Hi,
I'm Chantal van der Hagen,
An Akashic Record Reader and Psychotherapist.
Welcome to this end of day meditation.
Today I'd like to guide you through how to end your day effectively,
To be able to release yourself from any tensions of the day,
To be able to be fully present for the evening with your family.
Let's begin by becoming present in your beautiful and quiet room by focusing on your breath.
Gently inhaling,
Gently exhaling.
There is nothing you can do right now but be present and letting go of your day.
With each breath out,
Feeling yourself relax deeper and deeper into your body,
Melting into the floor,
Bed or your chair.
Slowly beginning to feel the day wash away from you and enjoying this moment of not doing,
Not rushing,
Simply being.
It is a relief relaxing with nowhere to go,
Nowhere to be or any commitments to fulfil.
In this beautiful quiet space with no external noise,
Just you and yourself,
Quiet,
Relaxing and present.
With each inhalation,
Feeling yourself easing further and further into this beautiful space,
Into the darkness of the evening,
Feeling it enveloping you,
Embracing you,
Calming you.
No one needs to know what you're doing.
No one is making demands on you right at this minute.
Feel the bliss wash over you,
Absorbing it into your body,
Into your being.
Softly inhaling and softly exhaling.
Now take the focus to the top of your head and slowly scanning your body,
Bringing your energies down to your feet.
This will help with any agitation you may still be feeling.
Over the next couple of moments,
Gently taking your attention all the way down your body and as you do so,
Feeling any leftover tension dissipating,
Feeling your muscles relaxing,
Your face softening,
Feeling beautifully relaxed and blissed out.
As you do so,
Check any distractions that may still be occurring,
Like unwanted thoughts,
Little niggles that make you want to move.
Allow them to come,
Allow them to go.
Acknowledge anything that may come up,
Accept them and release them on your outbreath.
There's no resistance required,
Just acquiescence,
Just simply being here and present.
Now that you're present,
Let's take a look at your day in this calm state.
Starting from the end of the day,
Going back to the beginning.
Like with the body scan,
Start from the top,
From the beginning.
Going back through your day without attachment.
Looking at what you achieved,
What you didn't achieve,
What could you have done differently.
And do this without judgement,
Without criticism.
Simply slowly going back through your day,
Acknowledging,
Accepting,
Accepting what has happened,
What did not happen and releasing as you exhale.
Still be aware of any agitation that may be arising as you think of these events,
Any emotional charges that may take you away from this blissful state you're now in.
Again tuning in,
Are you feeling discouraged,
Upset,
On edge?
Just simply observing,
Why did I do that?
Why did I say that?
What will they think of me?
Inhale,
Exhale and release.
And now tuning in,
Are you feeling excited,
Delighted,
Over the moon about something that happened?
Did you enjoy your day?
If so,
Acknowledge how you're feeling and then also let it go.
It's about learning not to dwell on things,
Remembering it is what it is.
What can I learn from what happened?
How could I do it differently?
And for the next few moments just letting your mind wander with all these new possibilities and different emotions.
If you find yourself being distracted,
Come back to your breath.
Inhaling,
Exhaling.
It may be worth scanning your body again,
Starting from the top of your head,
Slowly and effortlessly working all the way down your body.
It is only in this stillness that you can reflect and visualise the changes you want to make and be.
It gives you time to let go,
To trust yourself,
To then be able to relax and fall asleep,
Knowing when you wake up refreshed,
You can make any changes you want and the way you want.
Just for the next few moments simply being with what is,
Enjoying this space that you've created.
Remembering tomorrow is another day with new possibilities,
New opportunities,
New possibilities,
And a new way of doing things.
And take a couple of deep breaths now as we prepare to come to the end of the meditation.
Simply bringing yourself back into the present moment,
Gently opening your eyes,
Stretching,
Getting ready for a beautiful deep sleep.
You may wish to stay like this for a few more moments.
Enjoy if you do so.
Namaste.
