Taking a moment to find a comfortable seated or lying down position.

Adjusting your body in whatever ways you need in order to find stillness for this entire practice.

Gently close your eyes and allow your mind and body to fully relax.

Bringing awareness to your breath,

Feeling the rise and the fall of the belly as the oxygen flows through.

Taking this time to ground down in your space and give yourself full permission to feel whatever comes up throughout this journey.

Allow your imagination to take you on a journey back in time.

Releasing old conditioning,

Opening your heart and bringing more peace and clarity to your life.

Take a few breaths here and allow your body to fully relax.

You are safe to feel.

Now imagine yourself sitting by a river.

It is a cloudy yet crisp fall day.

There is a slight breeze in the air which seems to be circulating the fresh smell of nature around you.

The birds are singing,

The trees are blowing in the wind and the river is flowing.

There is something so calming about listening and watching the calmness of the water flowing down the riverbed,

Followed by a moment of turbulence as the water crashes against the rocks.

Notice how some parts of the river are so calm and clear you can see the entire riverbed and how other parts are so turbulent that all you see is whiteness and bubbles.

Creating such a deep awareness of how the water has its ebbs and flows just like life does.

Time goes by as you are sitting there just taking in nature when for a moment the Sun peeks out from behind the clouds beaming its warmth on your chest.

Lighting up the entire sky where for a second all you see is light.

Pure brightness and rays of sunshine glistening down from above.

As you continue taking in this beautiful moment you can feel someone's presence around you.

Strangely you feel very safe as the presence of this figure feels very familiar to you.

You turn your head towards the person only to realize that you are looking directly at yourself except a younger version.

You are sitting next to you as a child.

You are being pulled together experiencing this moment for a deeper reason,

A deeper purpose.

You have been brought to your younger self so you can heal fully,

So you can tell the child that lies within all the things you didn't hear when you were young.

So you can heal those broken wounds and move forward in your life with more clarity and peace.

Take a moment to bring yourself back to a time as a child where you needed help.

Maybe this was a time where you felt deeply hurt,

Alone,

Wounded,

Sad.

Where you needed that nurturing or love but never received it.

Come back to that time in your life and fully experience how you felt in that moment.

How old were you?

What were you wearing?

Who was around?

By recognizing all parts of this experience,

You can bring more peace and clarity back to your life.

Take a few breaths here,

Sinking deeper into this experience,

Giving yourself permission to feel you are safe.

In that moment in time where you needed help,

Where you felt deeply hurt or wounded,

What did you need to hear?

Tell yourself that.

Whatever it is you felt lacked,

Whatever words or actions were missed,

And allow yourself to experience that moment as if it was happening for the first time,

Giving yourself whatever it was you needed.

Say it out loud if you feel comfortable doing so.

Maybe all you needed to hear in that moment was,

I love you.

I am here for you.

I see you.

I hear you.

You are safe.

Or maybe you just wanted the loving comfort and safety of simply being held in your mother or father's arms.

Whatever experience you needed to have,

Give yourself that.

Give yourself unconditional permission to feel deeply,

To allow whatever needs to come up and be released to happen.

Give yourself the next few moments to be simply just experiencing and witnessing.

If there are any lasting things you want to share with your younger self,

Feel free to do so now.

Whether it is in words or simply just wrapping your arms around your body and giving yourself a loving hug.

As you leave this experience,

Plant it deeply that you can come back and reconnect with your inner child anytime you desire.

You can allow yourself to feel into any other experiences where you felt deeply hurt or wounded throughout your lifetime and heal them too,

Simply just by acknowledging them and giving them whatever love and attention they needed yet did not receive.

Taking a few breaths,

Allowing yourself to connect back to your space.

Without forcing it,

Trying to find the natural rhythm of your breath.

Experiencing the inhale as the healing you received and the exhale as the release of hurt and pain you were carrying.

Recognizing the clarity and lightness you feel in your mind and body and the unconditional love you feel in your heart space.

Remembering that life itself is just a bunch of ebbs and flows,

Various experiences and moments in time and that whatever brings pain can be healed as long as you give yourself permission to feel it all.

Taking a few more breaths,

Allowing your body to integrate everything it received today throughout this experience.

Whenever it feels right to do so,

You can open your eyes,

Coming back fully to this present moment.

When the music stops,

Feel free to take as long as you need and give yourself space to reflect upon this experience before going about your day.

Thank you for joining me in this meditation.

I hope you have a beautiful day.

You

That was a lovely journey. I went through a range of emotions and left feeling understood.
