The Magician card from the Major Arcana of the Tarot gives many clues and insights as to our role as connectors from the above to the below.
Above his head is the symbol of infinity.
We should be mindful that our imagination is only limited by infinity.
That gives a lot of scope for imagineering.
In his right hand he holds a rod.
This is the connector to the above.
As you will discover in this guided meditation,
Our spine can also act as this rod.
The index finger of his left hand points to the earth.
If you draw an imaginary line between the right and left hand,
It doesn't pass through the Magician's head,
But through his heart.
This is the connection point between the above and the below.
The square table to his right has a sword,
A wand,
A cup and a coin with a pentacle inscribed upon it.
And these represent the four elements of fire,
Air,
Water and earth.
A true Magician is a master at controlling and manipulating all four elements.
Indeed the true skill of any sorceress or sorcerer is in channeling from source right down to the earth plane.
So fire represents the source plane of ideas.
Air represents the plane of creation.
This contains all the possibilities afforded by any idea.
Water represents the plane of fluidity.
This is where we form a plan to bring the idea into reality.
Then the earth plane is where the idea becomes manifest.
When we follow this sequence our ideas have much more chance of coming into fruition.
The Cascade of Creativity describes this path of a seed idea leading to the creativity of all possibilities and then into forming a plan using the dimension of time followed by what is called Right Action.
We can use the breath to initiate this Cascade of Creativity.
This is best done sitting down with your spine straight.
Now lift your right arm above your head and point your index finger to the sky or ceiling.
Let your left hand drop to your side and point the index finger of your left hand to the floor.
Now just imagine the in-breath starts at the base of your spine and goes up the outside of your back to the top of your head.
Then imagine the out-breath flows back down your spine on the inside of your body.
Just repeat that breathing pattern for five in- and out-breaths,
But do rest your arms at any time if they feel heavy.
If you haven't already,
Just allow your arms to rest gently on your laps.
Now imagine there is a translucent patch at the top of your head where ideas can float in and sit for the next minute or so and become mindful of the in-breath and the out-breath and most significantly the points between the in and the out and the out and in-breaths.
These are the times when ideas float into our awareness.
So well done.
If an idea came in,
Or if you are working with an idea or opportunity at the moment,
Many different types of thought forms can be milling around in your neurology.
For example,
Your head might be awash with all the opportunities and possible spin-offs the idea gives you.
In your lower mind-centres,
The sacral and solar plexus,
You may be harbouring fears or worries about the idea.
What if someone does it before you?
What if you don't have the resources to capitalise fully on the idea?
What if people don't appreciate it or have a need for the idea?
So just imagine this.
Allow all the positive thoughts racing around your head to coalesce at the very centre of your brain and imagine they float down past your neck and sit at the bottom of your rib cage in the heart centre.
Now allow any fears to float up from your lower mind-centres and also sit in the heart centre.
Allow both sets of thoughts,
Both positive and not so positive,
To mix,
Mingle and counteract each other.
Just sit and be one with the idea for a while.
Now imagine a point in the future where the idea does become manifest.
What impact might it have on the world,
On your family and for you?
Allow that notion to sit in your heart.
Now touch the pads lightly of your thumb and middle fingers on each hand and turn your palms upwards to receive.
What resources,
In terms of time,
Money and people,
Do you need to make the idea become manifest?
And until the music fades,
Ease into the flow of the cascade of creativity and optionally you can recite the mantra internally or externally of Mona OHA,
That's M-O-N-A,
Mona,
And O-H-A,
OHA,
With Mona on the out-breath and OHA on the in-breath.
Be at one at your centre and pivot point between the above and the below.
