This we know.
All things are connected.
Whatever befalls the earth,
Befalls the daughters and sons of the earth.
Times,
They certainly are a-changing.
Humans did not weave the rich web of life,
They are merely a strand on it.
All that's needed is love,
And money alone cannot buy it for you.
The universe is fully conscious,
With serendipity hardwired into its fabric.
There are no coincidences.
All things are connected.
This we know.
We know this too.
In the time it takes you to listen to this meditation.
Right over the planet around a thousand people will take their last breath.
And around two and a half thousand new souls will take their first breath and require feeding.
And each of these new souls will be born into the illusion that everything is separate.
When the opposite is true,
As this we know,
All is connected.
And we know this too.
At any one time on planet earth,
Around two billion people are sleeping.
And we also know that we dream for around half our sleep time.
So that means at any one time around one billion people are dreaming.
But it also means that over five billion people at any one time are awake.
But just muse on this.
How many of those five billion people are in some sort of waking dream?
We also know that the ground under our feet is moving around a thousand miles an hour.
And every hour,
Spaceship earth moves around 67,
000 miles in its orbit around the sun.
And together on this special planet we call home,
We travel around half a billion miles together every year.
But despite this rapid motion through space and time,
Some people are standing still.
Some people are even going backwards.
When all the time it's much easier if we all travel together forwards.
And we know this too.
Truth is only a measure of how well what we observe fits our personal model of how things work.
So we want our truth to expand.
All we have to do is change our personal model.
Is there a world out there that we're observing from the inside?
Or is that world a projection of what is going on inside our minds?
We know this,
That we may never know which of those is true.
But what we do know is that by exploring both of them,
Our personal model and our truth can expand.
And we can also know for sure that we don't know something.
Whereas we don't know for sure that we absolutely know something for sure.
If there are two things we really do know,
They are these.
Firstly,
Once we think we know everything,
We stop learning.
Secondly,
We know exponentially more now than we used to know.
Therefore there is undoubtedly exponentially more still to know.
A wise person once said,
Do not cross a chasm in two leaps.
If we are to cross a chasm,
A great way to do it is to build a bridge.
So just imagine on one side of a deep gorge is the way that we used to be.
And on the other side is the way that we could be.
And just imagine this,
That the way to build that bridge is to get everyone on one side of the chasm to start meditating every single day.
And automatically the bridge will build itself and everybody can get across to the other side.
And we know this too,
That many aspects of the world around us are less than ideal.
We also think that we know that it is down to somebody else to make that change and to build that bridge.
But what if each of us was the bridge builder?
What if the change starts with you and me right now?
And we know this too.
In around 110,
120 years time,
Each of those two and a half thousand new mouths that started to breathe while you listened to this meditation won't be around.
In just over 100 years time there will be all new people.
And the world that we enjoy today is based on the imaginations and the endeavours of our ancestors 100 years ago.
So what knowledge can you bring to bear right now?
To leave as a legacy and a gift for those that will come after us in 100 years time.
This we know,
All things are connected,
Not only in space but also in time.
