For this visualization meditation,
Get into a comfortable position that could either be lying down,
Reclining,
Or you may want to just completely lay down on the floor and allow yourself to let go.
Once you're in a comfortable position,
Start by taking a few deep breaths.
As you exhale,
Imagine all of the tension and fatigue slowly leaving your body.
Allow your mind to focus on the sensation of the breath coming into your nose and leaving your body through your nose.
Begin to deepen your breath.
This could look like taking a long inhale and counting four counts,
And then a long exhale counting four to five counts.
It may feel good for you to put one hand on your belly and one hand on your heart to really connect with the movement of the breath coming in and out of your body.
We are going to spend the next few minutes visualizing your vision for the year ahead.
Keep your eyes closed,
Keep focusing on your breath,
And truly allow yourself to relax and be here now.
When we visualize,
We are mentally rehearsing future situations,
And science tells us that when we start with the end in mind,
We allow ourselves the possibility to meet our desired future.
Our brains cannot distinguish between an event happening in visualization or in reality.
This is really training our brain to look for opportunities that support our goals.
This is mental rehearsal,
And it changes the way we think and feel on a daily basis and primes our mind to bring forward the opportunities that will allow us to reach our goals.
Keep breathing and keep connecting with your breath.
I want you to visualize yourself 12 months from now,
One year from today.
Start by picturing yourself,
Bringing an image of yourself to mind.
How old are you?
What are you wearing?
Where are you?
What are you doing?
Visualize a moment in time,
A moment in time where you are reflecting on the last 12 months and how it went.
What did you accomplish?
How are you celebrating?
What did you achieve that no one expected or thought possible?
How are you being acknowledged and honored for it?
How does it feel in your body to have achieved what you have achieved?
Breathe into that feeling and allow it to touch every part of your body.
Notice how it feels.
What does it now open up for you in all levels of your life?
What is now possible for you that wasn't before?
Keep breathing and connecting with the feeling.
What does this version of you feel like?
What emotions are arising for you in this moment?
Can you embody the emotions,
The feelings of that version of yourself?
Keep breathing and connecting,
Savoring the feeling.
We are all born with the deep desire to want to improve our lives and move towards our potential.
It is safe for you to feel this way.
When you are ready,
You can gently open your eyes,
Savoring this quiet knowing that you are capable of anything,
Savoring this connection to your highest potential,
Knowing that when you are in this place,
This place of possibility,
Anything is possible.
