
Are You Stuck Behind a Rubbish Truck?

You you you you Hello,
I hope you can hear me We continue with the daily setting today slightly delayed Wonderful day.
It's very symbolic and we were caught in a bit of a situation and a rubbish truck It's very symbolic to be caught by a rubbish truck,
And I thought how appropriate because I was thinking of this interesting year as we come towards the end of 2016 It seems just like yesterday that it started like you know when you look back January seemed like a few days ago Seems at least to me seems to many people and wondering about the highlights of 2016 as I was caught behind the rubbish truck two very contradictory situations that speak symbolically and I thought 2016 is a funny year really.
It's been a very funny year.
It's been a year of dramatics ups and downs and all sorts of challenging situations Not just for oneself of course many people have felt these challenges But also for the world as as a place that we share together We see the best and sometimes the worst behavior manifested due to these challenges Anyway of course You know this is the world some people may be asking What has this got to do with meditation?
I'm just wanting to go back to my bubble and recover from all these challenges and get better.
I don't want to know more about the world but Sometimes the world throws at you Or Shows you very clearly that there are certain things that need your attention and that attention is not just To internalize your awareness so that you're more aware of what is going on for you as an individual but also to externalize your awareness meaning that you just be aware of the space of the place that we share together and as a species as an ecology of life and what that sharing truly means So the external awareness is not negating the internal awareness,
But just connecting the internal with the external because sometimes when we sit in meditation for a long time or when we work on our problems or challenges It seems like everything else disappears out of the picture and we're in that little world.
You know the challenge is my world What?
Something happening out there?
I don't know anything about it.
I've been too caught up in my little thing Well not caught up.
I've been too busy with my little thing And it is little see and this is why I mentioned the rubbish truck because the world 2016 has been a funny year hasn't it really if you look at it It's almost like we need more rubbish trucks To you know clean up all the debris of these challenges that have been out and about Pushing people's buttons or really creating stress and anxiety for the world.
Today I heard that someone was saying because one of the things that we are sharing together as Ecosystem as as life we're sharing together just the the capacity for the earth to sustain itself as We continue to go down this road which we call civilization which we call evolution which we call Trying to make things better for ourselves of course But hopefully also for the world trying to make a difference so that the world is a beautiful place as it always has been But I heard someone today,
You know speak in that way where one wonders if such a thought is just a Little bit of a dream or a little bit wishful thinking,
You know when you hear people speak about climate change What's all that about?
That's just a fantasy and you know when you when people begin to not realize The fundamentals of what is going on either within themselves or in the world when they deny or just can't see for whatever reason the reality as it is and Begin to fantasize I call it fantasize or imagine the world from a perspective that is Conceptual meaning that you've created this idea that there is no climate change you know,
That's an idea in someone's head and you build up on that reality and you sort of You build up on that reality and you sort of justify it with all sorts of other thoughts that are out there But you're not in touch with What is going on?
The earth and the information that the earth is transmitting to all and everyone we're not in touch with our own bodies which is the receptor that allows for that information to be Communicated so that we we can comprehend that message that the earth is transmitting to Everyone to all life not just to human beings,
But to all life if we negate those messages and those communications Whether they be our bodies speaking to us Saying look You need to listen now and we only wait until the bodies reach such a stage where They're not able to function anymore because we've not listened for such a long time a little bit like the earth today You know the earth is sending clear communications in to not just to humanity but to all aspects of its creation that there is there is a Fragile situation that needs our attention and if we are so caught in our heads and the thoughts that oh no,
There is nothing wrong There is nothing wrong Just like the person who is perhaps stressed and working um Very busy workaholic say i'm very busy Nothing wrong with being a workaholic if you you know,
If you're enjoying what you're doing But if you're pushing yourself and the body's saying oh you need to listen Listen don't know anything about such a language.
I'm not even part of that language not in touch with my body You know,
Have you seen those?
Business people who are rushing around doing whatever it is and They're on adrenaline every day adrenaline,
You know and cortisol and all sorts of hormones that keeps the momentum going and They just don't know what it's like to relax because that's not part of their life and they can't relax because if they're so addicted to that way of functioning that Relaxation seems like an alien thing to put into practice or relax Weekend and then they go on their holidays and they're on their mobile phone and you know They're doing all sorts of entertainments to keep that adrenaline going.
It's almost as if this addiction Is the case with the way that we treat the world the way that we treat each other the way that we communicate to various aspects of our manifestation Or not communicate to various aspects of our manifestation.
We forget we don't see we're blinded by the fact That the mind creates its own reality and we believe that reality to be real That's the funny thing.
Well,
It's not so funny because it creates destructive and negative patterns Negative patterns that then create destruction.
So if we don't see the situation for what it is because we're not listening to the communication that's happening in this moment Whether it be your own body Your emotional life your physical life your mental Thoughts the thoughts that you have or whether it be just the situations around you Then there is imbalance and that imbalance becomes And that imbalance becomes destructive and creates negative patterns of behavior Those negative patterns of behavior may seem to you to be positive And you may believe them to be positive But the problem is they're out of touch with reality.
They're out of touch with The communication that's happening You know,
It's like listening to two people speaking But they're they're actually not listening to one another they're just speaking what's on their mind And they don't even actually take time to listen to the information the communication that's being transmitted Have you seen these situations?
Perhaps in family constellations And that's where it's most common You know,
We we have an idea of the person because we've known the person for I don't know 10 20 30 40 years so our mind doesn't even begin to Be more present to the person because we're present to the picture that we have of the person so There we go communicating thinking that all Is fine because we're communicating but we're not Even able to communicate our own families sometimes because the picture that we have The picture that we have is the reality that creates the momentum and it comes from your thinking Or the thoughts or the belief systems that you have rather than from how you feel How you truly feel this is why people even in relationships.
It's incredible people will speak to each other,
But they Are not actually saying anything to each other.
They're not touching That which can be felt in the moment rather.
They're just speaking words.
Oh,
I feel bad Oh,
I feel good.
I feel this I feel that but it's nothing about feeling it's just the mental concept that is stuck in one's head that's being communicated and we Justify it as a feeling I feel bad.
Do I?
Yeah,
I do because my mind says I feel bad.
So I must feel bad Oh,
Let me hold on to that bad feeling And then you think about all the bad things of the past and all the bad things that could happen in the future Oh,
There you go That's why i'm feeling what i'm feeling Oh And then you continue your communication.
You're not listening at all because you're you're too busy Connected to the communication that's happening in your mind Yeah,
You have to listen.
Okay,
That feeling.
Yeah.
Yeah,
Exactly.
That's exactly and but you're not listening to the person You're not listening to your partner.
You're listening to The mental flow of communication the energy is moving down from your head down into your heart but that's destructive behavior because the way of communication is The energy moving from your heart up to your head so You take a moment To just recognize how do I truly feel?
Not my reactive process because the person isn't listening to me or that picture that I believe that person to be is again Presenting itself in the same way and I knew it.
I knew it.
I knew it would be like this.
So then I react and All of a sudden we have the world Look at the world.
That's exactly what everyone's doing.
So it's normal so you don't even think it's abnormal because everyone's doing that and Everyone's doing that and my family did it and my teachers did it and I learned how to do it And so there I am,
You know doing what everyone does.
So What else can there be?
Oh tony speaks about the heart,
But you know,
That's a mystical lovely thing that you know one day I'll get there,
But I don't really understand anything that he's saying Mystics have spoken about it,
But you know,
That's sometime in history,
You know now we live in the you know,
It's real This is the world,
You know too busy to think about those communications They don't mean anything in the modern Version of our world,
You know,
It's fine when you sat up in the mountain and you had time to dwell on how you felt But today we're too busy Today we're less busy than we were before.
Let me let you know that just Think about it,
You know,
I remember my grandmother,
You know being told about my grandmother and my great-grandmother and you know,
They had to spend time doing things that today we just press a button for Supposedly to save us on time.
And what do we do with our time?
We're busy With our brain sending messages from the head down to the heart At least if we didn't have this time,
We would be forced to really be practical Rather than so caught up in our face and profile or Twitter profile or whatever social media information that we spend hours addicted to Addicted to Just to create a sense of self-worth to create a sense of Oh,
I understand how I feel now because there I go Reading someone's profile and that makes me feel better that makes me feel All connected to the world,
But we're so disconnected because we're not connected to our own hearts.
What?
Happens in a relationship when there is no communication.
There is loneliness There is a sense of I'm alone I'm not connected.
No one understands.
No one comprehends.
No one understands my feelings Then we go onto Facebook just to make sure that oh that's a bit too much to feel at this moment So let me feel better and go back into my mental Addiction to make sure that the feeling isn't really felt at all so that I'm Create a bubble around that sort of pain Where I'll feel this aloneness,
But that feeling is the communication If you don't address it and you sort of drift into another concept in your brain then you're avoiding the real communication You're sort of negating that which is what your heart is saying in the moment and saying that's not good enough That's not the sort of communication I want so I'll find it on Facebook.
I'll find it on Some other internet site or I'll find it on Outside of myself,
You know,
You can't communicate to me properly So let me find someone else who understands what I have to say,
But no one can understand anyone because we live In a place I call the Tower of Babel.
We're all speaking but no one's listening No one's heart is receptive to the information that is there So the information is what a lonely place this world has become Yeah,
We're all so busy doing our own little thing living in our own mental concept of reality that we don't even extend our communication beyond just those mental concepts our heart is has forgotten how to communicate so Can you imagine to say to someone instead of reacting I'm the problem In this moment,
Say you're in a relationship,
The problem in this moment is that we are too lonely.
We live in our little worlds in our little Imaginary worlds and we can't really we have no place to meet so then the logical deductive mind comes up with a great plan We're lonely.
So let us meet and you can meet in many ways Yeah,
It doesn't mean you have to go to this sort of workshop Anti-loneliness workshop or I don't know if you want to spice it up a bit sexual Exploration workshop or whatever People do all these that's again jumping into your mental concept or how to be this or how to be that You don't have to be anything If you are touching the communication within your heart you're touching the Communication that also allows you to receive the wisdom that's within the communication.
So You don't need to do anything.
You just need to remember that by being yourself By being acknowledging that okay,
You are lonely acknowledging that aspect of yourself then Already you're being real And communication can only happen when you are real not when you're caught in your mind playing those games pretending Creating all these sort of egoic pictures of yourself read people's Facebook profile They all like super women and supermen Wow is everyone so perfect gosh Then you meet them in person is that the same person dear big discrepancy there Because we all have to be perfect so you know we don't want to feel the imperfection that our hearts transmits in the moment Look,
This is who you are But that's what makes us human That's what can create the bridge that allows for that human perspective to be part of life to remember Okay This is who I am and then for the person your partner your friend or whoever to remember Okay,
That's reality.
So I address reality from Also a real perspective within myself from within my heart So then the bridge that connects heart to heart the heartfelt communication that is missing in people's communication today,
But also in the world today is strengthened That is what meditation is about.
It's about coming back to the core aspect of this moment rather than pretending Which in psychology psychiatry today has been investigated as the major Problem of the world that we're all lying to ourselves We're all pretending and that pretense means that a part of The brain where the neurons accumulate called the amygdala becomes very Unaware of what the heart is communicating because its sensitivity is no longer there Its receptivity is no longer there because we are so addicted to communicating from a space of Adrenaline from a space of I need the next exciting thing.
I need more entertainment I need I desire more and then we take that more from all around including the earth and we're never satisfied Because we're never in touch with how we feel So today in your practice Remember this every time you desire more every time you need another thing and every time you sort of feel and sense and become aware of Games being played out within yourself or even within the constellation that you find yourself in you take the first step you Listen to your heart you open yourself to the message that's being communicated rather than expect the outer world to satisfy that need Because if that is what you expect Remember then it is a mental concept that is communicating to yourself and to the world rather than your heart because your heart carries no expectations your heart just gives And the more you give the more you receive In meditation You give yourself to this moment this moment becomes abundant with potentiality You give yourself to your breath the breath Relaxes and expands and becomes a bridge that connects you to your body that Connects you to your mind that connects you to the space to the energy within the space as you give yourself to deeper Relaxation your body heals comes back to a state of equilibrium as you give yourself to the space the earth Communicates to you its wisdoms And every step that you take from this wise more conscious space becomes an affirmation of The beauty the joy the happiness the bliss that is life Breathing in and breathing out Letting go Relaxing Coming back to stillness As you continue In stillness In presence in a state of greater awareness We continue with the Hu meditation You You You You You You
