Welcome,

Dear souls.

My name is Valerie Lundgren with Mindful Wellness.

Today I invite you to join me as we bring ourselves through this beautiful yoga nidra for nervous system healing.

There will be beautiful affirmations throughout and at the end to help bring this healing deeper within the body.

I invite you to find a comfortable position,

Lying down,

Placing your arms by your side.

As you settle in,

Just check,

Do I need an eye mask or a blanket or a bolster for support?

Lying with your palms facing up,

Closing your eyes and taking a deep breath in,

Feel your body being supported by the ground beneath you.

With each breath,

Let your muscles soften and your bones become heavy and your whole being surrendering into rest.

As we bring this restfulness into our space,

I invite you to silently set your sankalpa with your heart's intention for this practice.

My nervous system is safe to rest,

Repair,

And heal.

I am open to calm,

Peace,

And balance.

We will now bring awareness through the body.

Let attention rest lightly,

Just noticing and releasing.

Bringing awareness now to the right hand thumb,

Middle finger,

Palm of the hand,

Forearm,

Your upper arm,

Your shoulder,

To the right side of the chest,

Your right hip,

Your right thigh,

The sole of the foot,

The top of the foot,

Your big toe,

Your index toe,

Bringing awareness into the left index finger,

The middle finger,

The palm of your left hand,

The right foot,

The upper arm,

Your left shoulder,

The left side of the chest,

Your waist,

The left ankle,

Your big toe,

To the whole right side of the body,

The whole left side of the body,

The whole body together,

Resting and at peace.

Every cell of my body is releasing stress and receiving calm.

My whole system is healing in this moment.

I am just breathing now,

Noticing the breath,

Noticing the belly rising on the inhale and falling on the exhale,

And then start again.

If you lose track,

Gently return to one.

As you breathe,

Imagine the inhale filling you with golden calmness.

You may repeat these affirmations through your mind as you breathe.

With every inhale,

I invite calm into my body.

With every exhale,

I release what I am.

My breath restores balance to my nervous system,

Glowing at the center of your chest.

With every breath,

This light expands,

Flowing through your body like liquid sunlight.

Reaching each nerve and soothing.

Imagine it bathing your brain and calming your thoughts.

Flowing down your arms and legs,

Melting away tension.

Your whole nervous system is wrapped up in this healing light.

Soft,

Safe,

And balanced.

My nervous system knows how to heal.

Peace flows through me like light.

I allow myself to rest deeply.

Imagine yourself lying in a calm place in nature.

Perhaps a meadow,

A forest,

Or a gentle water.

Feel the earth supporting you.

The ground is absorbing any stress,

Fear,

Or stored tension.

You do not need to carry what isn't yours anymore.

You can recycle it into peace.

Breathing and releasing into the earth.

I release all that no longer serves me.

I am not defined by my past stress or pain.

I am free to live with ease.

Rest is my birthright.

Repeat and let these truths sink deeply into your subconscious mind.

My body is healing.

My nervous system is in balance.

I choose peace,

Ease,

And rest.

My body is healing.

My nervous system is in balance.

I choose peace,

Ease,

And rest.

Repeat each phrase like a gentle mantra,

Allowing them to echo through every cell of your being.

Slowly return awareness to your breath.

Notice the inhale and the exhale.

Wiggle your fingers and toes gently.

When you're ready,

Taking a deeper breath in.

Gently open your eyes.

And carry with you the calm,

Safety,

And healing you cultivated here.

Your nervous system remembers this state.

And we can return here at any time.

Stating this affirmation to yourself today.

I walk through life calm,

Grounded,

And at peace.
