Take a moment to settle in.
You might be seated or lying down,
Whatever feels most comfortable.
Or just let your body begin to soften.
There's nothing you need to rush into.
Start by taking a slow breath in.
And exhale gently.
Allow the day to begin to settle.
This is a moment to simply notice.
Without judgment,
Without trying to fix anything.
Just becoming aware.
Take a breath in.
And as you exhale,
Let your shoulders drop.
Now gently bring your attention to your inner world.
What has been sitting with you today.
What have you been holding?
It might be something obvious or something more subtle.
Maybe it's a thought that keeps returning.
A pressure you've been carrying,
An emotion that hasn't fully moved through.
You don't need to name it perfectly,
Just begin to notice.
And if you're journaling,
You might begin with,
Today I notice I've been holding blame.
Let the words come slowly.
There's no right way to do this,
So you might also reflect on your body.
Where did you feel tension today?
Where did you soften even just a little?
So I want you to take some time here to let yourself write or simply sit quietly and reflect.
Just taking another moment to wrap up.
If anything feels heavy or unresolved,
See if you can hold it with a little bit of gentleness.
You don't have to have it all figured out tonight.
You might place a hand over your heart or simply take a deeper breath.
And offer a simple prayer,
God,
I give this to you.
I don't have to carry this alone.
Let that truth settle.
And as you prepare for rest,
Allow yourself to release the need to hold onto this any longer tonight.
You can return to it later if needed,
But for now,
You are allowed to rest.
Take one more slow breath in.
And a gentle exhale out.
You've done enough for today.
