When we get in tune with the Moon, we stop pushing water uphill and go along with the cosmic flow. For more on how to sync with natural time, check out my course on the app called Living Timefully. Photo by Michael on Unsplash

Transcript

Our Moon is the closest astronomical body to us.

As a result,

It's no surprise that its gravitational pull has a big effect on what goes on down on planet Earth.

It's largely responsible for creating the tides and also stirs up the molten core of the Earth,

So probably has an influence on plate tectonics and even earthquakes.

As the Moon orbits the Earth,

The surface of the Earth rises up by about 6 feet or so,

So you could say that the Earth breathes in and out every 29 days.

More subtly,

Between New Moon and Full Moon,

The Moon lags behind the Earth in its orbit,

And from Full Moon to New Moon,

It is ahead of the Earth in space.

As a result,

The Earth slows down and speeds up slightly in its orbit around the Sun depending on the Moon phase.

The banker and philanthropist J.

P.

Morgan was quoted to have said,

Millionaires don't use astrology,

But billionaires do.

These days,

Many vintners are planting in tune with the Moon.

Savvy stockbrokers invest in tune with the Moon.

And more pleas are placed on duty around Full Moons.

Apparently it's true that the lunatics metaphorically come out of the asylum around this time.

The Moon orbits the Earth 13 times every year,

And we can use its position to modulate and time our activities so they have more chance of success.

Note that some people refer to a lunar orbit as a moonth.

Note too that as thoughts become things,

It is somewhat academic if the Moon directly affects our consciousness,

Or whether thinking that it does is what makes the difference.

So breathe in,

And breathe down.

So first,

You will need to know what phase the Moon is in.

You can do this by doing a search online,

Or getting one of the many free Moonphase apps for your smartphone or tablet.

You can,

Of course,

Just look up on a cloudless night,

And if you don't see it,

There's a good chance that it's a New Moon.

From New Moon to Full Moon,

As the Earth slows down in space,

This is a good time for reflecting and planning.

Then from Full Moon through to New Moon,

It's time to take action,

And to move forward with gusto as the Earth speeds up going around the Sun.

We can save loads of time by going with the gravitational flow and stopping pushing water uphill.
