Hello and welcome to this meditation designed to help alleviate your feelings of loneliness.
If you have ever felt lost in loneliness,
Then you know how difficult it is to shake this feeling.
But luckily,
When you combine desire with dedication,
Amazing changes can occur in your life.
Daily meditation is simple yet powerful,
And implementing a task and sticking to it is how we make our habits.
Loneliness is simply a feeling that's become a habit.
It cannot be cured by any external means.
And your life can be full of many people,
But you still feel lonely.
You could also have no friends and feel lonesome.
You could be completely alone and feel lonely.
And as you see,
It is simply a thought of separation that creates the feeling of loneliness.
And this can have a never-ending circle effect until you change your focus.
So go ahead and find a comfortable position and make sure you will not be disturbed during this meditation.
Let's begin by acknowledging the person who needs you the most.
You'll find this person when you look into a mirror.
So say to yourself now,
Thank you for this moment,
For this opportunity.
And give yourself now the time to breathe your very best breath,
Paying attention to yourself and your needs.
For most of us,
We go our entire lives without even thinking about our breath.
And yet it's the very thing that keeps us alive in every moment.
Your breath has been there for you since the beginning,
Fitting to each moment exactly as you need.
Your breath never asks you questions and it never judges you.
It simply does what's required instantaneously.
So let's honor our breath now and all that's been doing for us with five significant and purposeful breaths together.
One,
Fully inhale,
Expanding your belly and your chest as much as you can,
Holding it for a moment.
And exhale,
Feeling a wave of relaxation sweep over you.
Two,
Inhale,
Filling your entire filling your entire breathing system with fresh oxygen and hold on to it.
And then exhale,
Noticing again the wave of relaxation gently sweeping over you.
Three,
Inhaling very deeply so that you're brimming with air and taking a moment at the top to soak in the life force that we call oxygen.
Exhale,
Noticing your body relaxing in all different areas without any effort from you.
Four,
Fully inhale the life force,
Beginning to feel these breaths purifying your entire body.
And exhaling now,
Not having to do anything at all,
Just noticing how you're feeling.
And five,
Last one,
A full,
Beautiful breath coming in.
Hold it,
Feeling its goodness.
And exhale,
Allowing the wave of relaxation to sweep in again over you.
Now just take note of how you're feeling in this moment.
Your body now has an abundance of oxygen.
And this is how we are truly created to feel.
Breathing deeply and fully is an expression of self-compassion.
So let your breath be natural now and notice how abundance feels.
Good.
This is a new tool that you can use when faced with feelings of negativity or loneliness.
Taking five deep,
Purposeful,
And helpful breaths that allow you to relax.
These conscious and dedicated breaths even make it difficult for you to think negatively.
So the next time you catch yourself feeling hopeless,
Take these five healing breaths.
There are many meditative techniques that give you back the range of your awareness.
There are many meditative techniques that give you back the reins,
Allowing you to take control of your emotions instead of allowing your emotions to control you.
And mindfulness through meditation helps you become better acquainted with yourself and your emotions.
So presently,
You are just relaxing and feeling safe and comfortable.
You don't need to do anything.
This is a time you've dedicated to yourself,
Not allowing anything to disturb you.
You have nowhere to go or nothing pressing to do.
You are completely safe and relaxed and are able to make great changes without much effort.
You are now being guided by this relaxation.
It's amazing how our feelings come and go like waves on the ocean shore.
We all know that there's absolutely nothing wrong with feeling relaxed.
So it is just the same as if there's nothing wrong with feeling uncomfortable.
These are only sensations that you're experiencing,
Sensations that will come and go and come and go.
Now gently bring into your awareness the feeling of loneliness.
Notice how and where these sensations of discomfort arise.
And be with this feeling as if you're with a friend who's upset about something that's happened to them.
Be there for your discomfort as if you're consoling a dear friend who has tears in their eyes.
Join with your loneliness as if you're meeting up with someone you love because they called and needed you.
Is this feeling of loneliness actually scary?
Or is it just like a friend who's experiencing a bad day and calling out for someone to console them?
You soothe your friend's tears with your compassion,
The same as you soothe your lonesome feelings.
Be present and listen because you are the only one who can give solace to this feeling just as how your friend reached out to you only when they needed comfort.
You alleviate these feelings of isolation by being there with them.
Not pushing them away.
Would you tell a troubled friend to go away when they call you upset asking for your presence?
You wouldn't.
Then do not tell your lonesomeness to go away either.
Good.
Now allow any feelings of seclusion,
Discomfort,
Or pain to just pass by like a rain cloud that was brought on by a heavy rain.
And as the clouds pass by and the sun peeks out beaming with light and warmth.
And when you console these uncomfortable feelings,
Sit with them as a friend.
You're allowing the storm of upset of rain and then allowing to let go.
And then continue in the wind,
Seeing the sun break through,
Drying up the waters with its warmth.
You can clearly see a smile on your friend's face because you're always there for them.
Good.
The cure of loneliness is to change our focus as soon as you feel it arise.
And practicing these necessary techniques make it more meaningful to have encounters with your inner self and allowing your loneliness to become an ally.
Thank you for making this time for you.
You did such a good job today.
You can revisit this anytime you feel lonely and know that you have a friend here that's willing to hold you and love you unconditionally as you allow these feelings to fade.
