Take a few slow,
Deep breaths.
Inhale God's peace.
Exhale the weight of the day.
Let your shoulders soften.
Your jaw relax.
And your thoughts settle.
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for carrying me throughout this day.
For every blessing,
Big and small.
Seen and unseen.
I give you thanks.
Help me release what is unfinished and rest in the truth that you are always working for my good.
Lord,
I bring you my worries,
My mistakes,
And my burdens.
Forgive me where I fell short today.
I lay down my fears,
My to-do list,
And my striving.
I trust that you hold tomorrow in your hands.
As you inhale,
Pray silently,
I rest in your peace.
You And as you exhale,
Pray silently,
I surrender it all to you.
Lord,
Cover this home with your peace tonight.
Guard my mind from anxious thoughts.
My heart from fear.
And my dreams from unrest.
Let your presence be my comfort and my safe refuge as I sleep.
As I close my eyes,
Help me rest in your promises.
Renew my strength for the day ahead.
May I wake tomorrow with a heart full of gratitude and a spirit ready to follow you.
In Jesus's name,
Amen.
Find a comfortable position lying down.
Allow your body to be fully supported.
You might lie on your back,
Arms resting gently by your sides,
Palms facing up or down.
If it feels comfortable,
Allow your legs to extend longer.
Or you could bend your knees,
Placing your feet on the floor or the bed.
Whatever allows your body to soften.
Take a moment to adjust.
Making any small movements that you need so your body can settle a little more comfortably.
And when you're ready,
Gently close your eyes.
Take a slow breath in through your nose.
And exhale out of your mouth.
Again,
Inhale.
And exhale.
Letting your whole body begin to release into the surface beneath you.
There's nothing you need to do now.
Nowhere you need to go.
Just rest.
Begin to bring your awareness to your breath.
Not changing it,
Just noticing.
The gentle rise and fall.
You With each exhale,
Allow your body to grow heavier.
And now we'll begin to bring awareness through the body.
There's no need to move.

As if your body is gently sinking into the surface beneath you.
You Let your arms feel heavy.
Your legs heavy.
Your whole body soft and supported.
There is nothing you need to hold.
Now gently bring to mind anything from your day that still feels unfinished.
Anything you may still be carrying.
You don't need to go into the details.
Just a sense of him.
And now imagine placing it into God's hands.
You don't have to carry it into the night.
You might silently pray,
God,
I release this to you.
I trust you with this.
Let your breath deepen slightly.
Inhale.
And exhale,
Releasing.
Now for the next few moments,
Rest here in stillness.

Renew my strength for the day ahead.
May I wake tomorrow with a heart full of gratitude and a spirit ready to follow you.
In Jesus's name,
Amen.
Take a moment to settle in as we breathe.
Hear the words from Paul.
These verses affirm Jesus was physically raised from the dead.
First Corinthians 15.
Now brothers and sisters,
I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you,
Which you received and on which you have taken your stand.
By this gospel,
You are saved.
If you hold firmly to the word I preached to you.
Otherwise,
You have believed in vain.
For what I received,
I passed on to you as of first importance,
That Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures.
That he was buried.
That he was raised on the third day according to the scriptures.
And that he appeared to Cephas and to the Twelve.
After that,
He appeared to more than 500 of the brothers and sisters at the same time.
Most of whom are still living,
Though some have fallen asleep.
Then he appeared to James,
Then to all the apostles,
And last of all he appeared to me also,
As to one abnormally born.
For I am the least of the apostles and do not even deserve to be called an apostle,
Because I persecuted the Church of God.
But by the grace of God,
I am what I am,
And His grace to me was not without effect.
No,
I worked harder than all of them.
Yet not I,
But the grace of God that was with me.
Whether then it is I or they,
This is what we preach,
And this is what you believe.
But if it is preached that Christ has been raised from the dead,
How can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?
If there is no resurrection of the dead,
Then not even Christ has been raised.
And if Christ has not been raised,
Our preaching is useless and so is your faith.
More than that.
We are then found to be false witnesses about God.
For we have testified about God that he raised Christ from the dead.
But he did not raise him if,
In fact,
The dead are not raised.
For if the dead are not raised,
Then Christ has not been raised either.
And if Christ has not been raised,
Your faith is futile.
You are still in your sins.
Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost.
If only for this life we have hope in Christ,
We are of all people most to be pitied.
But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead,
The first fruits of those who have fallen asleep.
For since death came through a man,
The resurrection of the dead comes also through a man.
For as in Adam all die,
So in Christ all will be made alive.
But each in turn,
Christ,
The first fruits.
Then,
When he comes,
Those who belong to him.
Then the end will come,
When he hands over the kingdom to God,
The Father,
After he has destroyed all dominion,
Authority,
And power.
For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet.
The last enemy to be destroyed is death.
For he has put everything under his feet.
Now when it says that everything has been put under him it is clear that this does not include God himself.
Who put everything under Christ.
When he has done this,
Then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him,
So that God may be all in all.
Now if there is no resurrection.
What will those do who are baptized for the dead?
If the dead are not raised at all.
Why are people baptized for them?
And as for us.
Why do we endanger ourselves every hour?
I face death every day.
Yes,
Just as surely as I boast about you in Christ Jesus our Lord.
If I fought wild beasts in Ephesus with no more than human hopes,
What have I gained?
If the dead are not raised.
Let us eat and drink for tomorrow we die.
Do not be misled.
Bad company corrupts good character.
Come back to your senses as you are.
And stop sinning.
For there are some who are ignorant of God.
I say this to your shame.
But someone will ask,
How are the dead raised?
With what kind of body will they come?
How foolish.
What you sow does not come to life unless it dies.
When you sow,
You do not plant the body that will be,
But just a seed,
Perhaps of wheat or of something else.
But God gives it a body as he has determined.
And to each kind of seed he gives his own body.
Not all flesh is the same.
People have one kind of flesh.
Animals have another.
Birds another,
And fish another.
There are also heavenly bodies and there are earthly bodies.
But the splendor of the heavenly bodies is one kind and the splendor of the earthly bodies is another.
The sun has one kind of splendor,
The moon another,
And the stars another.
And star differs from star in splendor.
So will it be with the resurrection of the dead?
The body that is sown is perishable.
It is raised imperishable.
It is sown in dishonor.
It is raised in glory.
It is sown in weakness.
It is raised in power.
It is sown a natural body.
It is raised a spiritual body.
If there is a natural body.
There is also a spiritual body.
So it is written,
The first man Adam became a living being.
And The Last Adam,
A life-giving spirit.
The spiritual did not come first,
But the natural.
And after the spiritual.
The first man was of the dust of the earth.
The second man is of heaven.
As was the earthly man,
So are those who are of the earth.
And as is the heavenly man,
So are those who are of heaven.
And just as we have borne the image of the earthly man,
So shall we bear the image of the heavenly man.
So I declare to you,
Brothers and sisters,
That flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God.
Nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.
Listen,
I tell you a mystery.
We will not all sleep,
But we will all be changed in a flash,
In the twinkling of an eye,
At the last trumpet.
For the trumpet will sound,
The dead will be raised imperishable,
And we will be changed.
For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable.
And the mortal with immortality.
When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable and the mortal with immortality.
Then the saying that is written will come true.
Death has been swallowed up in victory.
Where,
Oh death,
Is your victory?
Where,
Oh death,
Is your sting?
The sting of death is sin.
And the power of sin is the law.
But thanks be to God.
He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Therefore,
My brothers and sisters,
Stand firm.
Let nothing move you.
Always give yourself fully to the work of the Lord because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
Reflect on the words from Matthew 11 28.
Come to me,
All you who are weary and burdened,
And I will give you rest.
Come to me.
All you who are weary and burdened,
And I will give you rest.
Consider the depth of this invitation from Christ.
Inviting us to receive rest and renewal.
Think about the areas in your life where you need healing.
Perhaps there are physical ailments,
Emotional scars,
Or spiritual weariness.
Acknowledge each area.
Without judgment.
To simply imagine each issue as a layer you are peeling back.
Exposing it to the light of Christ's healing power.
And now shifting your awareness to your body.
We'll simply begin to scan from the crown of our head to the tips of our toes.
Inviting in more relaxation.
And their ability to let go.
And lean into God tonight.
So beginning at the crown of your head,
Notice any sensations here.
Warmth,
Tingling.
Or perhaps you just feel neutral.
Acknowledge whatever you feel without judgment.
And now.
Imagine a wave of relaxation slowly spreading from the top of your head downward.
Signaling each part of your body to release and soften.
Let your focus drift to your forehead.
Allow the skin here to smooth and relax as you release any expression lines.
Move your awareness to your eyes.
Let them rest comfortably in their sockets.
Feeling all the tiny muscles around them soften.
Continue this gentle wave of relaxation through your cheeks.
Now.
And jaw.
Encourage your jaw to slacken.
And feel this relaxation spread to your neck.
Easing any tightness in these areas.
Bring your attention to your shoulders.
A common area for holding stress.
Imagine a warm,
Comforting weight pressing gently down.
Pushing out tension.
And stress.
Melting it away.
Let this sensation flow down your arms,
From your shoulders to your elbows,
And from your elbows to your wrists.
Notice the relaxation seeping into your hands.
Filling each finger with a sense of peace and softness.
Now focus on your chest and upper back.
With each breath,
Feel more relaxed and open.
Allow the sense of calm to envelop your heart and spine.
Then gently guide this feeling of relaxation down to your abdomen and lower back.
Let these areas be completely at ease.
Softly rising and falling with your natural breath.
Free from any hold or tension.
Shift your awareness to your hips and pelvis.
Feel them heavy and relaxed.
Fully supported by the surface beneath you.
This relaxation moves into your thighs,
Knees,
And down through your calves,
Like a stream of calm flowing to your ankles and feet.
Take a moment to focus on each foot.
Relaxing the souls.
Each toe and the tops of your feet.
Imagine any remaining tension flowing out through the tips of your toes.
Now that you have attended to each part of your body.
Feel the collective peace and relaxation of your entire being.
Notice the harmony within you.
A gentle soothing quietude that envelops your whole self.
Rest here in this complete calm.
Every breath taking you deeper into relaxation.
And now envision a gentle radiant light descending from above.
Surrounding you in a warm,
Comforting glow.
This light represents God's healing presence.
See it touch the top of your head.
Slowly moving down your body.
As it does,
Imagine God's hand resting upon you.
Feel the warmth of his touch healing each part of your body that it covers.
As this light reaches areas of particular pain or stress,
Pause and let it linger.
Feeling the healing increase as God's power flows into you.
God.
As we gather our thoughts to focus on your presence.
Open our hearts to the gratitude that dwells within.
Help us to see your hand in every part of our day.
Recognizing every blessing as a gift from you.
Amen.
And quietly reflect on the words from 1 Thessalonians 5,
16-18.
Rejoice always.
Pray continually.
Give thanks in all circumstances.
For this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
Let these words echo in your mind.
Preparing your heart for a time of gratitude.
And think back on your day from the moment you woke up to this very moment.
Visualize each part of your day.
Noting instances where you felt joy.
Received help.
Or experience God's grace.
Maybe it was a smile from a stranger.
A delicious meal.
Or a moment of quiet amidst a busy schedule.
Recognize each of these as gifts and feel the warmth of gratitude grow in your heart.
And when you're ready,
Shift your awareness to your body.
Just noticing any tension or what you're feeling in this moment.
As you continue to breathe deeply,
Release any tension or tightness or discomfort.
That you find within your body.
Letting it go with each breath.
With each exhale.
Imagine each breath as a wave washing over you.
Leaving behind relaxation and warmth.
Take a deep breath in through your nose.
And slowly exhale through your mouth.
Again,
Inhale deeply.
Filling your lungs completely.
And as you exhale,
Release the weight of the day.
Everything that has happened today is already in God's hands.
The things that went well.
The things that didn't.
The things left undone.
Let it all go.
Feel yourself becoming lighter.
And burden.
Released.
First Peter 5-7 says,
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
Cast all your anxiety on Him,
Because He cares for you.
Let these words settle in your heart.
Whatever you've been carrying today,
Stress,
Worry,
Overthinking,
Expectation.
Surrender it all to God.
Breathe in peace.
You Breathe out the need to control.
Breathe and rest.
Breathe out exhaustion.
Breathe in trust.
Breathe out striving.
Now take a moment to reflect on God's faithfulness.
Even in the small things.
What moments of grace did you experience today?
What unexpected joys.
Where did you feel God's presence even in the ordinary?
Let gratitude rise in you,
Filling the spaces where worry used to live.
No matter what today held,
God is still good.
He is still for you,
And he is still in control.
Psalm 127-2 says,
The Lord gives sleep to those he loves.
The Lord gives sleep to those he loves.
You don't have to hold on to this day any longer.
Whisper this quietly to yourself.
Lord,
I release this day to you.
I rest in your peace.
I trust you with all that has been and all that is to come.
Lord,
I release this day to you.
I rest in your peace.
I trust you with all that has been.
And all that is to come.
As you prepare to enter sleep or simply step into a place of deeper rest.
Know that God is holding you.

His peace covers you.
You are safe.

I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.
Psalm 3 5.
I lie down and sleep.
I wake again because the Lord sustains me.
Inhale deeply.
Inviting the Holy Spirit into your being.
Exhale slowly.
Releasing any tension or concerns.
And let the presence of God surround you.
Open your heart to God's word and the peace that comes from prayer.
Psalm 23 verses 1 through 3 The Lord is my shepherd.
I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside quiet waters.
He refreshes my soul.
You Visualize yourself in the lush,
Green pastures beside calm,
Flowing waters.
Feel the restorative power of God's presence.
Philippians 4 verses 6 and 7 Do not be anxious about anything.
But in every situation.
By prayer and petition.
With Thanksgiving.

In Christ Jesus.

Ascending to the heavens.
As you surrender them to God in prayer.

Come to me,
All you who are weary and burdened.
And I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me.
For I am gentle and humble in heart.
And you will find rest for your souls.
Imagine Jesus inviting you to lay your burdens at his feet.
Finding rest in his loving embrace.
Let's enter into a moment of silent prayer.
Speak to God from your heart,
Sharing your joys,
Concerns,
And gratitude.
Feel the connection strengthening you as you communicate with your Heavenly Father.
Heavenly Father.
We come before you with open hearts.
Seeking the peace that surpasses all understanding.
We lay our burdens at your feet.
Trusting in your promises of rest and renewal.
Thank you for being our shepherd,
Guiding us besides still waters and refreshing our souls.
Lord Jesus,
As we reflect on your invitation to find rest in you,
We surrender our weariness and anxieties.
Your yoke is gentle and we willingly take it upon ourselves,
Finding solace in your humble and loving presence.
Holy Spirit,
Fill this sacred space with your divine energy.
As we continue this journey,
May your peace guard our hearts and minds.
Bringing serenity to every aspect of our being.
Visualize yourself in a beautiful garden.
Surrounded by the fragrance of blooming flowers.
As you walk through this serene landscape.
Imagine Jesus walking beside you.
Offering words of comfort and guidance.
Feel the peace that comes from being in his presence.

You will keep in perfect peace those whose mind are steadfast because they trust in you.

Anchored in trust and faith as God's perfect peace envelops you.
John 14,
27.
Peace I leave you.
My peace I give you.
I do not give to you as the world gives.
Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
Sense the gift of peace Jesus offers.
A piece that transcends worldly concerns.
Psalm 48 In peace,
I will lie down and sleep.
For you alone.
Lord,
Make me dwell in safety.
Picture yourself lying down in perfect peace.
Surrounded by the safety of God's loving presence.

For the peace he provides.
Offer your prayers for loved ones,
For the world.
And for any specific concerns on your heart.
Allow the divine peace to fill you as you continue in silent prayer.
Imagine now that you are standing on the shores of a calm,
Reflective lake.
The moon is shining above.
Casting a gentle glow on the water's surface.
In this serene moment.
Feel the tranquility of God's peace washing over you.
Heavenly Father.
As we conclude this guided sleep meditation,
We thank you.
For the gift of your word and the power of prayer.
May the peace that surpasses all understanding guard our hearts and minds through the night.
We entrust our rest into your loving hands.
Confident that you are our refuge and strength.
In Jesus' name we pray.
