Welcome to the New Moon relaxation and intention setting meditation.
Sit or lie down and make yourself comfortable.
If you'd like,
Have a journal nearby or at the end of this track you can drift off to sleep.
Gently close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose and exhale out through your mouth.
Once more inhale through your nose and fill your body with the air and energy around you and exhale out through your mouth.
Let your breath return to its natural rhythm.
Feel your breath travel through your body as we begin and enter the energy of the New Moon.
The New Moon signifies the start of a new cycle.
It is the natural beginning and also a natural end.
It is a time to set your intention which will grow as the Moon does.
Keep your breath steady and feel your body relax.
With each exhale,
Relax.
Your muscles soften,
Your body gets heavier.
This is a lower energy phase so we will relax and listen to our intuition.
Imagine the night sky filled with stars.
The dark moon hovers over you.
It's comforting even though you can't really see it but its shadow is there.
It is resting and going through its cycle.
Just like humans need rest and just as we cycle,
So does nature and the Moon.
Keep breathing.
And with each exhale,
Relax.
Bring awareness to your body,
Feeling the surface beneath you.
It is comforting.
It is strong.
It is steady.
It supports you.
The night sky is so vast.
The stars millions of light years away twinkle as your body relaxes.
The New Moon asks you to breathe and rest.
Allow your body and mind rest as the stars blink away in the night.
And the dark moon orbits steady,
Aware.
Relax and let yourself breathe.

This doesn't have to be a goal or accomplishment,
But it can be.
Feel your intention.
Feel what it feels like to have your intention fulfilled.
Imagine it through your body.
Imagine your intention coming true,
Everything achieving.
Your intention is fully realized.
Hold that feeling in your body.
Whatever it is,
It can be positivity,
Creativity,
Focus,
Or it can be a more concrete goal.
Whatever your intention is,
Feel it being fulfilled.
Breathe as you feel that intention.
Hold it in front of your mind.
Let the feeling surround you.
And let's hold for a moment as this intention seeps into your body,
Into your conscious,
And into your subconscious.
Now let that intention go.
Feel your intention leave your body easily,
Just as a breath does.
This intention is planted like a seed,
And it will grow as the moon does during this cycle.
With the New Moon and stars above you,
Breathe and relax.
You can now drift off to sleep,
Having your intention set,
Having your breath fill your body.
Or if you'd like,
Start to deepen your breath and slowly open your eyes.
If you'd like,
Write down the feelings that came up and write your intention down so that at the full moon,
We can reflect back.
