Let's begin this meditation by taking a couple of deeper cleansing breaths that will take us into our body.
See for yourself if you feel at ease,
If you feel relaxed.
Just ask your body what it needs right now to drop in,
To move away from the habitual tension.
Perhaps it means that you will need to drop your shoulders away from your ears,
Relax your jaw,
Or like in my own case,
To take a deeper breath,
Release the tension that is in my stomach.
And that's a good starting point for recognizing that we are part of human condition.
We incarnated into this existence so we can experience what it is to be human.
And as a result,
We experience suffering.
We experience suffering not because we are bad,
Not because we did not achieve enough.
We experience suffering because we are humans.
The suffering that you feel right now in the form of a tension in your body,
The pesky thought that comes to your mind is not a result of any wrongdoing.
It is absolutely normal and natural state of being that indicates a simple truth that you exist as a human being.
And in this very moment,
I'd like you to recognize this is not personal.
This is a state that we all share.
All of us who meditate here together and every single person on this planet share the condition of suffering at one time or another.
This is not a condition that needs to be changed or fixed or eradicated.
This is condition that we all share and condition that brings us together.
And paradoxically,
That common suffering acts as a springboard to experience joy and fulfillment of life.
So,
If you,
In this very moment,
Feel at any level of your mind or body that you are not enough,
That you suffer,
Give yourself a pat on the shoulder and say,
This is normal.
This is part of who I am.
Even as you suffer,
You are enough,
You are loved and you are in the right place.
So I will hold a space for all of us right now and I will ask you to do the same as we sit in silence considering our own individual condition.
Recognize you are not alone,
You are doing it not only on your own behalf but also on the behalf of the entire community that gathers in this meditation,
In that shared space,
Sharing common condition that does not define you,
Does not define us,
Simply is part of our human experience.
And now I'll give you a minute to sit in silence and I'll bring you back when the time is up.
And now,
To conclude this short period of exploration and togetherness,
I want you once again to express gratitude for simply being here,
For existing as the only condition of you being enough.
Nothing else is needed.
The proof of existence is the only condition.
