Welcome to this future self-visualization and affirmation practice designed to help you connect with your confident,

Creative and compassionate self.

Try this practice every day for a week and notice an increase in ease,

Self-esteem and clarity.

So,

Beginning as always by closing down your eyes and offering yourself the gift of three deep and intentional breaths.

As your breath settles into its own natural rhythm,

Reminding yourself that each in-breath is an opportunity to begin again.

But perhaps each time with a little more gentleness towards yourself.

Each out-breath an opportunity to let go of self-criticism,

Of all the stories that you aren't enough.

Breathing in,

Receiving fresh life force,

Possibility and creativity.

Breathing out,

Softening any sense of striving or pushing.

Here,

In this moment,

You are exactly where you are meant to be.

You are safe to soften.

And now taking a few deep breaths into the center of your chest or your energetic heart.

Feel into your chest expanding at the front,

Back and sides with each in-breath.

Trusting that this physical expansion is encouraging an expansion of your heart and your ability to access your creativity in meditation.

Expanding with each breath.

And now in your mind's eye,

Seeing,

Sensing,

Feeling or imagining that you are sitting somewhere out in nature,

On the edge of a gently flowing river.

You can hear the water as it trickles by.

You notice the smooth rocks beside you.

Made smooth by years of rain,

Water flow and the changing seasons.

You can hear birds singing in the distance.

You can feel the water as it flows by.

Warmth of the sun as it greets your back.

As you sit by the river,

Your mind feels relaxed and expansive.

And you begin to daydream.

Imagining yourself a few days into the future.

You watch with curiosity and delight how this version of you is naturally confident,

Creative and optimistic.

This version of you feels light.

They step easily over the everyday hurdles.

Not only do they feel light,

They feel confident.

Not letting the small things get them down or take them off track.

This version of you feels like they have enough time.

Sure,

Your life still has challenges.

Work deadlines,

Family responsibilities,

Social engagement.

But this version of you handles them with a certain flexibility and grace.

There is no time wasted with self-blame or criticism.

No rehashing the mistakes of the day.

You get a real sense that this version of you is on your side.

Long,

Smooth inhale.

Long,

Smooth exhale.

As you daydream,

You see this future version of you setting clear boundaries with family and friends.

You see yourself resting when you are tired.

This version of you is eating well,

Sleeping deeply.

This version of you moves through their day in flow,

Feeling grateful for their relationships and compassionate towards themselves and others.

They find joy and delight in the everyday.

This future you turns and looks at the present you sitting by the river's edge.

And they smile.

A smile that is filled with love.

And this future version of you holds out their hand to your present self.

And you take your own hand.

It feels deeply comforting.

And together you sit by the river's edge,

Feeling peaceful and at home.

And you repeat these intentions silently in your mind,

Whilst allowing them to land deep in your heart.

I respond to life's challenges with flexibility and ease.

I am on my own side.

I take care of the basics.

Food,

Sleep,

Exercise and self-care.

I trust that I am enough.

Long,

Smooth inhale.

Long,

Smooth exhale.

Awareness returning to your body as it sits or lies in meditation.

Opening your eyes when you're ready.

May you bring this vision of your future self to life today.

Remembering your deeper nature and your potential.
