Welcome to this take your time sleep meditation that's not only gonna slow your rhythm and allow you to sleep super deeply but it's also gonna reinforce your ability to move at your own pace through the world and feel deeply relaxed more than ever before.
So if that sounds good just go ahead and eliminate any distractions from your sleeping space maybe put your phone in another room or on do not disturb get your room nice and dark and cool and when you feel like everything is just so I invite you to crawl into bed at your own pace and I suggest now shimmying your way into a simple Shavasana lying on your back with your arms by your side or whatever position feels like it would help your energy flow smoothly through your body make any micro adjustments that feel good to you and then settle intentionally into stillness as consistently as you can for the rest of the session making that decision now and now take a slow deep powerful breath in through your nose breathe down to your toes and let it go super slow out through the mouth decompressing a little bit more as you do on the next breath imagine yourself breathing in any thoughts or stresses or distractions from the day and just letting it all go into the universe as you breathe out powerfully one last time breathe in super deep and slow almost like you're inflating your aura and letting your breath flow out feeling that energetic aura expand even more as you release and start by noticing the sounds in the room around you right now notice the simplicity of those sonic patterns as they dance through your ears feel yourself starting to tune in to drink in the details of those sounds in this moment and feel the tips of your fingers in this moment buzzing with a subtle energy as you meet them with a gentle close attention and now perhaps counterintuitively start to be aware of any part of you that's addicted to rushing that feels impatient that's always trying to lean into the next moment but never fully balanced here intercept any judgment or resistance towards this part of you just start to be curious observe it notice where it's located most strongly in your body and allow it to exist fully and freely for this moment and notice how perhaps this part of you is the part that likes to make things happen that thinks it has to take charge and charge into the next moment always that's why it might have put on a sleep meditation because it's trying to make sleep happen and just notice without judgment or resistance it's energetic signature what does that rushing or impatience feel like as you sense it in this moment start to become intimately familiar with it invite it to run its course like a way so you can observe it exhausting itself without trying to interfere notice now how the longer you consciously allow that rushing part of you to just be and do its thing it might start to notice that it's safe to let go of its over activity and begin to decompress as you don't try to put up a fight as you don't try to get yourself to relax as you simply allow the rushing part of you to be what it is you might notice that the relaxation process unfolds on its own as you simply allow that energy to evaporate now into the universe into the space around you not trying to hang on to it as you don't need it right now it's safe to let things come to a point of stillness for the pendulation to slow down into a balanced moment and I invite you to begin to intentionally start to breathe in that energy of steadiness intentional slowness and the inner poise that flows from that stillness that quality to deepen as you breathe at a purposeful effortless pace and begin to bring that single-pointedness around the body as you begin to build your own slower rhythm letting go of thoughts as they arise and staying dedicated in a detailed way to the energy you sense as you begin at the tongue feeling the sensations within the mouth and the jaw dropping to the center of the neck and contouring the collarbones with your attention as you divert to both shoulders feeling the energy broadening across the shoulders slinking down into the biceps and triceps dropping into the elbows and the lower arms and feeling the pulsation of energy at the palms of your hands feeling a salient slowness dancing across your fingertips starting at the thumbs to the index fingers middle fingers ring fingers and the pinkies dropping down all the way to the slowness in the toes feeling the big toes second toes third concentrating on the fourth toes and dropping into the direct points of the little toes feeling the grounding energy wash through the soles of your feet ascending to the tops of your feet and your ankles feeling the blood flow and energy rushing up into the calf muscles and shins taking your time and slowing down savoring the sensations in the knees rush nowhere to be as you feel the quads and the hamstrings coalescing into one awareness feeling the glutes bubbling up into the lower belly feeling the breath flowing and soothing the lower belly noticing how you have all the time in the world to notice the subtle difference in energy as you bubble up into the upper belly feeling the particular patterns there with the breath and slowing down purposefully as you shift into the center of the chest feeling the heart in gentle harmony with the breath in this moment going deeper into the layers of energy at the heart center with the breath at your pace letting the world and all the mind activity fade far into the background and just letting the gentle rhythm of heart and breath to become one with the entirety of your awareness and now maintain some awareness on your heart and breath as we begin to affirm either in your mind or whispering gently aloud these time reclaiming affirmation feeling the heart and breath and repeating now I choose to feel I have all the time in the world feeling and seeing as you repeat even if others are rushing I can choose to take my time feeling the truth of this at your heart as you repeat I am more effective efficient and full of enjoyment when I take my time one more time deepening that one repeating I am more effective efficient and full of enjoyment when I take my time repeating at the heart it's safe to let go of the past and future and feel this moment at my pace repeating gently the pressures fears and baggage of the world aren't mine and I give them back to the world repeating I can be quick when I need to be quick without ever needing to hurry and finally repeating I choose to enjoy leading with the part of me that takes its time and I invite you now as you rest your attention easily at your heart with the breath to see that version of yourself and feel that energy and rhythm in your body the version of you that really takes your time and enjoys every moment of the process seeing yourself moving through your day tomorrow overflowing with life energy and relaxation savoring the robust fullness of the flow of every moment he's fully enjoying where you are as if it's right where you're meant to be and take a slow gentle deep breath in and let it wash through the whole body and diffuse your attention like a soothing wave through the entire physical body now on the next breath imagine yourself gathering up all that energy and on the exhale send it out slowly and effortlessly into the space that surrounds you and feel yourself aware of your body and the space around you as one energy if it feels safe just sense yourself harmonized and connected with this slow field of present energy feel the vibrations of that life energy sinking into your system and allowing you to slow down and ease deeper into the moment into a sense of total relaxation when thoughts or anything arises in that space that you're aware of just notice and effortlessly let that go at your pace into the space every time you let go feel the waves of energy in the space becoming slower more deeply restful on the deepest levels imaginable feel and sense yourself letting go and drifting super slow into that restful aware space without even trying too hard just allowing yourself and keep taking your time reinforcing that the deepest levels imaginable that there's nowhere to be right now there's nothing to do it's safe to let go into the space and flow
