Hello and welcome to the You Are Enough Meditation.
I wanna first start by sharing that feelings of inadequacy,
Inferiority,
Or low self-esteem are something that many people experience.
It can be a stressful and very challenging time.
Whether these feelings are surrounding your work,
Your personal life,
Your relationships,
They can lead to struggles that prevent us from reaching our fullest potential.
And this meditation practice today will help you to take the first steps of overcoming your feelings of inadequacy and recognizing your worth.
So go ahead,
Beautiful.
Find a nice and comfortable position.
Maybe that's sitting upright,
Making sure your back and neck and head are all held straight,
No straining,
Relaxed,
Yet alert.
Maybe you can roll some tension out of those shoulders,
Pushing them up,
Back,
And down,
Away from your ears,
And allowing your hands to gently rest in your lap.
And when you're ready,
Close your eyes.
Let's start by taking a relaxing,
Big,
Deep breath in.
And when you're at the top of your inhale,
Hold it just for a count of three,
And then release the breath out slowly and gently.
Taking a long,
Deep breath in,
Holding for a count of three,
And releasing the breath out slowly and steadily.
Allow yourself to do this one more time,
Letting everything go with that exhale.
And then allow yourself to relax the breath and let it return to its natural rhythm.
And allow yourself to arrive at this present moment,
Giving yourself permission to just be.
Nowhere to be,
Nowhere to go,
Nothing to do.
It's just you,
This present moment,
Taking time to find stillness in your body and your mind.
Breathing in and breathing out.
And as you sit here,
Begin to focus your attention on your breath,
And imagine that every time you breathe in,
A bright yellow light enters your body and fills you with warmth of sunshine.
Breathing in this warm yellow light and allowing it to penetrate every part of your body.
You can see this light enter your body through your nose,
Filling your lungs,
Softly and illuminating your face.
This light is relaxing your eyes,
Your cheeks,
Your lips,
Your jaw,
Your neck.
And with every new breath in,
See this golden light traveling down your arms,
Into your hands and your fingertips.
Travels to your belly and your hips and your legs and your feet,
All the way down to your toes.
Just take this moment to feel its warmth filling your body with every single breath.
The warmth feels soothing and comforting.
Now on your next breath,
Allow the sunshine to find any places within you that you think are not good enough.
This can be parts of your body,
Pieces of your personality,
Your mind,
Or memories of the past.
You don't have to overthink here,
Just breathe and send that breath and that golden light into your body and allow it to find those places if you can't pick them up right off the bat.
Now,
Once your attention has found those places,
Take a deep long breath in and allow that golden light to fill those spaces with soothing and nurturing energy.
Allow this light to heal,
Repair,
Restore any doubts that you have about yourself.
Allow this warm,
Happy light to heal any self-criticisms,
Self-comparison,
Self-judgment,
Or perfectionism.
You begin to notice that this light removes any doubts within you.
Invite in self-compassion,
Patience,
Understanding,
Kindness,
And acceptance.
With every in-breath,
Allow these good and positive feelings to sink deep into your body.
And when you're ready,
I want you to repeat these following phrases quietly to yourself,
Or if that doesn't feel natural,
You can simply listen.
I am enough.
I am strong.
I am smart.
I am talented.
I am creative.
I am loved.
I am grateful for who I am and who I can be.
I have everything I need to get to where I wanna be.
I am powerful enough to live in accordance with my own values,
Desires,
And truth.
I am enough.
I am enough.
I am enough.
Allow these words to reinforce all your positive characteristics,
Your abilities,
Your skills,
Your values.
And when you feel that you're not good enough,
And when you look into that mirror and it feels clouded,
It prevents you from truly seeing who you are.
When we attend to the parts of ourselves that we think are not good enough,
And we begin to meet that with compassion,
We wipe that mirror clean.
So give yourself permission to connect with yourself and the world around you.
Transform your feelings of lack to an extraordinary life abundant with love and great happiness.
You are enough,
And we are so lucky to have you in this world.
