is something I have trained and I have practiced to be able to use it in a useful way.
So first things first,
Let's start talking about what intuition is.
The way I would define intuition is it is a built in system we all have to perceive information that is not available through the traditional senses.
So it's a mechanism to perceive and process information that we can't see with our eyes.
We can't hear.
We can't process through the logical brain or explain how or why we are perceiving it.
But we just know.
We just perceive this information in a different way.
And I know that the main problem with using your intuition or your gut feeling or sixth sense,
Your higher self,
Your inner guidance,
Whatever you want to call it,
Is that sometimes we are not sure about how to discern between what intuition actually is.
What is your intuition,
Your gut feeling talking to you?
And what is the chatter in your mind?
Right?
So I'm going to talk about this and I'm going to share some practical tips and steps you can take to prove,
You know,
To try to test it so you can trust your intuition more.
And again,
This is a very,
Very important episode because a lot of times there is much more to a situation or even a person or a place that what the physical eye can't see.
And for example,
When you go to a bar or to a shop or when you meet someone new,
Sometimes you immediately know if you like that place or that person.
And sometimes you can't describe why.
You might not be able to explain why you feel so good spending time with the person you just met or why you feel completely repelled by another person or a place.
Well,
That's your intuition right there.
You are perceiving something about that person or that place that you can't see with the physical eye.
You can't explain with your logical mind,
But information is there and you are receiving it and processing it just in a different way.
And since we are all energy and our energy field carries all the information about ourselves,
It is actually very easy to see how you can perceive some traits about a person without even talking to them.
And I'm sure it's happened to you that you meet someone and you think,
I have a good feeling about this person.
And you can't think of anything they've said.
It's not like they've done anything wrong.
It's not about how they look,
But you just know,
You just you're just having that feeling that you're not clicking,
You're not resonating.
And it's because you are perceiving his or her energy.
You don't know how you can describe how because it's not something you are seeing or hearing or that you can even describe with words.
But you are perceiving that energy and it's just that you're perceiving it in a different way.
So in my experience,
I have learned how to use my intuition more and more.
This is something I have actively worked on.
Like I said,
This is not something that just happened to me.
So I actively worked on improving it because the more I was using my intuition to make decisions,
I have seen it working so many times.
And some of the decisions I've made in my life didn't make logical sense at all.
But I just knew what I had to do.
I had a strong feeling about what I had to do.
And I rebelled at the beginning and I didn't understand and I was like,
But I don't get it.
I don't see the purpose of this.
But eventually,
When I have trusted my intuition or my higher guidance is always being for the best.
And eventually,
Later,
There was always a reason or I always understood why that was the best decision for me to make.
One of the best examples I can give is when I had a super strong feeling that I had to move out of central London.
So I was living in central London in King's Cross and this was at the end of 2019.
I absolutely love London.
So I moved to London from space because I fell in love with that city.
So we were living in a small flat in central London,
Which was enough for us,
For my boyfriend and I.
We both had quit our office jobs.
So we didn't have that strong attachment,
But we still had many connections and friends and our life in London.
So it didn't make much sense to suddenly go and live somewhere else.
But I kept getting this message that we had to get out of the city.
It was a very consistent and strong message.
Get out of the big city.
Get out of there.
You're going to be safer.
And I was thinking,
But safer?
Like,
Safer from what?
So I don't know.
It was so strong that I just couldn't go against it.
So we decided to move out to a beautiful residential area,
Posh and lovely by the Thames.
But I hated it.
I hated it because I really missed my city life,
My friends,
My dancing,
My shops around the corner,
All the restaurants,
My super convenient location.
I missed everything.
And I thought that I had made the worst mistake of my life.
And I was like,
Wow,
I really trusted my intuition.
I went again against my logical thinking.
And here I am hating my life.
I'm never going to do this again.
But three months later,
The lockdown started and the whole world was under house arrest.
Everyone going crazy and panicking about being within two metres of another human being.
Something that we had never experienced before.
Something like that I couldn't have predicted.
But I understood that the reason why I had to get out of the city was to be in a much bigger place with beautiful gardens.
We would have really,
Really struggled in a tiny apartment in London without nothing to do,
Nowhere to go,
Everything closed.
All the craziness,
All the madness.
So I could see how it was actually a blessing to be able to move out of the city.
A blessing.
The area we moved to and how it happened.
It was just perfect.
It was just perfect.
So something that at the beginning didn't make much sense.
It was a big leap of faith to go against my logical mind and follow my guidance.
But I understood that it was definitely for the best.
And the important decisions in my life that I have made following my intuition have been the ones with better outcome.
No doubt.
So today I want to share with you how I worked on this,
How I developed this connection to my intuition.
And I would encourage you to practice and develop your intuition to practice the tips I'm going to share with you.
Because especially in this world full of lies and propaganda,
Manipulation and corruption,
The only way to know the truth,
The only way to know what's good for you is to trust yourself.
To go with what feels right for you.
Even though that might go against what everyone else believes or even against what your logical mind thinks it's best.
But from experience,
It's one of the most useful things you can learn because it's going to help you make decisions that are in your highest interest.
And like I said,
In this world of lies,
Knowing how to trust yourself and sometimes go against the current is one of the most powerful tools we have.
Right.
So how do we do this?
How do I learn to develop my intuition?
How do I connect to my intuition?
How do I know if this message I'm getting is actually my intuition or just the chatter in my mind or just influence from someone else?
Right.
So a few steps to take here.
First things first,
You're going to have to learn to quiet your mind.
So if you can't sit in stillness for five minutes without getting caught in whatever thoughts are coming up for you,
You're going to have a real time going within and listening to your intuition.
By this,
I don't mean that you have to leave your mind blank completely.
I don't think anyone can do this unless you're a Buddhist monk and have lived in a cave for the last 30 years.
So it's not about not having thoughts,
But it's about being able to be very present,
To be aware of the present moment,
To be in the here and now and not jump from thought to thought.
It's about being able to be aware of those thoughts and let them come and go,
But not react,
Not get caught in them.
Because this is one of the main problems that stops us from truly trusting and following our intuition,
That our mind is so busy,
So full of thoughts.
And if we don't learn how to quiet our mind,
It's impossible to know if we are getting a message because we are perceiving something with our sixth sense and we are perceiving that information or we are just listening to our monkey mind.
And I've talked about meditation.
And how important this is to have a healthy,
Positive mindset.
I think in the first couple of episodes,
I talked a lot about how meditation,
Training your mind can really help you with your mindset so you don't get caught in that chain of thoughts that at the end of the day might take you on a path of negativity or just waste your time.
Or just wasting so much energy.
You know,
We waste so much energy,
Giving a lot of energy to thoughts that are irrelevant.
So go back to those episodes or go to my YouTube channel where you will find a lot of guided meditations.
But this is one of the very first steps.
Try to quiet your mind.
Practice.
Train your mind so you can be able to see the truth.
So you can be able to sit in stillness at least for a few minutes to go with things.
That's the only way you're going to be really able to perceive what your intuition is telling you.
So once you've done this and you're comfortable with,
You know,
Sitting down,
Being on your own with no notifications,
Going within,
Being aware of what's going on for you today.
Here is an exercise for you to practice.
So think of a decision you have to make where you have to choose between two options.
And let's say two options for now to make it easier.
Close your eyes and quiet your mind with some meditation first.
Breathe deeply to relax the mind and body.
And only when you feel like you are in a good state of mind,
Proceed to the following steps.
So first of all,
Quiet your mind,
Relax your body,
Take some really deep breaths.
When we breathe deeply,
We're telling the body that is safe.
We reset the fight or flight system so we can be more relaxed,
More centered.
So do this at least for a few minutes first.
And then think of the alternatives you have to choose from,
The decision you have to make one at a time.
Right.
For example,
Let's say that you have received a job offer and you're trying to decide if that's right for you or not.
And you have like a big list of pros and cons,
But you still don't know if that will be the right step for you.
So bring to mind both options.
Visualize yourself getting that job,
Working for that company,
Doing that work every day.
And notice,
Just be aware,
If you have an expansive feeling or a contractive feeling.
If it feels like you feel lighter or darker and also lighter or heavier.
So just be aware of the sensations,
Not thinking from the logical mind,
But just the sensations.
So when you visualize yourself in this new job,
How does the body feel?
How is the energy field reacting?
How is your soul reacting?
What sensations are going on for you?
When we have an expansive feeling,
When you visualize yourself doing something and you feel like your energy field is growing,
Like you're getting bigger,
Like everything becomes lighter,
It means that the energy body is reacting positively and that that's good for us,
That that's the way to go.
But when we have a contractive,
Oppressive feeling,
Sometimes it can feel like someone is pulling your guts from the inside,
Like something like that.
That's an indication that that option is not for us,
Is not in our highest interest.
So this is an exercise for you to try.
Like I said before,
Don't try this exercise without doing some meditation first,
Because the key to this exercise is that you are able to not get caught in the monkey mind and you're able to really become aware of what sensations are going on for you in your body,
Because that's what the exercise is based on.
OK,
So another tip,
Start with small decisions.
And when you see that your intuition is right,
Because you will see that it's right every single time.
If you do this process,
If you really learn to quiet your mind,
If you really go with what the body is telling you,
Not getting caught in the monkey mind,
You will see that it's right 100% of the times.
So start with smaller decisions.
And once you know that,
Once you see that it's right and you can trust it,
Then you can use it for more important decisions.
If you start trying to listen to your intuition for a very important decision,
Like for example,
Shall I buy this house or not?
Like something that requires a big investment,
A lot of time,
A lot of money,
A lot of energy.
Fear of getting it wrong might be a big factor.
This is going to get in the way.
So start with smaller decisions first,
Just to get confidence.
No,
Just to calibrate,
You know,
Because sometimes it's happened to me that I've thought,
Oh,
My intuition is telling me to go to this,
I don't know,
To this shop instead of this one or to buy this instead of that other thing.
And I've got it wrong.
And I was like,
Yeah,
I wasn't in such a good state of mind.
Intuition is never going to feel like an urge.
And sometimes I've made that mistake that I've got like a sudden urge to do something.
And when it feels rushed,
When it comes from a feeling of fear,
It's like,
Oh,
I'm going to do something,
I'm going to do something,
I'm going to do something.
And when it comes from a feeling of fear of missing out,
That's normally not intuition.
We might think that it's intuition because it normally comes from deep inside and you might feel even a physical sensation around the stomach,
The solar plexus,
You know,
Around or the gut area.
And we can confuse those two.
Anything that comes from a feeling of I have to rush to do this,
That comes from fear of missing out,
That's not intuition.
So,
Yeah,
Because fear can get in the way.
Just make sure that you start with smaller decisions and then you can calibrate and see where you got it right.
And then when you get used to getting it right with the smaller decisions,
You will be much more confident to use it for more important decisions.
Another very important thing to take into account,
Another tip,
Choose your timing wisely.
And by timing,
I mean when you are going to connect with your intuition.
I have found that the best way to really connect with your inner guidance is first thing in the morning before you eat.
Our mind is much clearer.
We are rested.
It is much more efficient.
So if you come home after a busy day,
An active meeting,
Going to the gym and listening to high energy music,
Or if you are very,
Very tired,
It's not the best idea.
You're probably not going to be in the best state of mind to be able to quiet your mind and go with things and discern what is intuition.
Don't try to listen to your intuition if you're thinking about a decision when you're very stressed or feeling anxious.
Your mind or your body need to be calm.
This is a must.
Now,
Ladies,
Like I said,
Anyone can access their intuitive skills,
But I have found that in general,
It tends to be easier for women.
Now,
For the ladies who still menstruate,
I would recommend you try this exercise and put in practice these tips while you're on your period.
And I know that sometimes you may be in pain and you might think that it's not definitely not the best time of the month.
Trust me.
If you rest during your period,
You will see that this is a wonderful time of the month to quiet the mind and listen to your inner wisdom,
Because the same way you might not feel that much like going out or socializing,
It is precisely because the skills that are enhanced within your body are your intuitive skills.
So make the most of this.
And in the previous episode,
Which was all about how the female cycle can impact our mindset,
I explained this in detail.
So go back to that episode.
I think it was episode 9 or 10.
I can't remember now.
But if this topic sounds of interest,
Go back to it.
Because I explained this in much more detail.
But just get this idea for now.
And honestly,
Trust me and do this exercise during your period.
You're going to see that it's much easier that if you flow with it,
That you allow your body to rest and you flow with these energies.
I feel like during,
Especially the day I get my period,
The day after,
We become kind of balls of intuition.
Like sometimes someone is talking to me and I'm like,
I can't be bothered.
I just want to go inside.
Like my energy is all inside.
So I'm much more able to connect with my inner guidance,
With the sensations in my body.
I'm more able to meditate for longer periods of time and I start getting ideas or inspiration out of nowhere.
So please,
Please,
Please try this.
And I mean,
This is not something I made up.
This is what our ancestors have been doing for centuries,
If not millennia.
So women in ancient traditions,
They would go to what they call the moon lodges together with other women and rest during their periods.
And they would share their visions,
Their dreams.
I wish I had been part of it.
Well,
I know I've probably been part of it in other lives because it feels like something that I haven't done in this lifetime.
But it feels like something so deep within me,
Like something I know,
Like something I have experienced.
So again,
I talk more about this topic on episode nine about the female cycle.
Now,
My lovely ladies who don't menstruate anymore,
Congratulations,
You are a permanent ball of intuition because since you don't menstruate anymore,
All the energy that was used to create life or to be ready in case you got pregnant,
All the energy now goes within.
And a lot of women after the menopause can experience a huge spiritual awakening and they can see their intuitive and clairvoyant abilities heightened.
So please enjoy.
Like,
See this time as the time when you can become the wisest version of yourself because you have all that wisdom accumulating.
And also your body is changing into being in going within mode.
Let me put it that way.
Right.
So so yeah.
So you will see that if you flow with what your body is doing and maybe instead of trying to do a lot of high energy activities that you might not feel like doing that much instead of being frustrated because you don't feel like doing those activities,
Go with what your body is telling you,
Go within and you will see how your intuitive skills can be much more enhanced.
And just try,
Just try and give it a go.
And the last tip I'm going to share today is for those who have done a bit more of spiritual development,
Who are used to do meditation techniques,
You can do this.
Meditation techniques.
I have a more advanced technique to connect with your soul,
With your higher self,
With your inner guidance.
Now,
If you have never done meditation before,
I wouldn't recommend you start trying this one.
So start with a simple with the simple exercise first,
The one I just described.
But I'm going to leave a link to the article where I explain the details step by step because you have to do a certain meditation first and then you have to visualize some geometric forms.
So if you're not used to meditation,
It might be a bit too much.
But for those who are used to doing guided meditations and are more familiar with spiritual development techniques,
I'm going to share this one.

Start going with things and listening to that wonderful built-in guidance system that we all have.
And I promise you will make much better decisions.

Oh my God,
I'm so far from being able to make decisions based on my intuition.
Honestly,
It is all about practice.
And I practiced a lot before I felt comfortable trusting my intuition completely.
And still there are some days when I just don't feel that I'm in the right state and I just wait until I feel a bit calmer and more connected with myself.
Sometimes I have to make a decision and I'm like,
Right,
How do I feel about this?
But maybe I'm stressed or I'm very tired that day or for some reason my mind is just not in the best place.
And then I would say,
Well,
I'm going to leave it and I'm going to try tomorrow morning when I'm rested after doing my meditation routine,
You know,
So.
It's all about practice like any other skill you might want to learn.
But give it a try,
You know,
Try the exercise I suggest in this episode and let me know how it goes.
