Just finding a comfortable position lying on your back.
Once you find as much comfort in your body as you can,
Taking any micro movements that you need to take a big breath in through the nose and as you exhale let it pour out of the mouth and feel your body land a little more on the earth beneath you.
If you're outside taking a moment to look up at the sky,
Noticing it however it is,
And if you're inside closing down your eyes and just imagining the blue sky above you.
And if you are outside and there's cloud cover,
Just seeing whether you could bring your awareness to the blue sky that exists behind the clouds.
Perhaps noticing the blue between the clouds or if it's completely clouded,
Just bringing your awareness to the layer of blue behind the clouds.
Just taking some time here to breathe naturally with your body on the earth and notice the sky.
And as you next naturally breathe in,
Imagine that you're breathing in the beautiful blueness of the sky in through your nostrils and all the way up to your mind.
Allowing your breath to continue to pulse naturally now as this blue sky starts to form around all of your thoughts,
Creating a buffer,
A sense of spaciousness between one thought to the next.
Getting a sense that this blue sky,
Your consciousness,
Is separating your thoughts,
Allowing them to be singular.
Just one at a time,
Just noticing how it feels to have spaciousness between your thoughts,
Created by the always existing blue sky.
And seeing now whether you could witness the thoughts that are truths and the thoughts that are lies.
Thoughts that don't serve you.
Perhaps worry or anxiety being projected into the future and portrayed to you as a truth.
When really you can look at it now and recognize that it is not that.
Just recognizing which thoughts are true and which no longer serve you.
Maybe you kind of just get a sense of that with color or feeling.
Maybe you can hear the thoughts in your mind.
And from here,
Just getting a sense that this blue sky continues to pour in as you breathe in.
And as you exhale,
Feeling the thoughts that no longer serve be engulfed by the beautiful blue sky.
Feel how easy it is to let them go,
To let them be filled with pure consciousness.
Continue to breathe and let them dissolve one by one,
Maybe a couple at a time,
However it happens for you is perfect.
Until you're left with just a couple of thoughts,
Maybe one in particular,
That whispers to you a truth.
Perhaps something that you've forgotten about yourself or life.
As you next inhale,
Imagine that you're sending gratitude to your brain with your breath.
Feeling your entire brain,
Your mind with gratitude.
And as you exhale,
Let that gratitude seep all the way,
Filter all the way through your body,
All of your cells.
Landing you back in your body.
As you next breathe in,
Feel as though all of your cells come alive a little more.
Simply with awareness.
And as you exhale,
Feel the weight of your body and allow that gratitude to drop out of the base of you,
The back of you,
Down and into the earth.
Thanking the earth for holding you,
For healing you.
As you next breathe in,
Imagine that you're breathing up from the back of your heart space.
As you exhale,
Let that breath land in the heart,
This seat of love.
And as you inhale,
Imagine that you're expressing that love and gratitude forward and up towards the sky.
With the exhale,
Feeling it meet that blue sky.
Continuing to breathe naturally as you offer gratitude to the sky above.
Recognizing that you're both earth and sky,
A conduit between the two.
And as you gently bring your awareness back to the weight of your body,
Noticing how your entire being is feeling now.
As you gently,
Gently begin to wake your body up.
This body that is a combination of all of the element,
The perfect concoction,
A miracle.
Thanking your body and your being for this practice and giving yourself permission to take a spacious mind,
The truths realized and a connected heart out of the practice and into the rest of your life.
When you're ready,
You could rub your hands together and create a little bit of heat.
And then place the hands over your eyes.
As you gently open the eyes behind the hands and let the hands slowly move away to gaze once again at the sky.
Welcome yourself back into place.
Maybe you conclude your practice with placing your hands on your body,
Finding prayer hands,
Honoring yourself in this time in some way.
