Before you begin today's meeting we are going to take a pause.
A powerful pause that reminds us that every time we slow down mindfully it enables us to move forward faster,
More intentionally and yield stronger results.
Take a deep breath in and you are welcome to close your eyes or simply lower your gaze and allow your breath to find a natural easy rhythm.
Although you may be sitting in a room with other colleagues or on a phone or a video call this moment is for you.
To breathe,
To reclaim your energy,
To arrive in this moment in your day,
To center yourself,
To reconnect with your breath,
To calm your nervous system,
To let go of any stress,
Tension or assumptions that you are holding about this upcoming meeting.
This moment is for you to extend yourself and the people around you the grace of knowing that there is so much more going on in our lives alongside this meeting and acknowledging to yourself that those other priorities,
Action items,
Conversations that need to be had,
They don't magically go away.
So when this meditation ends you may need to send a quick email,
A text or jot something down in your notepad to clear space in your mind so that when this meeting starts you can fully show up,
You can be present,
You can deeply listen and receive from others and you can access clarity of thought to express your own ideas.
Take a deep breath in feeling the sensation of the breath coming in through your nose,
Feeling up your lungs and slowly easily leaving your body through the exhalation.
Making the choice today to let go of your expectations,
To use your voice and to allow others to be heard.
When you are ready you can gently open your eyes and come back into the space that you are in.
Taking one final deep breath in and beginning this meeting from a state of calm,
Focus and clarity.
