Welcome,
Beautiful soul,
To your nervous system reset meditation.
You've arrived in a space of deep care where your nervous system can rest,
Your energy can release what's no longer needed,
And your entire being can reset.
Let's begin by finding a comfortable position,
Whether seated or lying down.
You can stay awake or fall asleep as the subconscious will do all the work for you.
I invite you to close your eyes gently.
Just let your body soften.
Just breathing and relaxing as you let this time be just for you.
Take a nice,
Slow breath in through the nose and a long,
Gentle exhale out the mouth.
Let's do that again.
Inhale through the nose.
One more time,
I invite you to breathe in through the nose.
And on this exhale,
We're going to sigh it out.
You are safe here.
You are supported.
You are home.
Let us begin to bring awareness down to the base of your spine and imagine roots gently growing from your body,
Extending into the earth below you.
These roots are strong,
Steady,
And nourishing.
With each exhale,
Allow your body to let go,
Let go of tension,
Letting go of energy that no longer serves you.
All of this goes down the roots into the earth where it is recycled.
As you breathe,
Repeat silently aloud or aloud,
I release what no longer belongs to me.
I clear the energy that's not mine to hold.
Breathe in and breathe out as you visualize a gentle wave of golden light moving from the crown of your head,
Slowly washing down your body,
Clearing stagnant energy as it does.
It travels through your jaw,
Through your throat,
Through your chest,
Down your arms,
Through your belly,
Through your hips and your legs,
All the way down to the soles of your feet.
This clearing energy comes down through the whole body.
Feel that old energy draining out effortlessly,
Like water down a stream.
You are cleansing.
You are releasing.
You are creating space.
Now,
Bringing awareness to your heart.
You can place your hand over your chest if that feels supportive.
Breathe into your heart center and imagine a warm,
Soft light expanding here like a gentle sunrise within you.
And with each breath,
Say to yourself,
It is safe to be here.
My nervous system is allowed to soften.
I am wrapped in care.
Feel this light wrapping around your entire body like a warm,
Weighted blanket.
This is the nervous system's medicine,
Safety,
Comfort,
And deep presence.
Now,
Gently bring your attention to your spine.
Visualize your spine softening with every breath,
Unwinding the years of tension and bracing.
You can picture,
Connect with your vagus nerve and invite it to just rest.
The vagus nerve runs from the back of your skull,
Top of your head,
Down all the way to your sacrum.
Just tell it now,
You can rest.
Invite your jaw to unclench,
Taking note of any tension within the jaw or the face,
Maybe opening the jaw,
Letting the tongue drop down from the roof of the mouth,
Dropping the jaw open again,
Allowing space for any emotions that may come forward,
Letting your shoulders drop,
Letting the tension roll down your back through the roots into the earth.
There is nothing to do in this moment,
Nowhere to go,
Just being,
Just breathing.
I invite you to sit with this visualization of the vagus nerve,
Just connecting with the vagus,
Opening up the lines of communication so you can understand what it needs and it can understand what you need.
Take a few moments now just to be with the body.
From this place of grounded safety,
We begin to expand,
Bring your attention to your belly and solar plexus,
Imagine a soft pulsing outward from the center of your body.
This is your life force.
Now cleared,
Now free.
Your nervous system isn't just regulated,
It's expansive.
You have space to feel,
To live,
To thrive.
Breathing into this expansion,
And you can say these words to yourself,
I am open to healing.
My nervous system is capable of spaciousness and joy.
Visualize your body surrounded by light that extends beyond you like a soft cocoon.
This light holds your boundaries.
This light honors your energy.
See your nervous system as a luminous web radiating calm,
Strength,
And flexibility.
It is alive.
It is adaptable.
It is yours.
Feel that expansion radiating out throughout the whole body.
Breathe into it.
As we begin to close this meditation,
I invite you to take a moment to place one hand on your heart and one on your belly.
Feel the rise and fall,
The steadiness,
The simplicity of being here now.
And gently repeat,
I am safe.
I am clear.
I am home within myself.
I am safe.
I am clear.
I am home within myself.
Breathing deeply as you bring awareness back to your body,
Back through your fingers and toes as you stretch.
Release and exhale.
Exhale as you come into this awareness.
And whenever you're ready,
You can gently open your eyes.
And as you come back,
You know you are not the same person as when you began.
You have reset your nervous system.
You are restored.
And you are held by your breath,
By your body,
By your own inner sanctuary.
